Our tiny house homestead project began in September 2020 and has taught us so many lessons along the way. Sometimes it feels like we bit off more than we can chew, but we're now in awe of how well everything is coming together! None of these projects would be possible without YOU, so thank you for being here and following along with our journey!
5 of the 6 of our projects are in the final stages!!!
    1. Ultimate Off Grid Campervan
    2. Workshop & Garage Renovation
    3. Barn & Land Construction
    4. Building Secret Project in the Woods (reveal at Christmas!)
    5. Building a Shipping Container Home
    6. Upper Workshop Renovation
We're hoping to be hitting the road in our completed campervan and exploring Europe throughout 2023. This tiny house homestead is the ultimate base for us to have and come back to relax to when we need a bit of a travel break!

    🐾 Who are we?
We’re Ladi (from Czechia) & Margaret (from USA) and we love eBikes, campervans, & cats. In 2020 our van life lifestyle flipped upside down, & we needed to stop traveling in our camper to lockdown in eastern Czech Republic due to the pandemic. With no travel plans and some new time on our hands, we decided to sell our old van, start an electric bike business, begin a youtube channel, build our ultimate dream campervan, renovate a junkyard into a tiny house homestead, plan a container & upper workshop space… well, some other smaller projects in-between 😅.
What we thought would only be 6 months of “stillness” has become 2 years of innovation, progress, and so much fun, and most of that is thanks to YOU. Although we’re excited to be back on the road and traveling the world again soon, we’re so thankful to lay a foundation here in Central Europe & bring you with us on this crazy journey. Thank you for supporting us and being part of this incredible community!

If I worked 800 hours a day, I'd still not be able to keep up with the team building this amazing structure. They're awesome. I love the roof design, as it also allows light.

I love your engineering/design brain!!! I love how you created the roof over the deck which still lets in light...but offers shade also (I have never understood pergolas as they offer no shade when the sun is at it's zenith!) and always protects you in the rain, allowing you to enjoy the outdoor space more. Additionally, you gained footage by framing outside the steel container frame instead of inside of it, and you built that connecting area instead of abutting the containers, again gaining space.
Also, it JUST dawned on me (I may be a little slow.) that you will be able to live in that guest house until your penthouse is built. Truly a must for honeymooners!

I’m always blown away at the way Ladi’s dad and crew work to quickly . They are so knowledgeable and organised about the task ahead of them and all seem to be so in sync with each other that I feel if I blink I’m going to miss something .
I have just had a summer house built at the bottom of my garden and it needs insulation but I’ve been dragging my feet . Just watching your van build and now this I’m so inspired to go out tomorrow and buy the stuff and finish it . Maybe I can set myself to 2x speed and blast out some inspirational music and get it done ready for decorating and put all the furnishings that I’ve been collecting and storing around my house .
Can I suggest a very large mirror looking back at the kitchen area from the corner between the two containers . Not only will it make it feel bigger but it should bounce more light into that area . X
I’m off to make lists xx

One interestiing thing I saw recently was expanded polystryrene insumation that is the same shape as the corrogations. There were two styles, one a was sheet with the corrogations so you can place it in place in one go. The other just fitted in the gaps, then you add on top another layer. Would be easy to make with a cnc hotwire cutter.

Hmm... I personally think you're doing a great job though I'm not sure if this counts as using two shipping containers since you really only used the frame of the smaller one. It's still recycled though so all good. I was actually kinda sad to see all the wood get covered up (because it looked great even with all its imperfections (or maybe because of the imperfections) but I know it was necessary for both insulation and the look you want, lol. These guys are certainly intense and a great build team though! (A+ for work ethic and skill but don't ask for their grade on safety, lol.) Plus, all the animals be like, "you work hard, and I'll be here to be cute and cheer you up and lift your spirits so you can work harder, don't mind us." Great job guys! This American is certainly impressed by you all. 😂👍
P.S. - I'm always tempted by your e-bikes but I suck at balancing on a bike (except stationary ones) so I'd need a trike version with a recumbent seat and a roll cage to feel safe in one, lol. 😅 Good luck with your sales though! 🙏

Thanks you two! This is the kind of timelapse construction goodness that keeps me coming back ;) It looks fantastic, fun to see it go from "materials" to this tidy building, and I love Ladi's tour at the end esp. pantomime. What's going on with that insulation board in front of the container double side doors? I like how you kept (er, right?) that patina/character.

    • @Wild_Pernaja
      @Wild_Pernaja Рік тому

I agree. Cudos for external insulation, which should reduce the risk. But I hope they plan on having a dehumidifier because with high enough humidity the condensation can start on surfaces that are not that cold. However, we don't know. Maybe they will install an ERV:) Which is a must in any air-tight building.
