Campervan Update: Projects remaining include our bathroom (with toilet and indoor shower), Margaret's zone (get ready area & clothes storage) in combo with our entry way! The other ideas we'll be adding (suspension, curtains, bug screens, awning, tool holders, etc) are secondary, as they don't stop us from hitting the road and adding these along the way!
Container Update: Bed storage, desk, overhead, couch mods, and TV unit built & installed! Next will be the kitchen:)
Cabin Update: Need to finish the couch, build a small bar, & a storage unit for the landing space on the second floor. Plus add some panoramas ;)

I haven't seen anything new! Impatiently waiting for their next video -- van review, I hope.
Not only are you a great craftsman but also a life coach, the idea of embracing mistakes is fundamental, I never learned how to do it and so have spent my seventy years avoiding life so as not to ever make mistakes believing that I would be happier that way-what a waste of a life. Thank you for passing that along to your viewers I hope they hear that gem.
A recliner in a van, who would have thunk? The foot release on the trash bin is a great detail. I'm looking forward to seeing you guys traveling again and working out the van.
Counting down the days! After we upload we usually spend the rest of the evening plotting the details of the week. Since Jan 1, 23 we’ve been trying to be extra efficient to make sure we can move into the van and re-start our nomadic lifestyle in March! So far we’re hitting schedule!!

You both, along with all who work alongside you, do excellent work and create amazing videos! That said, we want to share again the distraction from your content that we find with the insertion of clips from TV sitcoms and newspaper cartoons. All the best with your endeavors.
I’ve done a bunch of upholstery. If you do upholster again, aside from “easing the edges, I wrap with “Batting” then I use muslin to make a nice “tight package”, before topping with the finished fabric. Makes for a smoother, even, finish. I also cut, shape and sew the finish fabric’s corners. This keeps bulky gathering overlapping at the corners from occurring. Happy upholstering!!!!❤🎉

Any time you're working with someone productive (not to be confused with they're just like you). You will never have a problem executing whatever task/s with zero problems. As the same vision and mentality is present.
this van is like diy luxury, truly a dream
I used to work in a Ford seating plant. We made the foam cushions for the luxury Ford vehicles. We used electric carving knives to cut and shape the seats where needed. It sure saves time, effort, and mess.

I have had two different recliners in my van (Ford Transit 250 - medium length). Because I use my van as a mobile office, I wanted a really comfortable seat where I could go to the park and open the side door. I highly recommend recliners. I did take mine out because I found another chair that was equally comfortable, but easier to take in and out of the van. I use my van for disaster relief, so I like to have everything in there be something I can easily take out on my own. The recliner was a bit too heavy for me to do that without assistance. I did not find it comfortable trying to sleep in the recliner. I was hoping it would be comfortable for that purpose, which would have allowed me to get rid of my bed. It didn't work out from that angle, because my height and shoulder width didn't line up with the recliner. Also, the recliner tended to keep raising up on me instead of lying flat. Great video !!!
To round the corners of foam easier than cutting and sanding each surface, just use contact adhesive on the side and glue it to itself (use a lollipop stick to push in the centre and both sides naturallypull together). I do this building puppets all the time, it always leaves a nice rounded finish.

Why do you think the recliner is more for Ladi & not for me? Kinda more for me cuz I’m the social one haha. I’d say this time my office is also better, bigger table and it swivels. But neither of us really own either seat, just depends on that day’s dynamic. No pattern here that warrants concern 😇

This is awesome! Do you know how far it comes out from the wall? I think in my build I want to have 2 of those on one side of my van, and a desk with a rolling chair on the other, so I wanted to make sure there wouldn't be any clearance issues!
Why wouldn't you just measure yourself whatever recliner mechanism you find... unless you somehow also found the same model super old Czech recliner somewhere?

You guys mentioned in an old video that the van would have a wet room with actuators or something like that, is that still in the plans?
Yes! It will be convertible space, but I think we have a better idea than the actuators. We’ve learned at the cabin that even though it’s an awesome feature, at night it can wake the other up. They just aren’t quiet enough yet, but I think we sorted the next best thing

The wet room was one of the most anticipated parts of the build for me
I would just remove this and make something so you can extent your legs on from the driver seat. This does not look comfy at all =P But still amazing work

Me thinketh: that recliner would be a better position to work from. Can that monitor be lowered enough. Maybe some sort of legoon mini-table is also in order for this recliner.
From now-on, Lazy-Boy Recliner is the new must in any luxury van!
