I fell down some stairs and had a stiff knee but, my knee doctor pushed my leg back with force & I heard a "pop" sound.After that I could bend my knee with no problem. She still recommended an MRI, but QUESTION: Why did she if I don't have no more pain? And even thou I'm happy I don't have pain, how did she know to push back and straighten the leg? I was surprised. Sir. Thank you for a very informative video. 2 months ago I stretched in bed one morning and the right knee suddenly jammed very painfully and hasn't unlocked since then. It is very painful to try and straighten the leg. Until then I was very fit and active with no knee pain or stiffness, although 1 month earlier I had a left shoulder rotator cuff operation. Reaching down to the right foot for shoes/socks etc is impossible, as is getting in and out of a car. I also have pretty intense sciatica in the same right leg from lumbar degeneration as a result of sleeping on my back after the shoulder op. and over stretching to dress. Physiotherapy has not improved the knee so far. I'm 84 and can't face another op on the knee at this stage. Any suggestions?
in 2015 i had suffered with ligament frecture in left during playing football. but with in 4-5 months i get recovered without any surgury . i had recover with a phycition"s exercises . I ruptured my quadricep tendon on april 24th, had surgery on april 27th, leg was hot swollen, red from the onset, spent 6 days i hospital asking to see anyone, for anti biotics as i believed it wasn't right, kept asking for them, i could not get any, i discharged myself, expected to be seen maybe a week later or 10 days, i got an appointment for staple removal and wound check on the 19th of may, i thought that is a long time, the leg was a 7/10 pain, it started discharging fluid around the 10th, i went to my local gp who said that was normal, i asked for anti biotics, the gp said they dont like us interfering, wouldnt even change the bandage, two days later i went back and said this isnt right it should be healing, its red hot agony, i was assured it was fine, got to the hospital on the 19th, straight away, thats infected, ofcourse it was, booked in for debridement which i got on the 21st of may, i thought all went well, discharged on the 26th, and its taken 4 plaster casts, with weekly and fortnightly wound checks for it to finally heal, it was a big incision, i got put in to a brace on the 13th of july, my leg has been in full extension since the 24th of april, ive tried bending the knee but its extremely tight, rock hard above the pateller, and just isn't working out. The surgeons and everyone else are passing the buck, these things happen, people often look for someone to blame when nobody is......hhhmmmmmmm 22 days left with a festering staph infection, nobody is to blame. Can anyone relate to this, because i keep reading about knee replacements, but nothing like my situation, am i ever going to get range of motion after 11 weeks on none, am i going to need manipulation under anaesthesia? Any advice would be helpful at the minute, everything that could go wrong has.

got hit by a car 7 months and broken leg,,got surgery,metal plate,screws on side of my right leg right under knee,7 monts ago,november 27 2020,now its june 1st and knee bends now but knee is not fully straight with leg,been going to therapy alot cause leg was straight after i got surgery for 3 months,dr got my leg to bend 90 degreese after 60 sessions, but needs to go another quarter the way and hurts when i bends it, its been bending,also i started to worked out on my bench to work on my hamstrings and caffs and all leg muscles my bench lets me do, also,if i put weights on top of my leg up of my knee or push my leg,it goes straight but then it bends a little again and leg dont stay straight especially shows when im standing and making it hard to walk,so im in a wheel chair since this happened 7 months ago,i use a walker also to get around,my left leg has been taking all my weight and is well built,i weigh 200pds and was weighing 230 before while i was at a stop sign until i started working out agin,i keep in shape,my right leg is just starting to get muscle in it,but wont stray straight when standing or laying,it only staightens when i push it straight,been dealing with alot of pain but i can handle it and will try whatever u think,even if u can send me a link to a video to help out,im not giving up on this and refuse any surgery because im willing to deal with pain by stretching my knee until my leg is straight,this is a very serious injury,need all help advice,please,,any opionions u think or help advice u can give,if anything u can also email me at virgilcosta1976123@gmail.com thank you

Sir,mostly my left leg knee suddenly stiff sometime right knee also,when I driving motorcycle or when I sit in a car to the same position long time my knee stiff and when I want to streach it I feel pain and if I want to walk that time it seems that proper mobility is not there and after sometime it smooth own and pain disappear and no problem in movement and stretching but during stiffness if I want to streach the leg forcefully it worsen the problem and slight pain last longer. except sudden stiffness other times there is no problem I can bent and streach my knee completely, it occurs last 3-4 yrs. before it occur rarely, but now it occurs frequently.I exercise regularly but also it occurs. pl.give me the suggestion.

Hello there. Been exactly 10 weeks since I had ORIF surgery to repair a tibia plateau fracture in my right leg. Started physio regime 5 days after the surgery, having 3 sessions a week. This is amazing information and you explained so well. I fell down some stairs and had a stiff knee but, my knee doctor pushed my leg back with force & I heard a "pop" sound.After that I could bend my knee with no problem. She still recommended an MRI, but QUESTION: Why did she if I don't have no more pain? And even thou I'm happy I don't have pain, how did she know to push back and straighten the leg? I was surprised. Didn't know Knee specialist could do that without exams/MRI .

Sir. Thank you for a very informative video. 2 months ago I stretched in bed one morning and the right knee suddenly jammed very painfully and hasn't unlocked since then. It is very painful to try and straighten the leg. Until then I was very fit and active with no knee pain or stiffness, although 1 month earlier I had a left shoulder rotator cuff operation. Reaching down to the right foot for shoes/socks etc is impossible, as is getting in and out of a car. I also have pretty intense sciatica in the same right leg from lumbar degeneration as a result of sleeping on my back after the shoulder op. and over stretching to dress. Physiotherapy has not improved the knee so far. I'm 84 and can't face another op on the knee at this stage. Any suggestions?

in 2015 i had suffered with ligament frecture in left during playing football.
but with in 4-5 months i get recovered without any surgury . i had recover with a phycition"s exercises .
But now, 2 months before i had go for a long run of 10km. after finishing it i cant able to properly bent my left knee ( cant able to fully stright and cant abel to fully bend) (there is no pain in knee only bending problem is there) (and after 4-5 min its get normal) ( there is no sound of cracking in my knee)
after that 10km, whenever i go for a morning jogging of 4km , i feel same difficulty in my knee some time.

I ruptured my quadricep tendon on april 24th, had surgery on april 27th, leg was hot swollen, red from the onset, spent 6 days i hospital asking to see anyone, for anti biotics as i believed it wasn't right, kept asking for them, i could not get any, i discharged myself, expected to be seen maybe a week later or 10 days, i got an appointment for staple removal and wound check on the 19th of may, i thought that is a long time, the leg was a 7/10 pain, it started discharging fluid around the 10th, i went to my local gp who said that was normal, i asked for anti biotics, the gp said they dont like us interfering, wouldnt even change the bandage, two days later i went back and said this isnt right it should be healing, its red hot agony, i was assured it was fine, got to the hospital on the 19th, straight away, thats infected, ofcourse it was, booked in for debridement which i got on the 21st of may, i thought all went well, discharged on the 26th, and its taken 4 plaster casts, with weekly and fortnightly wound checks for it to finally heal, it was a big incision, i got put in to a brace on the 13th of july, my leg has been in full extension since the 24th of april, ive tried bending the knee but its extremely tight, rock hard above the pateller, and just isn't working out. The surgeons and everyone else are passing the buck, these things happen, people often look for someone to blame when nobody is......hhhmmmmmmm 22 days left with a festering staph infection, nobody is to blame. Can anyone relate to this, because i keep reading about knee replacements, but nothing like my situation, am i ever going to get range of motion after 11 weeks on none, am i going to need manipulation under anaesthesia? Any advice would be helpful at the minute, everything that could go wrong has.

@@AdvanceHospitals Thanks for taking the time to reply, and i will research those, I cant find any other videos with the same issues as myself, many tkr videos but my initial injury was a ruptured quadricep tendon, followed by staph infection, keeping my leg in extension for 11 weeks, in all honesty is there much chance of getting a good range of motion just with normal physio considering how tight the leg/knee is, and the amount of time it's been in extension?

got hit by a car 7 months and broken leg,,got surgery,metal plate,screws on side of my right leg right under knee,7 monts ago,november 27 2020,now its june 1st and knee bends now but knee is not fully straight with leg,been going to therapy alot cause leg was straight after i got surgery for 3 months,dr got my leg to bend 90 degreese after 60 sessions, but needs to go another quarter the way and hurts when i bends it, its been bending,also i started to worked out on my bench to work on my hamstrings and caffs and all leg muscles my bench lets me do, also,if i put weights on top of my leg up of my knee or push my leg,it goes straight but then it bends a little again and leg dont stay straight especially shows when im standing and making it hard to walk,so im in a wheel chair since this happened 7 months ago,i use a walker also to get around,my left leg has been taking all my weight and is well built,i weigh 200pds and was weighing 230 before while i was at a stop sign until i started working out agin,i keep in shape,my right leg is just starting to get muscle in it,but wont stray straight when standing or laying,it only staightens when i push it straight,been dealing with alot of pain but i can handle it and will try whatever u think,even if u can send me a link to a video to help out,im not giving up on this and refuse any surgery because im willing to deal with pain by stretching my knee until my leg is straight,this is a very serious injury,need all help advice,please,,any opionions u think or help advice u can give,if anything u can also email me at virgilcosta1976123@gmail.com thank you

Sir,mostly my left leg knee suddenly stiff sometime right knee also,when I driving motorcycle or when I sit in a car to the same position long time my knee stiff and when I want to streach it I feel pain and if I want to walk that time it seems that proper mobility is not there and after sometime it smooth own and pain disappear and no problem in movement and stretching but during stiffness if I want to streach the leg forcefully it worsen the problem and slight pain last longer. except sudden stiffness other times there is no problem I can bent and streach my knee completely, it occurs last 3-4 yrs. before it occur rarely, but now it occurs frequently.I exercise regularly but also it occurs. pl.give me the suggestion.

Been exactly 10 weeks since I had ORIF surgery to repair a tibia plateau fracture in my right leg. Started physio regime 5 days after the surgery, having 3 sessions a week. Despite this, I have very limited ROM with max flex at about 88 degrees and a very stiff and painful knee. Both me and the physiotherapists feel like the knee isn't improving with all that we are doing.

Same position as you my friend done my surgery 4 weeks and 4 days go keep your knee straight as you can put ice on it allot for 20 min for swelling bending will come slowly slowly will take time but it will don’t worry about it when I first broke my knee it was 2and half years ago I couldn’t even bend not even little bit after 3 month I could do it slowly slowly and that was without operation now slowly slowly will work stretch allot bend it slowly slowly give it 3 months will get better will take time
Will take max 1 year for full recovery to get to sport or more depends on you
