Y'know alternatively this could be an Roland of Gilead (Dark Tower) or an Elric of Melibone theme, since like I was referencing before, those characters embody that
Guts straggler with Elric being like a sorta Guts/Griffith crossbred. Sorry for any confusion. I just discovered something cool, and thought it'd be nice to share it.

Honest if you just remove what Rick Riordan said about him, that whole horrifying Satanic Monster deal, and or any other negative depiction and just focus on the original 'pre god
of Evil' label and look at guy that fought, and fought to protect the man/god king he loved only for his brother and sister to slip in and steal his throne to lash back killing his hated
brother only for his own beloved son to turn on him and revive his hated enemy; leading to a bloody conflict with a Hawk of Light (Who's own eye ironically gets skewered) who before
said God witnessed a brutal betrayal via said Hawk chopping his own mother's head off; the same goddess who said Warrior God believed was a Woman he Loved....leading said
God to be Exiled as a Outcast by the Hawk of Light who crowned himself King...YEP! Meet Set everybody! The original Straggler! (God this is totally his theme.)

@@cloudy3907 Nobody I just think it makes for a cool comparison between Guts and
Set with the Beast of Darkness, straggler, vengeance, and violent birth deal. Same with Horus who was also seeking
vengeance and had lost his left eye just like Guts did. I don't know about you about that Order Vs. Chaos Egypt Mythology image
does resemble Guts Vs. Griffith allot. Except they both want to be king, so that's interesting!

@@cloudy3907 Look just ignore the Gods of Egypt movie. I just think its likely Kentaro Miura took some influence from Egyptian Myth when it came to some
aspects of the story. I said that Set's brother and sister had schemed against the throne of the man he was protecting and while the myths vary the version Rick Riordan
went with had Isis poison Ra as a co-conspiracy to get her brother on the throne witch reminds me of Mid-lands Queen trying to kill Griffith. And speaking of him, how can
you look at him and not think Horus with the Hawk of Light? He was a War-god and viewed as a hero by most, and while vengeance was fully Guts's deal (Horus wanting to
kill Set due to his Parents suffering) that bit were he slays his mom for aiding his arch-enemy (Its a moment in the myth were she pulls a spear out of Set post his duel with Horus)
what's not to say he can't be viewed like Griffith to Set's perspective? Yes he's deemed the God of Evil, but he was originally defending the king non-stop against the forces of
Apophis, being deemed the Strongest God (Called God of Change than.) so he could've been viewed like Guts, in terms of being a personal sword for the king.
I mean Guts in his darkest days was blowing chaos and misery whether he went, witch was part to due why Set was a feared god in the first place. As for his Berserk Armor
(Can't believe that Gods of Egypt used something that looked like Guts's armor when he transforms.) its pretty blatant with the demonic wolf-like armor while could very
well reference the Norse Fenris Wolf, could also be an homage to Set's appearance as a unknown dog-like animal. Also the Eclipse.
The Eclipse was a highly Negative image in Egypt myth with it symbolizing the Serpent of Darkness Apep trying to eat the sun, and not only did an Apocalyptic event
happen in Berserk due to an Eclipse ya' know what one of the earliest Apostles Guts fights is? He's fighting a giant Snake Monster! I don't know if that makes me crazy but the
comparisons seem pretty legit. I also can't help but think that Zodd looks a little like Sekhmet a blood drenched lion-like being on a battlefield. Skull-knight could almost be
an Anubis figure with the death association and acting as a spirit guide for the MC. Sorry to bother you. I just think this is cool.
