Pro Racer's Take: Thrashing the 2019 Acura NSX On Track

- In our latest installment of Pro Racer's Take, Andy Pilgrim demonstrates just how good the NSX still is as he flogs it around the NCM Motorsports Park road course. Slow it isn't, producing a 0-60-mph time of just 3.15 seconds-thanks to the boost it receives off the line from its electric motors-and a quarter mile time of 11.05 seconds at 126 mph. Its lap time around the challenging circuit is solid, too, with the entire experience reminding us exactly why it put those smiles on our faces from the moment we first drove it. Check it out here. So great to see the car properly pushed on track! Would love one of these
Love Andy. Love Automobile Magazine. Great track review.
Another excellent review
Nice review Andy , I saw you race at Sebring! I think the NSX is very underrated, but very capable!
you prolly dont care but does someone know a tool to log back into an instagram account?
I was dumb lost my password. I appreciate any tips you can give me
@Wayne Fabian instablaster :)
@Kason Damien I really appreciate your reply. I found the site through google and im trying it out now.
Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
@Kason Damien It worked and I finally got access to my account again. Im so happy:D
Thanks so much you saved my account !
@Wayne Fabian Glad I could help :D
Great review. A criminally underrated car. A lot of the hate this car isn't warranted...for the naysayers drive it first before you write it off...trust me you will be pleasantly surprised. I will have one someday hopefully soon 🙏.
Great car 👍🏻
Nsx is Fantastic
Great video and superb driving. However I want to note the NSX uses two front hood latches. At 7:57 the car clearly has only one of the two front hood latched properly. I hope it didn’t go on track in that condition!
Most knockheads only praise Audi, porsche, Lamborghini, Ferrari and yadahyadahyadah. Have nothing but bull power, muscle idiots. This is most reliable and balanced features absolutely apply to real lifetime car. If the power is not enough? Tune it!
Why wouldn't you buy a Honda brand? Is just because of the brand?
In formula 1 and Indy car engine - is there anyone came closed with HONDA ENGINE?
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
I've been in an NSX, and it is one of the absolute best cars you can buy today.......that nobody actually is.
Most people that can afford it want a Ferrari for looks and impressions. Nothing wrong with that. Those are great cars. This one is the best tho and will be on the road much longer than most other exotics.
@I I used to owned a 1997 NSX, amazing car. Im debating between the 2019 NSX or 2020 718 GT4.
Boss
like watching a video game!
Car is a work of art 'it comes in great colors but american market did not respond 'now corvettes are pricey and some would like another look 'yeahhh factory is discontinuing the car 'just when they should just make a limited amount and aftermarket kits and upgrades for it 'bummer
Fitting the golf clubs in the boot (trunk).......supercar fail!
Piano black is one of the worst materials for interiors, especially on touch areas.
Most people with $175,000 to drop on a car don’t buy a Honda/Acura. I would rather drive a Porsche. 😊
Given a choice between this an a 911 Turbo (standard non-S), I think I'd choose this.
Slightly used one is half off
I nothing boring about a GT3 though. Doesn’t matter if it’s slower, it still has a naturally aspirated flat 6 that revs to ~9k, has an option for manual transmission, and is rear drive. Doesn’t really compete with this car. Though I’d rather have the NSX over a Turbo, I’d choose GT3 over it too.
3,900lbs...yikes. That interior is worse than the updated Civic.
Used one is a bargain now.
3.15 Sec 0-60 on sticky tyres seems to be questionable on a $175K car. Beautiful car but Honda/Acura are kidding themselves
Yup, looks like a super wide, slightly older Honda Civic of Accord from the rear. That and it’s a heavy pig compared to everything else in that segment. There are so many reasons why this car doesn’t sell compared to an R8, Huracan, MacLaren, etc. I’d even go as far as to say it was a failure...just like the Lexus LFA.
Come the Best? I think not so for what they charge for. You know the Outside looks killer, and the interior Looks Honda sedan. Also the boosted V6? I'd change the exhaust system. It's a joke with storage too. You can get a Chevy C8 Z51 and a Camaro SS manual too for the price with options and change left over for dinner and movie.. That will be my pair.. 👎😷😎😒
