I rode this when I was 74 yrs young. It was awesome
Aww u rock luv
Looks Pretty kool!
Yea i thought it was pretty tame looking, i can see how the seniors wud dig it.
@Jacqueline Bell I'm an 80's Child so it won't be long. LOL
I may grow old, but i refuse to grow up 😜
Sure
Sick beat going on while going up the hill
Lol

I really admire the designers of this ride. You still get beautiful views on the way up, as they didn't clear cut twenty feet on either side, and no voices on speakers telling you when to use the handle bars. Plus being lifted up in one continuous stretch vs tons of stops and starts. I can't wait to visit!
Roller coaster tycoon irl
i bet this looks amazing in the fall
It really does look gorgeous when the leaves are changing. Interesting experience when there is snow on the ground, too.
nature is amazing
Inferno Nine ...or with snow on the ground.
Inferno Nine it does it really does
Inferno Nine autumn*
1st part was really misleading with how Slow everything was and then the Fun began. WOW! Thanks for sharing!
it's super fun, especially at night
Yeah they make you go slow at first to make a gap between the riders
Shit the landscape is so beautiful id be cool with going slow lol
I love the shrieks in the background as you're going to the hill
I rode this at night once! It was incredible and especially thrilling when you don’t know where you’re going ahah
The alpine costar is a lot more fun at night and at Christmas time when that have the lights on I have done it before and it’s a lot of fun
When was this ride opened?
Yeessss I went around that time 😍
Oh and at Halloween 🎃
I went 3-4 days ago and there were rainbow lights it looked so cool
That was incredible! That’s the kind of rollercoaster I like, plus it lasts a long time too! I hate rides that are over in less than 30 seconds (especially after waiting in line for over an hour). This one was great!😃
Trish Lamour wait so do you control it or do you just sit in the chair and await your death?
Those types of coasters have breaks you can use if you're going too fast for your liking. Idk about this one, but the one in Helen GA does, which is also much much shorter than this one.
Marie F you are correct. You can control how fast you go by pulling on the brakes😁
going up took 5 minutes, but it's only a 1 minute 45 second ride down.
@@MotoAtheist So the Algebra works out like....
rode this in winter, snowing and everything. best ride expirence ever.
My kind of ride. No steep drops. Love it👍🏽
It's basically cross-country skiing but with roller coasters instead.
Boy oh boy - does that wilderness ever look stunning! So much lush greenery...it's just gorgeous!
Thats the beauty of the smokies!!
Going up..going down, scenery goes fast lol
this is a really good coaster if you aren't into super thrilling rides, and has a beautiful view in the fall
Nothing more beautiful than a smoky mountain been there in the fall
Agreed - thanks for watching!
Nate spent half the video explaining to me what an alpine coaster was and how it worked, looks like a lot of fun!
Mouse Eared World Ha! I've done that explaining myself in the past. This one was a lot of fun, and great scenery! Highly recommended.
As someone that has ridden this before, it is as fun as it looks
So super fun?
@I am an idiot exactly
@@rabolli1030 can you ride it as many times as you want?
@@camoeco3680 you have to buy a ticket for each ride
I like how the coaster seem like a smooth ride. The view of nature was great👍🏽
This is the best of all the alpine coasters in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We've ridden this every time we visted Pigeon Forge over the past 7 years. Its awesome at night time.
This looks too fun! 😁😁😁
I love the smooth ride up and down through the beautiful wilderness! 😁
Before the screaming starts, there’s a ASMR thing going on.
Pretty sure that's the one my band is going to next year! Can't wait!!!!!!!!!!
With my family every year we go but only at night with all the lights it looks so cool
Oh yeah - it looks very cool at night! Need to do that again.
I rode this when visiting Tennessee a few years back, it was super fun.
When I was a little child my cousins went on this , we went to the Smokey mountains as a family. It was my family, my Aunt and Uncle and my cousins as well as my Grandparents.
Love fun memories like this. Thanks for watching!
@@mrcoaster1 your welcome!
Great video! This is exactly what I was searching for to see how it really is! Appreciate it!
JUST INCREDIBILE!!!! Let's do this again!!!!
I would love to ride that, if it is still there. Looks like a smooth ride and lots of fun in the mountains!!!
This looks both fun and relaxing at the same time - the beautiful bird sounds really enhance the sense of serenity.
Its pretty and relaxing until you reach the last lift hill lol. Relaxing becomes adrenaline rush, 30 mph tight curves. down 3000 ft. Very fun. I'm 56, a little sore for a few days, but would do it again
I was leaning over in my chair so much around the corners I nearly fell off. That was brilliant.
Does it have seat belts 😂
@@urfavoritegay4640 😂🤣😅
Wow... !!! My best friend, Great... We liked and enjoyed to the end. Thanks Have a happy day! Keep it up! +thumb up3!
Thank you! Cheers!
This looks like so much fun!!😇I love eastern Tennessee so much!! So beautiful..🥰
It was a lot of fun, great scenery. Completely agree about East Tennessee!
Wow. Really fast and bouncy!!
I remember going on this when I first went to Tennessee but that was when I was very scared of roller coasters now I go on all of the roller coasters I've been on every rollercoaster at cedar point. Im a cedar point nerd haha.
😂😂😂😂 it’s funny becuase that’s me to
The steel vengeance is so fun!
If you ever get a chance you need to ride the Alpine Coaster in Banner Elk, North Carolina. A beautiful coaster and beautiful views. Both are fun to ride for sure.
I would love to go on this even to look at all the nature around, then go fast all the way down, I just need to go to Tennessee, never been there before! 😁💖
Jeanette Marie the best time to go is end of Oct, beginning of Nov. you’ll see the leaves changing!!
@@jonespink I'm not sure there is a bad time to go. It's gorgeous there all year round. The height of the summer isn't exactly great if you want to avoid people, but the scenery if fabulous whenever.
I’m in tennessee
@@jonespink I love the Fall season, plus my birthday is in early November! 😁 I bet it's beautiful during the Fall, Summers are usually too hot and crowded anywhere you go. I like the off season, less lines...I've endured many years going to Disneyland, I use to live nearby and we went on three to four rides in a day during the Summer, It was still a fun time..I would love to go somewhere new I haven't been before 😁💖
@@oreo3740 Cool! 😁 How hot does it get there in the Summers and is it humid also?
All I have to say Is you guys have to go ride these ride's amazing 😍🤩
Agreed. Thanks for watching!
Woo hoo! So you are in your own cart, that's interesting! That was pretty awesome! But I didn't hear you screaming... did you edit that out?? 😉
Yep - your own cart of fun barreling down the mountain! Such a fun ride. Push the handles forward and stay away from the brakes! I don't scream much at all on thrill rides, outside of an occasional woo-hoo! My daughter mocks me for being in such a zen state when I'm riding coasters and thrill rides, but it really is my happy place. I did have a big grin on my face though!
I feel like i would probably be cackling the whole way down
Screaming is for pussies.
@@rowynnecrowley1689tf is Ur problem
So you can make it go as fast or slow as you want? My son hates fast rides
Last time I was in Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge/Sevierville was 22 years ago. Didn't have any of this back then. Didn't have any kids either. Have 3 now. 21, 19, and 17. Had Hill Billy golf though...This looks to be a lot of fun!
We had a blast. There was snow on the ground which was beautiful.
Shelli Hayden I’m here right now I live in Florida so I’m hopeful when I get to Gatlinburg tomorrow there’s snow
Shelli Hayden I bet that was really pretty!
I'd be surprised if Harry from "Harry and the Hendersons" would be standing by the tracks waving as you went by!
Cool video!
Ms Saxobeat oh wow. I almost forgot about that movie. that was so funny!
this looks really fun! I don't like roller coasters normally because they all have a big drop at the beginning and I hate the way it makes my stomach feel, but this doesn't look like it has a big drop.
No drops. Its intense at full speed, but awesome. Im not a coaster person either. You can control your speed, but full 30mph is best
So much fun especially at night. Went three times
Would love to go at night next time!
That was beautiful and thrilling! I would keep having the illusion that my head was going to lopped off in some of these underpasses, though!
Don't lie. You ducked while watching this.
I would go on this so many times. It looks so much fun I would go on by myself.
It is really fun! Worth multiple rides, especially if you want to try day and night.
5:57 you're welcome
We rode the Smokey Mntn one twice.I wish we had ridden it at night with all the lights!!!We rode it a few years ago then 3 years ago.
At night is really beautiful, and a little scary at moments, hehe. So much fun!
I rode this August 2017. Fun! First time ever for a mountain coaster.
It is definitely a fun one. One of the longer ones in the US, I believe.
My kind of ride! On my bucket list!
It's a fun ride!
Looks so fun and the scenery is beautiful. Would love to ride in the fall.
Great scenery, and a fun ride!
If it has individual braking control im all in. I rode one in vermont during summer about 30 years ago and it was great. It was built and operated differently though. It was at a ski area in winter and you rode in a cable car to the top which was fun in itself. The carts were returned to the top on the cable car exterior ski racks. Attendants would help you exit the cab and set you up at the top explaining the brakes, etc. while holding you on a delay so you wouldnt crash into the cart in front of you. There were no rails. It was a sort of trough similar to a water slide. Im 71 now and id do it again with great joy and anticipation.
It's been almost half a year since I've been on this. Time flies
This is the BEST ride ever ! I laugh all the way down
It's a lot of fun, for sure!
Looked pretty awesome picking up speed and traveling down the track and hearing scream coming out from the woods , wish I would have known about it when I out that way , well that's # 12 on the bucket list 🤞🤞👍
😈🖤☠🍻👋✌✌✌
That was a cool video , have to get there and give it a go !
Looks like great fun ! , reminds me I was thinking when I was a kid sliding down slopes In snow on a piece of cardboard or garbage can lid LMAO !!!

Thank you !
This was my favorite one that we rode all the lifts up front then all down hill after
Great ride, no brakes is a major adrenaline rush lol. Im 56, was a little sore a couple days after, but would do it again
Looks like so much fun. Thanks for the ride
I actually went on this coaster the other day! It is really fun!
Awesome! We love it!
@@mrcoaster1 Omg I didn’t think you were gonna reply lol!
@@gia_stanley1 I'm always behind and catching up! Glad you got to ride this one.
@@mrcoaster1 Ya I was scared at first because how steep it was! But after I got on it I was not scared at all! We actually went on it two times!!
Wow, that looked awesome, didn't know such a thing existed, Elijah would ride this all day! So happy Jen and Annette made it! :)) Thanks for sharing!
There are quite a few of them out there, even a few up in our region. They're a lot of fun. I bet Elijah would really love this ride. Very fun and great scenery! Thanks for watching!
It just open 2019
This is the best one out of al of them.
this is so fun! i just went on it today and i definitely recommend it! it is extremely fun and i love how you have full control on the ride! great video btw!
Thanks for watching, and the positive comments! It really is such a fun ride! We had a great time, and went back to ride it at night. Loved it!
Why do you mean it’s so slow...
can you tell me how bad the uphill part is?! reply ASAP as i will be going on in 1-2 days
Yea, it doesn't look slow to me at all,, once you get past the climbs.
@@skudv4375 yeah it's not slow, bet my bottom dollar you'll be riding those brakes. Video does no justice when it comes to the speed of it.
This coaster is really fun especially at night
green to the gills theres nothing like this in tasmania....... good upload thanks
I’ve been on the Runaway Mountain Coaster in Branson, MO and it was soooooo much fun!
"We're going on the ride" LOL
Bet you didn't use the brake at all! Yours is the best ride I've seen. I haven't seen too many others but you did a great job filming too. That was fun. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks! Tried to get a good look at it, and yes....brake-free is the only way to ride!
Screams @ 5:13 & beyond- Jason Voorhees in the woods killing off riders
Or maybe bears.
@@MLMLW Could be Michael from Halloween but he's not much of a woodlands killer, at least not in the 1st 2 original.
You have to wait until George Wilbur takes over as him before you get a woodland scene. ( Unless you count how he disappears into bushes around the original?)
Chris Geoffrey yup
Had the opportunity to ride this. It was awesome and I went for a second trip.
i would loved to do this one day :(
Wonderful ride...
It sure is!
I went on this a few years ago. It's definitely an experience worth having, especially with how it winds its away around the surrounding wilderness.
are you able to slow it down on your own? does it go fast down or around hills? I'm not a roller coaster rider.
@@lizwarner5736 You are able to manually control the speed via two levers, one on your left and one on your right. You can make it go faster or slower depending on your preference.
Kudos. Thank you 😊 💓
Thank YOU!
Been on this, it's AWESOME
Really nice with the birds singing! So quiet... until a girl screams.
I'm absolutely terrified of roller coasters because I can't control them but I'd love to try this out. I know there's a lot of people upset at those that take it easy, but please try and keep in mind that a lot of ppl have anxiety disorder and that this is their first step to overcoming a fear they want to overcome. You can always ride again if the person in front is too slow, please understand where some people are coming from with coasters where you can control the speed. If you don't want to be stuck behind a slow person on a roller coaster, go to a normal coaster that each person isn't in control of. Or ride again. 🤷
If you prefer to go slower, it might be worth checking to see if you can go when there might be fewer riders, and they can allow for a gap? Just a thought to try. Anxiety sucks, and I appreciate the challenges it creates when you want to try something like this. Don't give up, and I hope more people give you patience in any situation you might need it.
Ugh, it’s a total buzzkill when there’s someone in front of you “taking it easy”. Had that happen on a ride going down from the Great Wall in China. It was hot and we were exhausted and looked forward to the breeze going down. Nope, a person in front of me was scared and inched her way all the way down! It sucked for me and everyone else behind her. There were several ways to get down from the mountain, so she had options. Her fear and poor choice to ride down ruined the experience for everyone.
I rode it in 2018 and it was fantastic! The good thing about the long way up is the nature and the sound of the cable lift lol
Looks tame, i prefer the luge style track's with the High burms and no speed limit! Fly right off the track!
That's an amazing ride. Seems like the trip to the top is almost as enjoyable as the ride down. Glad you didn't have to find new ladies down at the saloon. :D
Ok that was fun to watch! :)
Glad you liked it - it is a really fun ride all the way down, and it was a no-brainer to do a re-ride on it after the first one.
Oh no doubt about that. I'd definitely be trying it out if I lived closer. It's a bit of a trek from Oregon but someday I will be visiting the area! :)
Duane Cole oh cool! I may have to take a drive! Thanks for letting me know about it!
Duane Cole This is at the Smoky Mtn Alpine Coaster in Pigeon Forge, TN. Just outside the Smoky Mtns National Park.
Best ride ever 🤯
Looks like crazy fun and I want to try it but why so long before the "Ahhh hell yea part" ? Half of the ride looks to be sightseeing. (Seems that way on this vid) .
It does take a little time to really get cranked up, but the early part is still pretty fun (after the lift).
mrcoaster1 The coaster in Gatlinburg is the same way but I guess because it’s a smaller track it took about 3 1/2 minutes to get to the top before It lets you go
was there a few weeks ago & had to ride it then on the way home had to stop & go again.
I might be weird but my favorite part of these mountain coaster rides is the slow and quiet ride up through nature! For me the downhill part is just what I have to do to get another ride up the mountain!
The two I have been on (Vail and Lake Tahoe) have a pass where you can ride all day as many times as you want - is that an option with Pigeon Forge?
ddellwo I believe so. The price is $18 currently
Pretty cool...the closest thing to this near me in Canada is in Revelstoke BC is half the distance and $100 a pop to ride it.
Wow - $100 would seem a bit pricey. They are fun rides though.
I'm tempted to jump off and take a stroll through the woods! LOL
@Tony Ashford And Tony Ashford is a classless douchebag troll.
Jacquelyn you seen one woods ya seen um all !!
Went on this last year. So fun!
It is a really fun ride!
i wanna make a horror film where the characters are being tortured in this ride
would gladly watch
There was a story on reddit that was pretty much this story, can't remember what it was called.
Do it
Pretty scenery.
We've always wanted to do this!!!
It's a lot of fun. We also rode the Goats On The Roof Alpine Coaster just about a mile away from this one. A good ride, and very peaceful ride to the top.
Aw that's awesome! I had pet goats as a youngster! Needless to say.... I'm a country boy haha
Ohhhhh. Annette and Jen didn't make it. 😔 Well I think a couple of stud muffins like you guys won't be single for long. Seriously...very funny! 😅😅
Thanks! Not everybody made it, but at least we had fun! Ha!
Looks like fun👍
It was a lot of fun. Went back to ride it at night, too.
That was the most fun ride. Rode it at night, then the next day twice.
Night time would be awesome.
Very cool at night!
Dan Bass At night it is like rainbow road from Mario kart
It is super awesome with all the lights.
yes it is very cool at night
Good reason to go back to Pigeon Forge!
5:55 - To jump straight to the ride proper. awesome.
That looks fun mmmmm.
Skipping through the video, thinking "This is a rollercoaster?"
Agreed!
It’s a lot faster and cooler than the video shows. Flying down the mountain taking those turns are more intense than it seems
@@ilyskyj4068 cool. Maybe I need to try it one day! 👍
Aaron Thompson 100%
Nope. It's a really long, winding bridge with no guard rail and I will have no part of it.
now that's my kind of roller coaster!
It's a great one!
I got stuck behind some old lady, she rode the brakes the entire way.
Ouch
Same, and that was the only time I got to ride it. Why would you go on a coaster if you aren't actually going to ride it?
It's right. Especially since all the people start quite close to each other
More than likely if you tell the operator what happened, you'll get a free re-ride.
It’s the worst! You can’t even have fun if the person in front of you is riding the brakes!
My son and I rode this last week. It was awesome!
