    Most recently, Matt Chapman was the credited writer of two episodes of "Teen Titans GO!" that premiered in March of this year.
    And, yes, until I looked it up I had no idea that they were still making new episodes of "Teen Titans GO!".

      Both of those things are shocking to me! I love that (I wish they'd bring back the original Teen Titans though).

    Always happy to see more Homestar Runner retrospectives out in the wild. Nowadays as far as web animation goes it's always Murder Drones this or Digital Circus that, and while those are pretty great series, where's the H*R love? I mean, while not THE very first web animated series, it's still super important, and without it we wouldn't have many of the other web animated shows that are more popular today!
    Also, that closing bit with Strong Bad reminds me of when he decided to give a secret message to all bike thieves in the SBEmail where he was asked what he would do if he attempted to steal someone else's bike. That caught me off guard the first time I watched that one!

      I'm glad to hear it! Those series are great and I understand why they get so much love. It's a new era though and a lot of people don't even know what Homestar is! That's one of the reasons I started this series; I want to share this stuff to help other generations discover it for the first time. I'm glad you stayed until the end! The end of SBEmails were some of my favorite parts and I tried to match that energy as a sort of thank you for people who stuck around until the end.

    [EDIT:] 2 days after posting this comment Homestarrunner has posted a new video. Never sleep on The Brothers Chaps. I'll say it again, alive and well!

      It wasn't the start of the internet but it was still early from a technology standpoint. The internet became a part of every day life in the mid 90s but exploded with the development of broadband around the 2000s and the accessibility of computers. We've come a very long way since then! So on a timeline, I'd still say that's early internet.

      @@SuddenlyAHero Yeah. It's hard to blame the Brothers Chaps for ending weekly updates of the website in favor of TV animation, especially after Mike (and possibly Matt) started having children. And the 2010s was a real golden age of TV animation, too.
      It's a credit to the enduring popularity of Homestar Runner that people still care about it even though they've only made an average of 1-2 cartoons a year over the last decade plus.

    • @HunterShows
      @HunterShows Місяць тому

      @@SuddenlyAHero When you suddenly stop uploading, and don't say a word, you've been abandoned.
      And, "occasional update?" Man. We went from a minimum of a few things per month, to "sales in the shop" and one or two things a year. And it's always "commemorative" things like Decemberween, never anything creative like in the old days.
      It was awful what they did, and how they treated their fans. It hurt.
