One Sunday in the early nineties I was bored and took some LSD that I found in the icebox. I stumbled in on a nieghbor who was just starting the tape. I was absolutely mesmerized.
@@jamesfarrell8346 ;0 similar experience... so glad to find it again finally! :) think i'm gonna 'audacity' a rip of this for the final-credits tune and put it on my work-itunes list... prolly have people asking me 'where'd you find this awesome tune?' ;)
I saw this in a theatre along with Tetsuo in the 90's. No indie movie has been this good ever since. I stopped supporting independent films after watching this because they cannot hold a candle to this masterpiece!
IndieMovie 4 Life I have loved this movie since I found it as a bonus feature on a VHS feature, but never could find anything about the soundtrack or permabuzz?! Everybody, guitar, drums and sax, base is all so tight that I'd want to know what else they did and what became of them ?
Kinda unbelievable to think that a movie about roaming post-apocalyptic drummers with a low budget surf rock soundtrack was sold alongside Tetsuo: The Iron Man.
theres some aesthetic similarities. like when the drummer kid is punched and they use stop motion to do the fly back, a technique used alot in Tetsuo. also some of the industrial architecture is shared by them both as well. someone at Fox Lorber mustve pushed to get this short film released and this mightve been the only avenue to do it, or else no one would be able to see it now or have any knowledge of it. but it goes without saying it vibes alot with the kinda of people who wouldve bought tetsuo
I accidentally found this movie as an intro to Man bites dog, fuck that movie Drumstruck rules! I still love this movie long live all ya!
I remember this on VHS tape doubled with TETSUO the Iron Man

I saw it that way too (in front of Tetsuo)! I've been looking for it for years and figured it was lost to time...
One of the greatest short films in existence.
Been.lookiin.for this for years and I find.it.on.my.birthday so stoked
One of the greatest short films of all time! The soundtrack alone is award-winning!

A personal favorite movie! I caught it on Nightflight, I believe it was. Perfection!
The guy at 2:04 playing the guitar is my awesome dad.

Heavy, my friend heavy.
I didn't see anybody playing the drums at that point only a dog playing a guy..
amazing lighting/cinematography, of the old-school type! (but if you're a scene-continuity person, don't look here! ;0 ;)
wish this AWESOME soundtrack was available in ANY format!
ua-cam.com/video/_Ufvb_zHOEU/v-deo.html found more of Perma-buzz on youtube.
I remember seeing this. It was an added short film to I video I borrowed from either Tetsuo: The Iron Man or clerks.
Tetsuo....it was only on VHS...unfortunately they didn't transfer it to DVD with Tetsuo.
how could this only have 34 likes?
YES! Always been one of my favorite short films!

Wish we could still get it on disc with a full soundtrack CD
@@TVindustries5000 I agree- they even played it in the theater when Tetsuo ran way back in 1992. It's a perfect adjunct IMO.
Love this movie!!
