      @@tuuluamaliefh9743 Gyms were closed by socialism, er, I mean, coronavirus so I didn't really get to do these for long enough to find out for sure. But what I did notice is I was definitely WEAK on this exercise when I started. I was doing linear progression adding more weight each time for same number of sets/reps and was progressing just fine. I definitely think its worth doing. I would also reccomend the reverse hyper as well.

    Hi! Love the video :D
    You give several very useful tips that has already made my hip thrust better, so thank you very much for that!
    I have yet to find a video, where someone has included explaining the bar path to me, because it seems there is a bit of an arc at the beginning of the movement, when we initiate the lift and after that I think it stays pretty vertical as we extend the hip, but I'm unsure if that is the correct bar path. If you can include it in a future video or perhaps comment on it, I'd greatly appreciate it! And thank you for all the great videos on technique etc. :)
    Hope you have a good day!

    yea, subtitles are vastly underrated. Not everyone here is a native speaker and if takes a lot of concentration and effort to understand.
    That's no fun.
    Not to mention hearing impairments.
    So if the audio is no good, just take the time to add subtitles. And if this is too much time and work, make sure the audio is good next time.
    Thanks for the videos, Lucy, I don't mean to offend.

    Please re-record with a voiceover! So hard to hear! Also- the way you’re explaining the foot placement sounds right, but what you’re actually doing is different (you show a quad-dominant movement with the knees more forward as your “correct”, and your “hamstring-dominant” is actually vertical shin - take a look for yourself). No disrespect, you’re right on with your knowledge, but this video could use a re-do.

    • @randomcomment7675
      @randomcomment7675 3 роки тому +1

      You probably don’t wake up your glutes properly. It’s important do do warm ups before (eg with a resistance band).
      Maybe also you don’t squeeze your glutes. The goal is not only to shift your lower torso up but to imagine a rope from between your legs (weird comparison ik) up to the ceiling that pulls from there even further up. So once you’ve reached the top, rotate your hips slightly towards your face basically until you squeeze the glutes.
      Also whatever object you’re leaning your upper back on to do your hip thrusts might most definitely be too high :)

      Hey you more than likely have a slight glute imbalance - Try ankle weight single leg reverse hypers - this is the best way to restore hypertrophy on the weaker side. But there might be an underlying reason why there is this imbalance - differences in hip mobility or ankle mobility or some prior injury that hasn’t had been rehabbed properly. x

    This video has good cues for safer Hip Thrusts, and it is explained well. But I have to say this execution still leaves room for improvement, it‘s really not „perfect“ - I‘m not trying to hate. There is much to say but in short there is still too much happening independently as far as hip rotation is concerned. Optimal hip extension isn‘t initiated (and also not ended) with this type of hip curl. The whole chain is just unstable/broken for a split second everytime you do that(beginning of the ascent and beginning of the descent). Not only would this excessive flexion be inadvisable for heavier weights( because that also will put accumulated stress on the lower back over time) , but also it simply isn‘t how to achieve maximum peak contraction. There is no good reason to willingly deviate from a functionally neutral pelvic position, because thats how the most stabilizers work best . And the more stable, the better you can make sure the weight targets the main mover.🍑

    Why do women spend 30 minutes at the barbell doing this? I saw a woman do 6 to 8 sets. Is it for a bigger butt?

    You should use a Jacked Ass Belt. Much easier to get in and out of position without getting trapped under that bar.
