These look amazing. One small improvement I think would be a 31-33mm external width to match that 24mm internal. Reserve, Roval, Enve have a bigger difference between int and ext width for crosswind stability and aero drag on front wheel. These still appear to be optimised for a 28mm tyre, if they had a 31-33mm external they'd do well with a 30mm or 32mm tyre as well.
Actually, they measure to about 32.1mm in the center of the rim depth as they bulge out in the middle. It measures 30.75mm at the lip where it meets the tires. 28mm GP5k will be flush with the rim lip but the 32.1 center bulge brings it very close to the magical 105.
@@GCPerformance18frankly, they are simply not worth it. I'd take qualitly steel bearings and the not insignificant discout that would come with that any day.

Mine was 1220 grams with rim tape, max Rim width is 31.5mm, they are 30mm at the tire rim interface, 20 spoke, and spoke holes in the rim bed. So the cheaper steel bearings are still crazy light and cheap, mine came with 3 extra spokes.
My evo s5 with cs bearings set arrived a week ago. they are crazy stiff, fast rolling, light and responsive. My set came in just 1198g. Internal 24.5 mm and external 31.5mm at widest point. I have replaced the ratchet immediately. dtswiss star ratchet sl 54t (non exp) fully compatible with these wheelset. you only need remove the purple colour spacers in the hub. The spacers I mentioned are located underneath the springs on both sides. You need to remove them first. Result is amazing. Sounds like heaven, rolls like hell.
@ DT ratchets are slightly thicker than the original one. Because of this, the freehub body does not sit completely in wheel hub if you want to use these spacers. Simply remove the spring spacers and use dt springs and 54t ratchet. No issues so far in 1400 km.

Those wheels are awesome. I was expecting them to be over $2000, so though $1700 isn't cheap, it certainly seems very reasonable for what you're getting, especially with ceramic bearings. GC thanks a lot for this video, you're very kind to share with us. I have a question for you, and i would like to know your opinion :-) i hesitate between the CRW 4045 and this one. What i love with 4045 it's the little difference in deep (40/45) but what i'm little bit scared it's i am close to the wheight limit (100kg) What i like with the FARSPORT it's the weight (in my Bianchi Oltre pro, i was in 50mm deep Reparto Corse wheel and it's was 1680gr!!!) but what i'm stressed it's the capacity to climb with this deep wheel and the crosswind. What do you think ? Sorry for my english 🙂 All love from Switzerland ^^
Grant, Love the wheels. Have you taken for a ride? Pimping alot of wheels. You are making wheelset buying difficult. Do a top 5 please for 2024! Also keep in mind buyers need to understand that like No6 31+mm rim width won't fit alot of bike on the chainstay (rear). Glad I checked with Specialized. These wheels look very promising; however, am I seeing that non driveside hub spokes have no cap... No redundancy leaves me a little concerned.
@@Dobiecx Yes with caps. I was looking at the C5 model and those didn't have a cap. Open on the breaking side. Driveside looked fine. The ones here that Grant reviewed has an Alan key. Grant, did you inquire about the locktite or if you need to tighten every so many miles at the hub?
Bearings should be a serious consideration for wheelset purchase. Magene Ultra, Farsports and Record No.6 uses 15267 bearing for front wheel which a non standard size bearing. You wouldnt be able to replace it with NTN LLb standard sized bearings. Only non contact bearings available for 15267 is Enduro or Ceramicspeed. I wonder why does wheel manufacturer choose 15267 bearing instead.
Are these standard nipples? Looks like a pain in the ass to replace a spoke or trueing the wheel? Just wondering how repairable these nice wheels are. But on the other hand, never a had a broken spoke for ages.
Are superior bearings mostly just psychological, marginal (if any) gains or has anyone actually tested that they are significantly effective at increasing speed in any way?
There's no performance benefit to ceramic bearings. They last longer, that's it. Having said that, one problem that can occur with them is that ceramic bearings are harder than the races, and this can cause the races to wear out prematurely.

@@petersouthernboy6327 yea I have the 50mm 1218g. I had them on my SL8 and now there on my Pinarello F5. I'm buying a second set when they have the black Friday sale
Hi GC performance,
Post your review of the Farsports Wheelset, I have ordered one for myself. Also ordered a Berk saddle for myself. The question is for the sl8 seat post, what clamps would I need for the Berk Lupina saddle? 7x7, 7x9, 7x10? Does the bike come with the 7x9/7x10?
go with the carbon rails clamp
How does Far sports wheelset compared to Winspace hyper wheelset ??
Farsports is way more reliable, cause they are OEMing some famous brands.
I am having issues with my windspace now.
The front hub started to have a side play (maybe issue with a cnc machine QC). After replacing the bearings 3 times still having issues. I email them. They were difficult to acknowledge the warranty (still on the warranty period) after insisting so long they ask me to destroy the wheel and they would ship a new replacement wheel. I said as they say.
They provide me a tracking number of the “replacement” and it’s not working for over 10 days. I ask them if there any issue with it or how long I should expect the wheels as I assume shipping from china it’s normal to take long. Guess what!? Ylthey stopped responding emails.
I would never ever recommend windspace to anyone. Stay away its good wile still working. They have issue or give resistance to customers when warranty issues happens. I got a good information from uk shops feedback saying this from other customers. I woud give my money to other brand.
I hope my experience would help you decide
Ive read it matters more with weight on the bearing?
Could this use 25" tyres or most probably 28" is the min? (think it´s 24" internal w?). Also is it really too complicated to repair a broken carbon spoke considering there is no holes in the rim?, i´m between this and the CRW, would appreciate any advice
Hey, buddy,
Amazing those wheels! I think I'm going to crack. However, I ride with Campa Bora WTO 45, but much heavier. What would you do in my place ? Can you also remind me of the mark of the light cassettes you put on your beautiful wheels ?
Thank you in advance.
Best regards
Alain, from Namur, Belgium
I would go these wheels they are way lighter in this case a half pound lighter then campy wheels which you will feel right away while riding, cassette is called presta cycle
Thx very much@@GCPerformance18
I think that for the cassette, it's very dificult and expensive for Europe :(
Could you please comment on how these behave in crosswinds? Thanks
they will handle how eveyr 50mm wheel deals with cross winds, I dont notice to much because of my weight and I am very comfortable on a bike and dealing with crosswinds
What time is the free hub sound
the beginning
In the end do you prefer these Farsport wheels or the N.6 wheelset 45/50 ??
(Haven t seen your real test of N.6 wheels...did you made just the unboxing ?)
Farsports for right now. There stats are too good
Gc. Which tyre with would you recommend for this wheels!?
gp 5000 all day
30s
No FD or small chain ring also takes some weight off.
Of course I know this
The first thing you should remove is seatpost with the saddle.
2:28 got me all pumped up too !!!! lol
Hahaha I was hyped!!!
"Risked my life for this video". 😂😂
Can you take the decals off or are they under the clearcoat?
you can not remove decals
GC thanks a lot for this video, you're very kind to share with us. I have a question for you, and i would like to know your opinion :-) i hesitate between the CRW 4045 and this one. What i love with 4045 it's the little difference in deep (40/45) but what i'm little bit scared it's i am close to the wheight limit (100kg)
What i like with the FARSPORT it's the weight (in my Bianchi Oltre pro, i was in 50mm deep Reparto Corse wheel and it's was 1680gr!!!) but what i'm stressed it's the capacity to climb with this deep wheel and the crosswind.
What do you think ? Sorry for my english 🙂
All love from Switzerland ^^
farsports have wider internal rim - 28 would work well - while crw will need 25mm tires
Wow, very interested as my CFO (wife) would get pissed if I got Enve's or Roval's. Would these work with the older SRAM eTap 11 speed?
yes they would no problem just order the shimano freehuib for them
Grant, Love the wheels.
Look again, all the spokes are captured.
the rear wheel for no6 is smaller size so as long as it is like an sl7 or above it should be a go for it
@@GCPerformance18 SL6 :(. thanks.
Is there rim brake version ?
no there is not they have other rim brake options
No because they don’t make real bikes. Only heavy gravel bikes for fat dentists
What wheels u have on in that seka
they are the new superteam wheels they are great
@@GCPerformance18 thanks, will try those on my gen3 supersix
Bearings should be a serious consideration for wheelset purchase. Magene Ultra, Farsports and Record No.6 uses 15267 bearing for front wheel which a non standard size bearing. You wouldnt be able to replace it with NTN LLb standard sized bearings. Only non contact bearings available for 15267 is Enduro or Ceramicspeed.
I wonder why does wheel manufacturer choose 15267 bearing instead.
You know why ? because of weight. As dumb as this.
Damn that's a super good deal ~
Hell yes brother!!!
The question are they comfortable after riding them for a while?
hell yea 24mm inner and also you add whatever tire you want it is super comfortable, but depends on rider pressure
@@GCPerformance18 thanks!
I bought the wheelset EVO S5. Can you point to the correct 54ratchet to purchase to replace the current ratchet? Thanks
I'm no expert on wheels, but doesn't the smooth inner channel mean this will be a pain in the a** to change out the spokes?
Yes it is more pain but not impossible. It makes for easier tubeles setup and maintenance. Princeton also makes there wheels like this
Can these wheels be installed on a bike with a 135 mm QR rear axle?
no it is disc brake only
@@GCPerformance18 I have a 2014 Cannondale Synapse which has disk brakes.
What cockpit are you using?
exs aerover
How would these hold up on a gravel bike? Been thinking of going to a deeper wheel on mine.
I wouldnt recomened them
Are these standard nipples? Looks like a pain in the ass to replace a spoke or trueing the wheel? Just wondering how repairable these nice wheels are. But on the other hand, never a had a broken spoke for ages.
Are superior bearings mostly just psychological, marginal (if any) gains or has anyone actually tested that they are significantly effective at increasing speed in any way?
There's no performance benefit to ceramic bearings. They last longer, that's it. Having said that, one problem that can occur with them is that ceramic bearings are harder than the races, and this can cause the races to wear out prematurely.
Do you know if the xdr would work with my Cannondale super six Evo xc
Hey GC! Im Jonas 90kg from sweden, thanks for all god videos! I crash my bike 1 month ago and nog this winter i Will build a new racemachine😉 i vill have the tarmac sl 8 PRO frame and my old ultegra 12s and enve handlebar 35cm. Looking for new Wheels, but you have recommended so many last 6month, my spec need atleast 23mm internal, 30mm external, 50-60mm profile and sub 1500g. What is the best choice for me, the budget is max 1500 US-dollar. Have looked at elite, craft, winspace, no6, farsports and other? Thanks for your input!
Any idea who Farsports make OEM wheels and hubs for?
honestly no clue but everyone always says they make them for a lot of people
Yeah, my riding buddy just got their rim brake wheels for hill climb season - 1080g I think. Crazy good for a clincher.
hell yea
These look amazing
Killer super light wheel set for the money and well worth upgrading to 👍👍 great video as always 👍🚴♂️
thanks so much!!!
Would you recommend getting the Lun Hyper 3 or these Farsport? Thanks!
these wheels to be honest are a really good value for the price and have a lot more options
I am new to the WORLD of inner tubes. What pressure can i go with the ridenow 19g inner tubes On the EVO S5 series ? Whoever can answer me is welcome. Thanks
I would not remocend the 19g tubes I love them for the weight as well but we stocked those in the store, but so many came back with punctures in the bottom of the tube showing there was issues with them
Would you go for the 24/36 grams? What pressure in this wheels? 5 bar ? Or 6,5?
where do I get those titanium brake rotors.
those are carbon and they are carbon ti, any carbon ti dealer can get them but if you have to order they are like 6 months out
If they would have went with 30mm deep and 30mm wide with the EV03 S I would have picked those up. Oh so close
lmao 35s are interesting
7:52 what happened there? When you zoomed into the wheel, it seemed like the disc rotor glitched.. Is this wheelset off the matrix or something?
Black inc with factor bike has ceramicspeed bearings but little but $700 more.
Ahahaha DJ, SPIN THAT SH*T!! 😂😂😂
lmao shit gets me hyped
Have you ever had issues with carbon spokes?
Im using hyper d67 for 2 years done 25 tys km on UK crap roads no issue at all
Yaasss super Nice ❤
Carbon spokes, thaf has to be really uncomfortable on broken roads, wish there was the possibility to order with steel spokes. Also the wheels are so wide i cant imagine how hard ot will be to for a pair of 28mm contis?
not at all wioth these new wider internal rims, they make the tire much larger and able to run lower tire pressure
@@GCPerformance18 what about fitting a 28mm tire onto a 31.5mm wide (externally) wheel? Isn't it like really hard or what width do you get after fitting them?
Elites all day for me
Bro your brake rotor are Carbon Ti ??
Yes sir. When you are UA-camr. You need to LOOK fast lol
@@GCPerformance18 😂💪
these or the winnspace hyper d45?
Great video on stunning wheel set!! Question what is the phone number for your shop? Im in Amarillo TX with a Cannondale Lab 71 size 56.
9544271484 my name is Grant
Possibly great wheels, but saving on weight means savings on material used. The question is when it's too little?
Rider weight limit is 120kg. There are wheels on the market now this light in different depths
@@GCPerformance18 Yes! No need for more! We aren't that heavy, right? It's pretty much a common ground for many (if not all) manufacturers or one of ISO "standards". What worries me is when the standard isn't "met" - I lately bought ICAN Aero 50 mm (rim brake based) based on DT 240 hubs and Sapim CX Ray spokes. Bit heavier than your model. Still, very light wheels. Also rated for 120 kilos. Great wheels. I just hope they won't appear to be "too thin" one day.
@GCPerformance18 No one talks about nipple/spoke replacement with a rim bed that's not drilled? It's pretty tricky from experience. Thx
worth it for no rim tape!
Compatible with thru axle 12 100/142 ?
Take my money!
hahahah
Magnificent wheelset, the rear wheel weight is crazy lightweight.I like the way you say Mitutoyo, excellent calipers.💯✌🏻🚴♂️
With hook or without hook
It’s hooked
Ok but were the rims developed in the wind tunnel by aerodynamicists?
I would assume all wheels have aero tests done
Same thing as CRW wheels right? 1250 gr in 50-55 deep vs 1190 gr in 50-50 deep wheels
they are very close
no rim tape with these
