I’ve been a victim to scam as an everyday person. Only $2,500, but I was 24 years old and living pay check to pay check so that was a big hit. It feels like a violation and I am so sorry this happened to you Arsen. Thank you for sharing your story.

I had a lucrative private sector contract with a large startup that basically went "left" after the company breached the contract. One of the most important things you can do is use the opportunity to work specifically on fixing your mindset. Focus on learning how to allow yourself to make the mistake and move on with no negative thinking. Learn from the mistake, and intently envision what it will look and feel like when you receive 10 times the amount you lost. You're a better version of yourself today because you know something you hadn't learned before the scam. Thank you for helping so many people by sharing.

My stepdad got embezzled by a business partner. It broke him. His health declined and they both died broke.
The best thing that came out of this is his idea to open a business with a subscription service to monitor incoming email offers.
I've stopped responding to unsolicited job recruiters because they're always a fraud (with foreign accents...)

there are already good vendors that do this type and yes, it does cost a little.
I wouldn't say all unsolicited job recruiters are bad, you just have to do your research. My current position was from a headhunter contacting me and I wasn't looking at the time, so definitely unsolicited.

I get these all the time. Some are from the university of texas. One of them was from a procurement manager from a well-known company. I asked him, why aren't you procuring these products themselves? Never heard back after that.

Maybe this is an opportunity for him to benefit financially by teaching people how to avoid government Contracting scam from his experience. Create a pdf of the don't and sell it for $1.00 I agree with he said, I would pay for a service or information that will protect me from scam.

I too was scammed out of money not as much but 25k from a general contractor to do a pool.. no work was done but I learned so much to be more vigilant for future contractors..,🙏🏽

Summary, avoid bidding on solicitations from direct email, especially if you never done prior business with.
I feel his pain through every word coming out his mouth. It’s a HORRENDOUS experience. Yes it’s our job to do due diligence but nothing pointed to a red flag. I am imploring that someone from the actual agency calls him to do REAL BUSINESS just to aid in this downfall. Even if they do not, God got you covered. Thank you for sharing. We need to start hearing the ugly in the industry.

Shouldn't a retainer from the client be required before placing an order for nearly a quarter of a million $'s? Or even $50k? If so, at 30%, 50%, or 75%? You want to have the cash in hand or in your account, after bank verification and processing to ensure the transaction is legitimate, so that you are financially covered.

All gov contractors should band together and head to Washington and lobby for tighter email assignation meaning any email company in American their system should void or kick out any body who will create an email that will have .gov in it, if they are not the Federal gov also lobby for a special cyber security agency in charge of these types of crimes where issues can be reported immediately and local gov can be involved in the process. Cyber security is a national issue when the government is not moving as fast as this con people.

My ex husband son does this one day he wanted me to use my address for him to send things to my house like laptops phones watches and then I send it out to him I told him no when I moved he kept my address and he used it to scam people and he is also from Africa and his dad did not even know

My husband and I get these phone calls at least twice, a week, that and the Google OPT search. They tell you they will place your company at the top of the Google search...blah, blah,blah...
I registered with Sam and got my ueid in seconds but it’s been about 2 weeks and still no cage code. Does anyone have a piece of advice? It’d be greatly appreciated 😅

Everything after the first shipment is NOT a scam...He never invoiced for the first delivery, thus never received an incremental payment (verifying their legitimacy); but sent more product. That's poor business.
All of it was a scam. It was set up to scam and they were NOT a government agency. Instead, they impersonated a government agency and official.
@@KizzyParks I agree the scheme is a scam, hence the first shipment. Due diligence on invoincing 'could' have limited his losses.
What's his plan for making his support system whole after this loss? People often compromise their loved ones during their entrepreneurial pursuits; it would be nice to hear how he did or plans to address that.
