Bravo! This is why no matter where in the world you live or travel I'll continue to refer to you as "Mexico Laura". I think Mexico has captured a big piece of your ❤. It really shows in your videos. Muchas gracias y vaya con Dios!
Haha I love it! It's a title I will happily hold! There will definitely be more travels to Mexico this year. As you say, it has a big piece of my heart.
Love the video. I have visited a few of the regions you covered, and your summary of them was spot on. Merida being my absolute favorite of this list. Thank you!
Awesome video, Laura! You touched on some of my favorite places. I go every year. Guanajuato is my ❤️city and I took a week of Spanish there this year and also went to Queretaro, Bernal, five days in Mexico City, and then ended in Taxco and Cuernavaca. I am already planning my next trip and you gave me more ideas.
Taxco is well worth it and beautiful. We added a day in Cuernavaca, which has a great centro, because there are several direct buses to the airport in CDMX. That made a one day stop worthwhile.
Great Video Laura, hope to be planning my visit through all these cities on a motorbike. It would be nice to get your feel on safety issues in all these amazing towns, maybe your next Video 😁, nice work, Cheers!
I would say Chiapas is somewhere I wouldn't necessarily recommend driving through on your own. There are a lot of disputes between the locals and the government almost constantly which leads to roads being blocked (amongst other things). There are some good Facebook groups you can find that tackle the issues of safety when it comes to driving in Mexico and where people can give more updated information based on what they have seen there recently. I believe one is called On the Road in Mexico. Hope that helps!
Thanks Laura.. Very interesting.. Have travel all through Mexico in 1974 from Montreal to Acapulco and Cancun but was pretty quiet in thoses years.. Nice to see the magical increase of that country. I '🎉✌️😘
I like your videos of Mexico. I suggest you visit some magical towns and natural parks in central Mexico such as Zacatlan de las Manzanass (Puebla), (Chignahuapan), Tlaxco (Tlaxcala)and the La Malinche(Tlaxcala) natural park.
Thank you for this video. We have found out that we love the state of Nayarit and their beaches beginning with Bucerias. We also love the beaches in Baja California Sur from San Jose del cabo to Santa Rosalia all on the Sea of Cortez. Happy New Year!
Is the tap water ok in Baja and Baja Sur, I mean does it smell bad? Like you mentioned Chiapas was very bad, I wonder how does it compare. I don't want to go spend time in a place where the water has a bad smell for example like in Mauritius, almost everywhere I went 5 out of 6 places it smelled like algae, to the point where you can't even rinse your dishes with it, you had to do a final rinse with purchased water and it burned your eyes in the shower... That's just way to inconvenient....
It doesn't smell and is perfectly fine for showering and brushing your teeth. I still wouldn't personally drink it, but it's nothing like Chiapas and it doesn't have any strange smell.

I never get tired of Mexico, all the best in 2024!
Neither do I, it's such a magical country :)
I love the little descriptions of each destination that give you an idea of what kind of person they're best suited for. Great video!
I'm so glad you enjoyed that part of the video! Vacations are so subjective, so I hope it helps people narrow down what would be best for them!

Merida is a pretty special place for sure!

Taxco is high on my list this year - hoping to get back to Mexico a few times in 2024 to explore and I can't wait to go there!

I liked Cuernavaca - the museum inside Cortes's old palace was pretty memorable!

Hi Laura, great list. I’ve traveled extensively in Mexico but have only been to 2 places in this video. I really want to go to Guadalajara.
Guadalajara is amazing, I highly recommend checking out @alex-wittman for more GDL content!

I've seen many UA-camr videos of Mexico. Except for Mexican nationals few get details just right as you do, such as how to pronounce Mérida.
Thank you for your kind words!
