Great idea! There's a movement to grow marine food in deeper water using geodesic spheres. The fish and crustacean farming industry has caused more enviromental pollution and health risks than are necessary. The current experiments are stationary, but it has been proposed that the spheres might be free floating and follow the ocean currents. I'm hoping that you might look into this and evaluate where your technology might fit. I'm thinking about a kind of tender, or perhaps a dedicated unit for each sphere. I'm a fan of you and your husband's. I'm planning to retire in the Philippines, A country with more than 7,000 islands. I think a row cruiser would fit great there!
