- This was the opening for Lovebites' first ever show in the USA. There were technical difficulties, but the ladies were pros!! So happy I was there for their first show in the states. This was from ProgPower USA in Atlanta, GA, Sep 6, 2024)
So amazing to finally see them welcomed by the US, All glory to LOVEBITES and all my brothers and sisters in The Wolf Pack everywhere!
they were TREMENDOUS!!!!!!!!!!!! unreal experience.
This opening combination always gives me goosebumps. Looks like a really good crowd at ProgPower !
At the end... Midori's mic took a nose dive! 😳 🎤

I was set on going when they announced this year I live in NC so going to Atlanta no problem but I found out I have cancer back in April so I wasn't able to go hopefully after I'm done with chemo in October they announce a US tour for next year.

@@ericifune5543 I was seated, and when I recorded what you see, the phone was held around my chin so I didn't obstruct anyone. Had a seat with an aisle in front of me. I agree, those who hold them up and block others vision is rude.
Nice but why not credit which festival it was at? It was at Progpower USA for anyone wondering, which has the best power and progressive metal bands from all over the world in Atlanta Georgia during the first week of September.

Oh my lord. They looked so tired. Must be the airplane travel. 1st time I see Asami not trying to make that classic ending sustained note for the Hammer of Wrath 😢
I can also see who's a lovebites fan and who's not just by seeing who clapped for fami's part lol
Asami either knew her voice wasn't warmed up enough to hit the sustained note or she was not able to her herself properly in her in-ears is what I'm guessing.

I completely disagree. They were high energy during the entire 90 minutes and by the end, the entire crowd was cheering for everything. Asami had the crowd in the palm of her hand. Were you even there??
She was a little under the weather actually. She actualy released a public statement that was published on Prog Power's timeline on Facebook applogizing for not being able to do the meet and greet because of it.
@@jeffrielly She was not feeling well. She didn't make the before concert signing as she wanted to rest her voice. I was sad because I brought down the back plate of my Dean USA Miyako Signature V to have signed. I got all but Asami's signature. I guess I'll have to wait until the next time they are in the states to get her signature.

Was this assigned seating or something? Where's the damn pit?! Where are the crowd surfers? Where's the wall of death? Some kind of movement from the crowd, actually any movement would have been nice. The West Coast is going to have to redeem us.
ProgPower is not a bunch of wild kids. It's mostly older prog snobs. But they seemed to really enjoy Lovebites in their own way. Big cheers in-between songs.
@TheCyberMantis I'm 55 and a prog fan, too. But when I went to see Babymetal, Hanabie, and Nemophila, I at least jumped around enough to get really sweaty. They did cheer, though. So credit where credit is due. But come on, unless you've fallen and you can't get up or you're using a walker, you should be able to move at least a little. I hope the band wasn't disappointed because I REALLY want them to come back to the U.S. End of rant. 😤
Cell phone audio does not do them justice. Wish they could have come closer to where I live.😊❤

Lovebites got more out of the crowd than most acts in the two days I was there.
Maybe watch more than just the one video, then. Or don't, your choice.

It picked up a lot once they got going. I'd say they had more audience response then any of the other bands I saw that day.
