LOVEBITES; In my humble opinion it seems that it was a very uncomfortable, very small place where our beautiful Lovebites could not demonstrate all their power. They deserved a more comfortable place for themselves and the guests. Yes, they are not a band from any bar, they are meant to play on stages a lot. but according to them if not more because they are all professionals and educated and above all they respect their Fans bravo for LOVEBITES🎤🎸🎸🥁🎸🤘👍
Just getting back outside of Japan for the first time in a while, this gives them a start and it'll only get better! Plus think of how great it had to have been for everyone there to watch, front row for everyone! The venues will get bigger and better.
I am sure this place paid a F-Ton of money to have them play there. Congrates that you were able to get in. They sold out quick everywhere here in the USA. I will not get to see them and I am very disappointed.
Despite that small stage, They owned that club for the night, and they put on a show that will never be forgotten. Every time I see them, I gain more and more respect for what they can and always do. Lovebites forever!!
I agree. I had high expectations going in, and they blew me away. The venue was far from the best, but the ladies shone in it like the diamonds they are. Counting down to The Garage on 1st July. It will be awesome

As I reaptedly say: Like Iron Maiden in the 1980s. Poland tour, playing at a wedding reception. Then they became living _legends_ . _Never ever_ under-estimate any place to show what you are capable of.
The new looks are stunning. Of course they have never not been stunningly gorgeous on stage. They deserved a much better venue than this. Their agency has failed them.
Their venues in the states, at least California, are tiny also. Management really screwed the pooch. I suppose the publicity will catapult more interest in Lovebites here though.
I totally agree with you guys view. The only matter they need is deserved “more public exposure”. Tons of music lovers on the Earth will be stunned and get delighted. I am basically a classic music listener, but am totally in their universe! For the exposure and the appropriate sound space, this venue was questionable. And the songs like Edge of the world or Frozen Serenade will be difficult to perform and appreciated. But as a supporter, I hope all the rest of the gigs go great like this! Go girls!

Absolutely ! A lot of people seem to have forgotten that the band has not toured overseas for nearly 4 years because of the pandemic, Miho left and they went into hiatus and they have a new & young bassist, and 2 of the members got pregnant and have kids now. They lost their momentum from 2020 and have to pretty much start from scratch again. So from the business perspective, they're testing the overseas market to gauge the response, etc... Nothing wrong with what the band is doing currently. In fact, they look absolutely professional and it's obvious they truly enjoyed the shows so far, as much as the fans.
It is a pity to watch them in such a narrow spot .Lobebites should play at Royal Albert Hall .They are probably one of the best metal bands at the present time .
I agree. I get why they didn't book the really big venues as they are still not that well known in Europe. I think even in Japan, they play at middle sized venues. But they definitely should have booked bigger venues than the ones they are playing at. Here in Germany the venue is a little bit bigger (650 people) but it's in a very touristy but more rural area deep in the south which probably is the reason why this concert is not sold out. The nearest big cities are at least a 1.5 - 2 hour drive away. I'm pretty sure it would be sold out if they played at a more central and urban location. I'm actually wondering if they even make much money of these tiny concerts after flying over their equipment from Japan and paying all the other expenses that come with a concert. Especially as the tickets are quite cheap.
Those who were able to go to the venue were lucky to be able to watch their live performance so close that they could reach them if they extended their hands, which is precisely because the venue was so small. The girls were also playing hard.
I was there and although I enjoyed seeing them live for the very first time, I felt uncomfortable that such incredibly talented, sophisticated and beautiful ladies should have to appear at a place like this. They need a new management company. They should have been at Download this year, or even Glastonbury, where they can really shine and the whole World can appreciate them.
Remember this is the first date on a tour that includes a couple of festivals in Spain and a spot on the main stage at Hellfest in France, so they will get exposure to a wider audience. But, given that this gig sold out the day tickets went on sale, and that they saw fit to book a second London date at a bigger venue, shows that someone screwed up when choosing New Cross Inn as a venue. I'm just happy that I get to see them twice, and up close.
This band should be dominating the metal scene right now, I'm from America and most don't know them and a few are starting to know them thanks to UA-cam but I love these ladies they are amazing 🤟

Certain sounds dominate,while some are muffled, but since the drums are in clarity, it confirms my assertion that to tune a metronome , run it against Haruna's beat: unwavering.🤣🤣As for the overall band, hahaha, Lovebites being what they are, take them to north pole or south pole, their immaculate execution of their compositions in any venue is near perfect replication. Jedi masters of music theory and time signature dynamics. As for the closed and small venue, the humility of Lovebites will take them where they wanna be. Great musicians have a down to earth, humble demeanor. True to reality, they know that the music business is tough as hell.
As much as we the fans of #lovebites love these ladies, they in turn love the fans, I agree that this stage looks too small, but now they have started the tour this kind of close and intimate thing will be rare. I'm going down to London in July to experience them, a bigger venue of 600 but still small, but it's a once in a lifetime chance to see them for me so I'll be grateful. Lovebites serve for the best interest of Metal excellence in _any_ place, obviously. They would probably even perform in a _stable_ , if that served their audience. _That_ is what I call down-to-earth and modest. They don't need large-type stadiums to encounter us, only audiences in need of Metal excellence. My respect towards these shining *ladies* is even deeper now, than it already was before the beginning of this tour. Hats off!
I'm loving all the different footage from this gig!! Absolutely agree on the stage size. Also, I don't see any monitors anywhere so I wonder if that had something to do with it too. Miyako usually just stands there like Venus de Milo with arms, but Asami and Midori were like a caged tiger and songbird considering how they usually stalk and flit around the stage. If Fami started bouncing around she might have gone through the roof or the floor. Equal chance from the look of it. 😂 Poor Lady Haruna looked as if her throne was going to fall off the back of the stage. That being said, everyone looks like they enjoyed themselves and I"m jealous as hell. 🤘😎🤘🇺🇸
I'm seeing them 3 times in the US. All of their announced dates sans the festival, and I'm from the East Coast. If they announce for NYC or Boston I might go there as well. It'll be the same tour, and the same set list, but I feel so lucky to even have a chance to see them and support them. I'm surprised the venues are so small. They should have sold out in minutes, and they should be booking venues 5x as big or bigger. If they had taken that risk and left them open I think they would have sold out by the time the night of the show came, but fans are lucky to see them in that small a venue. I think Band Maid had really small venues when they first came here too (this small?). I hope the girls are not disheartened by that and have great luck with this tour and a much larger one in the future. They're far too talented for venues of this size.

For everyone saying the place was too small, they are playing a 600 capacity venue, The Garage, in a couple of weeks and the tickets are not selling. Just a suggestion, if you really want to support the band then buy a ticket, even if maybe you can't go to the show, after all everyone keeps saying how cheap the tickets are.
I guess when a band adds an additional show to their tour schedule at the last minute, such as The Garage---due to demand---this precludes the public from buying tickets. I've heard of this phenomenon but have never witnessed it until now. Interesting.

I actually booked my holiday around the New Cross gig and I don't know if I would have travelled to London again anyway. Their management needs to make sure they get better places to play. This is ridiculous. Not to mention this is a huge security risk. Especially for a female group of their caliber. Some fans literally become insane with the female bands. Their management fucked this tour up beyond belief.
Lovebites are the *Special Forces Unit* of *Happy* Metal. They defeat mediocrity and quality darkness in whatever place they get into. That is not for everyone.
Heavy metal is masculine music, which is why our beloved band sees themselves as warriors/wild wolves against that paradigm. Study the audiences from their Tokyo shows---not very many women, if any. The ladies are used to it. They embrace it. They play the music they like, and they probably long ago stopped wondering about audience demographics. "We're not here to be cute..." Yep.
Plus, it might be a nice change of pace for them to sort of get back to their roots---like the 2016-17 period during which a lot of their shows were probably in places like these first two. It's also useful to work out the bugs in stage setups and in the overall musicality of their playing live----which is a tad different than being in the studio working on demos.
There were a few ladies in the audience, but it was overwhelmingly guys. This has been true for most metal gigs I've been to going right back to the 70's. I would love to see more ladies going to rock and metal concerts, but it is what it is
How can you go from the first females metal band got invited to perform at the WACKEN OPEN AIR stage to now a local bar? They deserve better. Fire whoever managing them.
I really wonder if such a small space for these amazing ladies was determined by their production or by some European promoter. I find it very wrong and disrespectful to Lovebites. It's amazing for the fans to be able to see and hear them so close, but I don't like it at all.
Whats with the clothes ? Asami's hair style ? Hope this look is not a permanent thing. maybe for pub gigs , as this is , low rent show and production. Very so so . Hope it sounded better there than this, NEVER thought I would be criticizing a show by them. Foldback must be poor as Asami not sounding great . So sad. BUT , so happy for the audience who got to see the girls perform so close up, and they clearly were enjoying it , and maybe you had to be there to hear the real sound.

明らかに演奏し難そうだし、彼女達もヨーロッパツアーの最初のステージがこんな場所（失礼！）なのかと愕然としたに違いありません。
確かにニッチな音楽ジャンルだし、彼女達も敢えてそこに挑戦している覚悟はあると思うけれども、流石にこの様な場所は彼女達のこれまでのキャリアと実力に対して非常に失礼だと感じました。
ファンにとっては彼女達を身近に感じられた貴重な機会になったかもしれませんが、初めての本格的な海外ツアーに参加するfamiなどは、身の危険を感じて笑顔が引きつっているようにも見えます。
それでも今回、彼女達はプロフェッショナルとして素晴らしい演奏をしました。今後のステージがより良いものになることを祈ります。

Do females attend Lovebites concerts? Have yet to see any female fans in the crowd.
Heavy metal is masculine music, which is why our beloved band sees themselves as warriors/wild wolves against that paradigm. Study the audiences from their Tokyo shows---not very many women, if any. The ladies are used to it. They embrace it. They play the music they like, and they probably long ago stopped wondering about audience demographics. "We're not here to be cute..." Yep.
Plus, it might be a nice change of pace for them to sort of get back to their roots---like the 2016-17 period during which a lot of their shows were probably in places like these first two. It's also useful to work out the bugs in stage setups and in the overall musicality of their playing live----which is a tad different than being in the studio working on demos.
Thanks so much for the time and effort you spent posting that video. We all need it. Desperately :)

There were a few ladies in the audience, but it was overwhelmingly guys. This has been true for most metal gigs I've been to going right back to the 70's. I would love to see more ladies going to rock and metal concerts, but it is what it is
How can you go from the first females metal band got invited to perform at the WACKEN OPEN AIR stage to now a local bar? They deserve better. Fire whoever managing them.

I really wonder if such a small space for these amazing ladies was determined by their production or by some European promoter. I find it very wrong and disrespectful to Lovebites. It's amazing for the fans to be able to see and hear them so close, but I don't like it at all.
Whats with the clothes ? Asami's hair style ? Hope this look is not a permanent thing. maybe for pub gigs , as this is , low rent show and production. Very so so . Hope it sounded better there than this, NEVER thought I would be criticizing a show by them. Foldback must be poor as Asami not sounding great . So sad. BUT , so happy for the audience who got to see the girls perform so close up, and they clearly were enjoying it , and maybe you had to be there to hear the real sound.
Asami sounded amazing all night. Bass was a bit low but otherwise it was a great gig.
I was there and they sounded as great as they always do. Asami was on top form. Try to remember that the clip you just watched was from a phone recording
Get real it is a phone recording do you expect it to be as good as the actual live audio, The sound was very good at the gig. Oh and the ladies lookes amazing, Asami looked stunning
