Many thanks for posting this !!! Never very big fan of Morse, I did really enjoy Simon McBride so much ... he sounds more Blackmorish and his solo in 'When A Blind Man Cry' was simply out of this World !!! He lifted 'Blind Man' to completely different level...What a pleasure !
Thanks for uploading this. My son and I had front row tickets for the concert. Sadly, when we got there we found they were front row on the side and our view of the stage was entirely blocked by a speaker stack. Couldn't see Ian P (or his drum kit) and only got the occasional glimpse of Don and Roger. Having said that, I thought they were magnificent. Gillan's "When a blind man cries" was a real highlight; what a voice, still!
I've watched a few concerts online from this tour and this is up there with the best on sound and picture quality. The band are working really well together, but my only thought is I'd noticed it in the Steve Morse years and now here as well the spontaneity of Purple concerts from years past has gone it's all too well rehearsed and every show is 99% the same !! Although I will say Simon McBride is a breath of fresh air within the band 👍
Ian Gillan still owns very good voice for his age !!! 'Into the FIRE !!!!!!' But his hands... Parkinson's ? I was there ...a bit too much of solo keyboards for me and probably too many new songs. Three new ones would be just fine... not six. But what's the most important - EVERYTHING was played LIVE and not from the laptops. :)
Keyboard solos are there for the guys to rest. Not taking anything away from Don Airey. His the best! But 3-4 keyboard solos gets a bit boring. At least there's no drum solo.Thank god.
I'm afraid he doesn't still have a good voice for his age. I know he's had a lot of issues with his voice and full marks for effort, but it's a shadow of its former self. Glenn Hughes on the other hand really does still have an amazing voice.
@@laughingboy279 I have seen footage of other gigs on this world tour when Ian's sounded better than at the NEC, but at 79 he's allowed. Yes, Glenn sounds better but Ian has worked ALOT during his career, more so than Glenn who, by his own admission has never really had a heavy touring schedule (not even during his time in Purple), and didn't do much after Purple until the mid 90's (apart form an occasional album or session),. Therefore, unlike Ian there was much less wear and tear on his voice than Ian's.
When Purple play we forget they are completely leaving out 3 of their best albums Burn 🔥 Stormbringer ⚡️ and Come taste the band. 🍷 Like Zeppelin not playing anything from LZ 2 & 3 and Physical Graffiti … and their set is still fantastic. One of my all time favourite Purple albums is Bananas 🍌 🍌 🍌.. no chance of anything getting played from that though😀
Sound by the Uplodader is fantastic- But the show> to much filler with Keyborsds-Don Aiery- but- we want the old Songs and smashing Gitars- we want Richtchie! I saw DP last 1989- in Düsseldorf with Steve Morse- and Ian sang Blodsucker- the hi Vocals are from Tapes! Now Im in 1:17- all Songs never intersted! NO CHILD IN TIME? No- this Purple Concert wasn't mine!
Perhaps these fans once saw deep purple in the 70 's and 80's and rocked out hard to them. Now the band and their fans are much older. Maybe just enjoying the moment
@@andybates9510 I think ... too many ... I was there. Definitely not a tribute band. And new guitar player is really good ( eg.solo in When a blind man cries was simply amazing !).

I love Simon, but Steve is much better at improvisation miss him a lot. But overall, fantastic night. Saw them in Manchester
Steve Morse is awesome, but arthritis got him.
@@djhoneylove5710 Oh Shit !!! Just like me !!! Not much fun at all with it...
@@shard841 It was great night indeed ! :)
@djhoneylove5710 he left to be with his wife as she has cancer, and he does small tours with his other band. Cannot do world tours anymore.

I was there last night fantastic concert not keen on the £8.95 for a pint of guinness lol
HOOOW MUUCH!!!!!???😮😮
Actually, that’s not bad. It’s like $15 at Jones Beach theater in New York when I went to see them in early September.
@@ponytrekker8996 A fool with his money is soon parted.
How much cost the Ticket?
Tickets £60

Briiliant show at Manchester, Purple on Fire. Bloody fantastic. Reef were pretty poor imo.

McBride is very good but more of gary Moore clone than Blackmore .
I think its time to quit
So many lethargic lifeless old audiences these days at concerts its all a bit sad 😢
Perhaps these fans once saw deep purple in the 70 's and 80's and rocked out hard to them. Now the band and their fans are much older. Maybe just enjoying the moment
You need to catch the band while you still can. There’s only one Deep Purple. And I was there.
@@craiglewis8981 exactly this, I was there and everyone had a great time. Only a bit slower than 50 years ago
Its a Deep Purple Tribute
They played 6 tracks from their new CD. That’s not what I would call a tribute band.

Tribute?Learn music history.
A tribute band consisting of the 3 main MK2 boys?
Are you having a laugh?
