      Hey, love the videos, just moved to my first farm few weeks ago, I got 4 runner ducks and 8 goats and 2 jacob 4 horn sheep.
      Something I was thinking was maybe putting little filter fish in the pond.
      I don’t know if catfish are allowed or sucker fish of some kind.
      Often times you can get a stocking truck out to deliver 50 young ones.

      Honestly I feel like Molly is talking to Olive, guiding her. Olive is so different since. I talk a bit about it in the next episode but Olive now divides her time between me and my wife. Before Molly would be by my wife’s side all day and Olive would be by my side all day, now it’s like Olive knows she needs to protect both of us cause Mollys not here.

      To me that’s Molly telling all of she has to look after everybody now and she will guide her to go to the person that needs protection or guidance the most at that time !
      Ppl don’t Realize animals have ability to read and feel energy they may not speak language. They use a different way of communicating when a person is radiating an energy, sad, angry, or fear they sense that energy and will come to that person’s aid not just people but other animals as well..
      Sending love and prayers to you all!

    I started watching when you were making the catio. I love cats. I had no idea what I was in for. I really enjoy all your videos. You are so great at building things. You have learned so fast how to take care of a farm. I love all your animals. I have started from the beginning and have watched about 200 videos so far. A few sad ones but you have learned from them. I still get tears when I see Molly in the old videos. It’s so hard when we lose our beloved pets. I have lost a few cats in my life. I’m so glad you have Olive. I am retired and look forward to your videos. Thanks

      Wow that’s a lot of videos, thanks. A lot has changed since those early videos both on the farm and me. I love what we’re doing here and yes it was kind of just Molly and I in the beginning. Miss her ❤️

    Hello! First of all, I want to send my condolences on your loss of Molly. She was an amazing dog and friend, my husband and I enjoyed watching her and thank you for sharing her with us all! I wanted to suggest a product for your orchard and garden, it’s an organic insecticide. It’s called Kaolin Clay. You mix it with water and spray it on your plants, it coats them and protects your plants from bugs. I learned about this product from The Gardening Chanel with James Prigioni here on UA-cam. Maybe you’ll have a chance to check it out and give it a try. Bless you, your Darling wife, and all your wonderful friends on the farm. We do so love watching you guys! Thank you for everything you do for us.

Your Darling sure does have a green thumb and, as it seems, so do you. Watching all the ducks and geese was fun and most especially the kitties, i have 4 rescues, all inside and so getting to watch what all they are up to, is quite special for me. Little Olive is just a doll, i could tell, that she misses Molly, cause she seemed to want to stay close to you both, alot more.

    Beautiful update to the farm. It was great seeing all the animals and how you are all doing, until my heart broke again watching your poem to Molly. 'Love you Molly' It is now a beautiful tribute to a beautiful dog.

      I cried watching that poem again. But I wrote that poem a few years ago back when I had so few subscribers maybe everyone hasn’t seen it and it just seemed so appropriate now 💜💜💜

      I have a spot to put a few aquatic plants I just need to get to the right store. And yes I’ll most likely add some feeder minnows for the ducks. Not sure about long term fish as they’ll require special ice melters in winter.

    If you have to spray again you might get a smaller pump sprayer. It is much eaiser on your hands than the small bottles. It would also allow you to use other mixtures you could make in large quantities. I hear alot about tea tree oil. And you might try dusting your plants with diatomaceous earth late in the day to avoid pollinators or don't put it om blooming plants.

    Have a blessed day! I’m up in Dawson City, Yukon, working my way back home to Virginia on this epic trek up to Alaska via the west coast, with return southeasterly across the Big Sky provinces reentering the lower 48 in Minnesota. Great adventure that somehow doesn’t approach your day to day “living the dream”!

    Love the life you guys are living, so happy. Love all the animals. Question though, is there any way to get your flock, the chickens, geese, turkeys, into the orchards where the beetles are? They might help. Not a farmer here: just someone making a guess. Have a great day!

    • @HiddenSpringFarm
      @HiddenSpringFarm  6 місяців тому

      Aww thanks. I could probably pick em up and bring em to the orchard. Too much work in any case, but it’s about 100 yards away. If I can raise enough turkey in the future I may keep a few in the orchard area.

I'm so happy for you and your darlin being able to work on a dream come true for the both of you. Olive sure gets her exercise on the farm. I enjoy seeing all of your animals. Goslings sure are growing fast. Thoughts/prayers to all of you.

    Hey Chad, here in Casselman Ontario, we have a ton of rose chaffers, been hand picking them as much as I can. I believe they are the precursor to japanese beetles as I found 1 JB in the soil yesterday while weeding.
    Let's let us know if trounce works, please. I'm at my wits end trying to protect my fruits.

    • @HiddenSpringFarm
      @HiddenSpringFarm  6 місяців тому

      I’ll keep you posted. The chafer beetles definitely try to get away from the spray but what I’m gonna try is to get a small bucket and grab a bunch of beetles and spray just to see if it does in fact kill them. So far it seems to be working though.
