So thankful that you share your life on the farm with us! It is hard but gratifying work. The animals are all looking great and have a good life . The dogs and cats are so happy to be near you all day. Just amazing.
Fozzy is the first cat to the food dish everyday. He especially enjoys the juice in the canned food, he’ll lick the juice then push the other cats outta way to lick their juice too. But he does hunt I have video of him catching them and eating it. 🐱
Google says that roosters will let the hens peck at them because it helps with “maintaining social order” so that’s interesting ! And if there is a bully hen that’s going after others some people say to remove the bully for a few days 🤷♀️ chickens be crazy ! Also the spurs can be removed painlessly, but you’d have to watch a UA-cam vid on that! Good luck farmer man! And thanks for caring for all your animals ❤
What a beautiful start to my day to see all your animals. Their personalities are truly something special to witness and the way you showcase them allows us a little time to feel like part of the crew. I like it❣️
HI CHAD.....Boy, it looks cold your way today. Fall heading into Winter. Haha “Tulugan Na” means go to bed in Tagalog, I thought it’d be funny a few years go to teach the ducks some Filipino so it’s easier to get them back in the hut.
Thanks again for sharing 👍 i really enjoy watching. It's great entertainment. Although i know it's tiresome for you. Please rest well. May God bless you always 🙏♥️😊
Chad this video brought back a memory of my younger years when I used to do photography as a hobby. I once drove all the way from Toronto to Algonquin Park in the fall to take pictures of the scenery. Weather report said no rain , no clouds, so one Saturday morning I drove to the Park . Sunrise started good, then the clouds rolled in drizzle.😭😭😭😭😭😭😭🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬. I never went back. At least you are on the farm, and your filming is digital. Nicely done 👍👍👍. Thank you for sharing. Be safe🇨🇦
Back in the early 90’s I was right into photography I took classes at George Brown college for 2 years. Landscape, wedding and portrait stuff on a 35 mm too. Never used what I learned outside of my own hobby, but it’s kinda coming in handy since starting UA-cam. I have a Nikon 750 as my big ticket dslr but it’s not for video more for still shots and takes incredible photos.
Good morning everyone. Chad where's the snow? LOL now it's autumn again. I love seeing Fozzie follow you around everywhere. I went back and saw an old episode when you first got Fozzie. I shuddered watching you clean the gutters without any gloves. I hope Big Reds feathers heal. Merry Christmas everyone ❤️
My hands are pretty tough but I couldn’t find my dishwashing gloves, they’re still packed away from moving the workshop 😆 The cold was worse than the gunk though.
Hello Chad, I was looking at your wood pile and thought I’d sprinkle the cornmeal baking soda mix generously all over that wood pile, great rodent deterrent. Our your Olive has the same personality as our 6 month old Sheepadoodle! Such *awesome* dogs.
Thank you for another great video! It is so dark out there - no light pollution! Stars must be bright! You have so many little helpers - no wonder you get a lot done!!!! 😻🙂
My grandmother would pick up the rooster, flip him over and take a pair of pliers to the spur… they pop right off… you can also use toenail clippers for dogs if you just want to trim them… tomuse the pliers, just get a good grip and twist a little one way and then back the other direction… if he bleeds, it will only be a tiny bit but you can use cornstarch on the bleeding spur and it will stop pretty quickly… just don’t put him back with the hens if he's still bleeding… Have a Merry Christmas! 😊😊😊😊
Thanks for the tip, that’s what I think I’ll do, just break it off so it can start fresh. It’s interesting though that him Big Red, MJ and Elvis are all the same age but their spurs are nowhere near the size of Big Red’s, probably just cause of the breed. Cheers.
I trim my roosters spurs by just picking them up, & trimming them in segments like a dog’s toenails. I use sharp garden pruning shears. They don’t mind, but if you cut too much it will bleed like a dogs toenails. So I don’t take too much. Just enough.
I know at our pet shop- in the dog section they sell chicken feet as treats…. The bloke told me they like quavers to dogs …. I know it’s natural and a type of recycling but he gave us one to try and she likes it but I didn’t lol
@@cozyhomemakingvibes I just meant, sorry, that they must be able to be clipped some how as they sell em. I didn’t explain (I have autism and don’t get that sometimes lol)

I love your channel and your farm! Gee, I want your life! I could live my dream of being a cat lady! I love the cats (especially Dexter). Thank you for taking such good care of all your animals. I have so many questions, but will start with: is there an actual hidden spring? Keep up the great work both on the videos and on the farm! Merry Christmas to you and your wife! 🎄🎄🥰
Aww thanks, Dexter is pretty cool. And under our property there are 4 aqueducts with the top 5% for water quality in Canada. It’s very delicious water, super fresh with lots of pressure.
I saw the coyote! Molly and Olive are great guard dogs! I noticed you buy a ton of feed! I know it's expensive! Great idea to rent out the farmhouse!! Watch ever week from North Carolina!
Yes historically OES lived with the sheep out on pasture to watch over the flock. They’re not LGD and are a herding breed but have very protective instincts too. I do like to go to the feed store only once in a while and load up the truck and buy a lot.
