- 2023 exhaust. the exhaust has apparently been revamped at some point. very impressive for $599!!! (redline360) also I do not know why this video format is all messed up.. sorry about that..
There’s a good bit of drone, specially from the back with the resonator when I installed mine. Opted to get a Vibrant Resonator to replace it and was happier. I disconnected the sound symposer on mine as well.
Did the vibrant make it quieter all around? I got used to the droan, it's really pretty minimal especially compared to the awe race. I also unplugged my sound thing.. forgot what it's called.. thanks for watching!
It gets rid of maybe 80% of the drone. You still hear the exhaust. The cool thing is that the higher you rev the car, it seems like the engine noise takes over from the front over having a louder exhaust in the back. I would consider replacing the resonator as hearing loss is permanent and it happens over time.
I used the vibrant 17950 resonator. Specs should be online. You should see how much thicker it is compared to the one supplied by Megan. You’ll still have a good bit of clearance on the sides(around the heat shield) with it on.
Are you saying the droan will cause human hearing loss? 😆 🤣 luckily I have 4 cars so the R never gets driven.. if it was my daily.. I would probably swap the muffler. I'm also not a fan of only the center and left tip get soot in them? And they spit black soot drops all over my hatch and bumper.. I'm thinking that's because the tips are set in too far.. they really need another 3/4" of "poke"
@@delpsdayoff3372 loud noise over time will cause hearing noise. If your ears end up having any sort of discomfort, I’d think that that’s not a good thing. I’m no ear doctor fyi but I’d rather not have hearing loss.

Am seriously considering getting this exhaust, mine came with an awe touring the last owner put on and its honestly way loud in the cabin, along with some rattles that happen on occasion.
I honestly want something just slightly louder/better sounding than the oem and this seems pretty close to that.
Were you able to sort out the rattle or is thst an ever persistent issue?
Thanks for watching! I will admit I'm not sure what rattle? Did I mention one? I've actually taken and had a shop remove the clamps and weld it all up as the clamps are shit and come loose.. it was $63 to have the 3 clamp spots welded together. (1 piece like oem) also are you talking about the awe track? The megan is just as loud as the touring, plus a tiny bit more. And more gurgling/pops between shifts. Also the awe touring is more droany on the highway than the megan.
That’s a good idea having the stock exhaust on the wall. I’ve not seen that done before. I just need a wall to put mine one now 🤦🏻♂️

Hey man, i picked up the same exhaust and for the life of me i cant make the tips not touch the bumper. How loose did you have to make the hanger bracket? Do you have any worries about them backing themselves out?
Hmm I don't recall have any issues with the tips contacting the bumper... let me go look
Ok just looked, I think your issue may be that the tips aren't OUT far enough, I have about a finger thickness gap between the top of my tips and the bumper, also my tips stick out 3/4" past the bumper.. I remember having to really stretch everything in order to get that extra 3/4. But the rear brackets that you bolt together, mine are straight and tight.. maybe they can over-layed on the back of the mufflers to give a bit more outward push?

@@delpsdayoff3372 even if you don’t post a video, would you say the drone is unbearable for long drives? Cruising at 80? Especially with a family?
I don't mind it at all on the freeway, I'd say it's less family friendly going light to light in town... but that's going to be any exhaust. But I also don't cruise at 80.. most il cruise at is 69.. unless I'm doing a pull.. but that's not cruising.. good point tho.. maybe at 80 it would droan where as at 65-70 is doesn't.. il have ro try
