Jill Bryson has re-recorded and released this song under the name The Shapists. It's available on Bandcamp. I believe it was originally a demo for SS, but at a point when Rose was turning away from the band permanently so it remained unrecorded in a professional studio. Also, Rose was the more naturally talented vocalist and Jill the main musician and songwriter, so her vocals - albeit in demo form - aren't quite so good. Still, the Shapists' version is quite lovely.
Jill Bryson has re-recorded this lovely song with her new band/project The Shapists. Pretty she wrote this shortly after Rose had gone off with the bad faeries... Listen to it on her blog: jillbryson.x10.mx/blog1/?p=646
I didn't know this one song. Thanks for the revelation! SS = the best (guitar) Pop duo in decades, maybe a canon (but not a formula) that got lost. SS invented dance-inducing psychedelia or the heavenly soul-comforting folkish ballad that helped you throughout heartbreak in the mid 80s. As their Merlin rather than their Svengali, mr KLF did an outstanding job. Awesome.
alecahauf, not to be rude mate but this is a home demo that Jill Bryson did, Rose McDowall had nothing to do with it. You might want to fix the text, at least. Great share though . Thank you =)
The worst thing Jill ever did was giving up on music... She could be so big! ❤
This girls are amazing!
