Made this last night with ground chuck only and even without bacon. The griddle cook, double patty with american cheese , and secret sauce was amazing!! I didn't even follow the secret sauce recipe exactly, but kinda just improvised with what I liked. I will never eat a burger out again!!!! Thanks Chef Brock ! Keep up the awesome work
I love the addition of ground bacon... I think I have a burger in my very near future!
I haven't tried it, but if you do it that way, it doesn't get all crispy. It'll have bacon flavor but it'll lack most of the bacon experience, namely the crispy, textural element and the burst of salt/sugar curing that comes when you bit into bacon.
My mouth is watering.... it's sooooo good!
Having some friends over tomorrow night to try these burgers. I can't wait to see how mine turn out.
Ours turned out pretty perfect. We borrowed a meat grinder so we included the bacon and everything.

if you think so. mozzarella melts just as well if not better. and dont forget that pepper jack hunty! will be trying this recipe out with my own twist
Mozzarella indeed melts better. But it just a matter of personal preferences. Some people prefer more traditional burger, when the cheese melted just right & not stringy when bite it. Some even use Monterey Jack cheese in the burger.
Again, just personal preferences.
