I just started ability a couple weeks ago, i haven’t felt like this since I was a teenager! I just feel normal again, and I’m waking up every morning ready to be up!

I'm taking it but I am also taking rhodiola and ginseng. If all you take abilify for is depression or anxiety then I recommend you get on just rhodiola and ginseng.

@@djsaintmusic7819 Hey, I'm 18 now and was about 16 when I wrote this. To answer your question--from what I remember Prozac essentially worsened my moods and made my disordered eating even worse. Every time I ate, I would be so unbearably nauseous and it never went away unless I threw up. It was even at a point where I would gag when there was nothing on my stomach but I couldn't bear eating. As for the aftermath, I constantly felt hyper emotional, my anxiety was worse. However, this was really no different than how it was before I started taking it. Anyway, 2 years later I still struggle with depressive episodes due to PMDD, however I am a lot better off. I hope you're ok these days, that you keep going, and that your bad moments pass & you come out happier. Sorry for the cliche :)
I’ve been really considering Abilify since ssri’s just don’t seem to agree with me. Did they cause any type of stomach issues?

I'm on monthly abilify injections plus paroxetine ssri as well as seroquel mood stabilizers for bipolar.
What are your side effects?
Hi all so I got told by my physiatrist that I need something different for my depression and anxiety/panic attacks as i've been on around 10 or 11 different 1s in different classes etc since I was 18 im now 44 , so he has said try this med, I asked him if it has sexual side effects he said no in fact it has been documented that it increases your libido, and it's great for depression, (apparently i'm not Bipolar?) and i know I don't have schizophrenia also he said it helps with anxiety, sleep and no weight gain, I've been reading up on this med and watching youtube and it's all conflicting some say their sex drive goes through the roof others say it kills it, the same for depression, anxiety, panic saying it's better than any antidepressant and anxiety meds, and others saying putting on weight is too much but for some it decreases their appetite then the same for sleep, I don't want insomnia or any of the crappy side effects, I read agitation too, but how can you be agitated if it relaxes you, really confused now, would love to hear rom people that are on it or have been on it, hopefully no scare stories, cheers in advance.

Let ur psychiatrist know. They may up it for u! My daughter is 17 and she’s taking 5 mg and it’s working wonders on her.

The only positive experience I’ve heard so far with abilify and it gives me hope cause I’ve been prescribed abilify along with other meds but haven’t started it yet because I’m still getting off of my mood stabilizer and my parents are kinda weary of me being a antipsychotic but I think im gonna try it out/ wish me luck

Does Abilify makes you gain weight? I am going to change my medicine to Abilify ( Aripiprazole ) but i am concern about the weight gain issue..

My psychiatrist put me on Abilify for the purpose that I wouldn’t lose weight like other mood stabilizers? Idk it’s my first day.

I am on the autistic spectrum, which i found out recently. Been depressed for years, more recently suicidal and edgy/angry. Been on SSRI sertraline for two/ three years. gone off that and onto prozac these past few months (a bit better) had to go down to 20 mg as it was helpful at first (originally on 60mg) but now kinda shit ( going off Setraline might be why i felt better, not the prozac)
My psychiatrist did suggest i could take Abilify, as small amounts of it to treat autism, specifically issues around anxiety and anger/agitation, seems to work quite well, according to studies. The dosage is lower then what is typically given to Bi polar / schizophrenic patients.
For me, it sounds like my last hope, but the drug scares me. I might go of meds completely first, then see how i am, and if im bad THEN il go on abilify. Perhaps i don't need to fear the drug's side effects as much, if its a small dosage? i might ask my psychiatrist to give me a really small amount first, like literally 1mg or something, idk.

im on abilify and autistic! at 2.5 mg it works well for me.
Yup. 5mg. It's kind of lame and makes getting out of bed awful, but after the first five or ten minutes, everything is fine. I generally feel much more regulated now. The s3xu4l dysfunction is the worst part. ☆☆☆/☆☆☆☆☆

How long it took for it to help you ?? The first week I started taking abilify I noticed a shot of happiness & awareness but now idk. I’m on 10mg

@@9etherNina wellbutrin is one of the best medicines I have taken so far, but if you're epileptic better not try it, you can also try valdoxan. Stay safe cause this covid situation is really adding to my anxiety.

IV been put on Abilify,IV been on it for around 4 months now,& I'm feeling a hole lot better,but sometimes I get, light headed Ness,& sickly feelings,but my GP tells me that,that's normal it will pass,anybody is that right,???

@@melm.2776 yeah I did gain weight with Abilify but not as much as on olanzipine so I stopped both of them as I wasn't happy about my weight going up well I'm only on 10mg of olanzipine it will be 5mg next month tho trying my hardest to get off it I hate it 👍

How long did it take for ABILIFY to kick In?
I’ve been on it a couple different times since this video - depends on the person and if you’ve been on it before but it typically starts helping a lot around a week or two in for me. Can take multiple weeks for others.

@@calebbowlin3993 after I stopped taking it yes. I didn’t can’t move. Really I looked like a Roboter and I didn’t write anymore at this time cuz it was impossible. Abilify makes the same like people who has Chorea hunting. It Stopps the Information and that’s the reason why u can’t do motorized movements like writing or cleaning the teeth. It was horrible definitely. It really stopped

I used Abilify for about 5 years for Tourette's syndrome and it helped at first, but at a later age I realized that it caused a sexual disorder that I can't have almost any kind of orgasm. I haven't had an orgasm in many years, even though I'm no longer on that terrible drug. Sometimes it was difficult to understand speech and other problems, such as fatigue, pretty serious gambling addiction and I was child (19 now). I'm definitely not the only victim of the drugs. Be careful!
What mg were u on ? 2 5 or 15? Or 30?
How are you now . Is it better . Abilify ruined my life . And for months my doctor refused to tell me how to ween off of it so I was just taking it BecUse i had no choice and I gained so much weight and so much shit happened
I was so sedated and couldn’t function and my muscles are all tight all the time . I cry every day and have panic attacks and it took every part

remedywithin if I try to suppress a tic, then it comes at me with more force when I can’t suppress anymore. I have a lot of things that I use to help me like distractions and relaxation techniques but without medicine none of those really work)-:

I actually take it for bipolar 1 and depression it really does work pretty well im on 5mg.

Try getting off of Ambilify once you realize it has taken your soul....then get ready for excruciating anxiety and brain fog well brain shrinkage and muscle aches....well muscle tearing, fatigue and you will feel 25% better after two years or so. This drug is dangerous...deathly...hell will be redefined when you realize this medicine pretty much has made you dead while alive.
@@katiemcgurk6808 absolutely I gained 30 plus pounds 107 -137 at 5.2 also about one bowel movement every two weeks or so but you will be pleasant and won’t complain pleasantly trapped inside your own body but if your family is looking for you to be happy on the outside and quiet despite your real feelings you can suck it up literally suck up those toxins that will accumulate inside of you and ultimately lead to total body destruction

Nevena Šiljeg hi my son taking 7 mg it’s a good medication not a lot of side effect. not too much weight gain don’t worry but u eat a bit more .
