How is Abilify good for agitation when it *causes* agitation, in the form of akathisia? I've always wondered this.

Amazing! This is a big subject for me. I really feel that Rexulti has been a "Miracle Drug," for me. It almost silences Auditory Hallucinations. I currently take 4mg each night. I felt extreme fatigue with Abilify and even delayed response time with anxiety. I feel that since I have been given diagnosis of MDD (2009) then Schizophrenia, Paranoid in (2016) both of which Rexulti has benefited; my situation is served well by Rexulti.

My relative was very energetic while on Abilify. He is now on Zyprexa and is like a zombie.

It’s a terrific video! Definitely. The concerns I have though, is that you claim that brexpiprazole’s and cariprazine’s high affinity towards D3 receptors are supposed to produce less side effects, especially akathisia. Akathisia is still listed as a common side effect for these meds everywhere online.

Caplyta is reported to have only 2% of akathisia. That is very low compared to other APs.

I had a horrible reaction to Abilify. I couldn't take it, was only on it for 2 months. Rexulti I loved because it didn't have any side effects, but it stopped working after a couple years. But for about 2 years it was very effective for my Schizophrenia symptoms.

Couldn't you have increased the dosage when it stopped working?

@@Burevestnik9M730 Actually no because I was already on the maximum dose, but check this out, I'm actually back on it because I had bad side effects from Zyprexa and Invega. It's working ok this time around. We think the reason it became less effective last time was because of some personal issues that were stressing me out like substance abuse, moving states, not having my own place to live, being involved with a lot of new groups of people, etc. So there were a lot of factors going on that could've easily triggered psychosis. Right now I'm at a much better place in life. All together I take Rexulti 4mg, Wellbutrin 450mg, Vistaril 25mg, and Trileptal 300mg. It's working out very nicely with minimal side effects.

@@corymodzeleski7191 Did you check that channel wellnowdoctor? He says all AP will cause tardive dyskinesia eventualy. He kind of debunked Rexulti, basically saying it is an attempt of the company to get a new cash flow now that Abilify patent expired. I investigated another channel where they explain the mechanism of action of Rexulti vs Abilify and Rexulti seems to be a radical change in both dopaminergic and serotonergic pathways. Out of all your meds, it seems there are only two shinning stars: Rexulti and Welbutrin. I have a great hope that Rexulti will help my relative who is now on Zyprexa and is reduced to almost a zombie state, fully non-functional, and he twists his neck every 60 min on average. Prior to Zyprexa he was on Abilify but it impacted his liver. He only takes single meds, 10mg max, yet he has all these movement side effects e.g. his walk is like that of an old man. On Abilify his walk was energetic but 10mg was not sufficient to get him out of psychosis fully. What I don't know though is whether Rexulti would affect his liver just like Abilify did.

Ability helped me more for mood stability and aggression and irritability verse rexulti has had less affect on all but both had no affect on my paranoia
