It's unlikely but with anything, the more you use it the more wear and tear it will get.
Hi Lisa Do you think a coating of clear powder would be appropriate to "cap" the project?
I think the safest way to go about it is to use a thin piece of clear glass to cap it. I would worry about any gaps or air bubbles with using powder. But that is just my opinion.
Is applying a thin layer of clear frit powder sufficient?
No, I don't believe that would be a thick enough layer for food safety. :)
