I love that in the cubing community both of the world record holders can be friends and not only rivals. This also applies to all of cubing. I mean most people mainly aim to beat their own times and there is not that much rivalry between different people. Everyone is just friendly
With sooo many communities/hobbies you end up with pointless divisions and elitisms for the silliest of reasons, rather than everyone just enjoying the fact that they all enjoy the same passion. Cubing actually seems to be the latter, everyone just having fun and enjoying being around other people that enjoy the same thing - which is nice to actually see for once. 🙌🏻
@@SirSillageSniffington Yeah but most cubers are autistic or inward looking in some way. They are only focussed on cubing times or techniques. They haven't got any space in their life for anything else. You could put these two in a room together for a month and all they would do is cube, eat and sleep with the odd visit to the bathroom. Whereas anyone else would get bored after a few hours, start nasty chat, or backstabbing and fighting.
What a wholesome video. It's great to see two of the best cubers on the planet battle with each other Just to let you know they did 70 solves in total. 31 wins for Max, 38 for Tymon and a one tie.
Both of them are super good in cubing. But, to be very very honest, Tymon is in a whole another level. Because, at the level their cubing even 0.01 second means a lot.

The side by side race was really fun to watch. Thinking about how most mainstream depictions of speed solves typically shows one person doing one or two solves, seeing so may side-by-side solves is really cool. But, maybe you have to be a cuber to get it.
This had me grinning the whole time haha, this is so cool, it was like watching Messi chilling with CR7. Do we get more Tymax content? That'd be amazing.
Its amazing seeing these 2 race and being so friendly showing how every rivalry should be. These 2 have completely different solving styles and are almost averaging the same times.
Tbf, I'd say that if one solved Roux while the other solved CFOP it'd be "completely different" solving styles, I kinda deconstructed when they both got 4s and it wasn't that different, it's just that Tymon did a 2 move different xxcross than Max that led him to a worse OLL, thus why he was slightly slower. They really are not that different but I get what you mean, they have different specialties. Tymon is more technical and applies more knowledge while Max is still a lot of knowledge but with superb speed.
That was honestly a blast to watch. Two all time greats just having fun. Like if Kobe and Jordan were playing 1 on 1 in their primes after a game or something. Amazing.
The Tornado V3 Flagship is much quieter and probably lighter (Gan 12 has maglev). I also noticed that Tymon wasn't using the Gan 13 because he reviewed it previously which perhaps shows that he prefers the Gan 12. Also, Max wasn't using the Pioneer version. This probably indicates how both cubers like cubes that aren't too fast, but a little more controllable.
This was filmed a while ago. I assume the Tymon filmed trying the thirteen around the same time as this given that getting people to be at the cubicle is time consuming. Apparently Tymon has swapped to the 13
The matchup that I wanted to see for quite a long time! Even long before the joint WR, it was pretty obvious that these two are in a league of their own and very closely matched for 3x3. They were pretty much the only two contenders for the next WR and both ended up getting it which just shows how good and neck in neck both are. Although for 3x3, I still think Tymon may have a slight edge just because of how crazy good some of his solutions are and his LL recognitions are instant. And his solving style is personally my favorite, it just looks very effortless. But Max Park is still the ultimate cuber for now because of his dominance of big cubes and OH 3x3. Both top-notch cubers!
Max is a living personification of the love for cubing that we all have. To me, he represents the wonder and joy for cubing that I had in my childhood. Most people lose interest and move on to other things, but Max just simply can’t. In a way, being autistic like Max almost seems like a good deal; as long as you have supportive, perceptive, and dedicated parents like he has. It seems like an enjoyable, uncomplicated life. You have the things you love and that’s all you ever need. I’m autistic as well but I’ve never had one all-encompassing obsession. I go from obsession to obsession, none of them ever lasting more than a year. I come back to certain things, cubing being easily the most revisited obsession I’ve had. For someone like me, I sometimes wish I was more dedicated to a single thing like Max is, but I just can’t do it. Autistic people are lead by their interests. Our brain only works in full when we’re doing something we love. A regular person wants to do something, and so they work at it. Autistic people are different, we first develop some kind of interest, then work is no longer necessary because the act of pursuing our interests isn’t actually work at all, it’s pure joy. Frankly, it’s what we live for. Then the question becomes, if an autist has an all-encompassing interest that never fades, and they have the means to pursue said interest as much as they want, what life could be better than that? This is basically what Max is, and I have no doubt he enjoys his life more than the vast majority.

Also what version is his main and what version is his warmup cube???

tymon's LL is next level man....flawless ZBLL recognition and instant OLL-PLL transitions on practically every solve
