I’m currently solving a Puppet Cube 2 as an alternative to a 13x13 (since they’re usually $150 while Puppets are $10). I am a very slow cuber, but I’d still come up with my own algorithms. It’s also how I managed to solve the Square-1 and solved the corners of Puppet Cube.
I consider myself the casual. You might call it the fast inspector because I don't do inspection at all I just go, but I also don't time my stuff I just cube in-between cutscenes in games or whenever I'm not doing something else, and my times range from sub 30 seconds to over a minute because I don't know all pll algorithms and I have long ass improvised oll algorithms. My f2l is pretty dece though.
lol same, cutscenes, loading screens, sometimes just taking a break from school work like all those papers and books we need to read. Sometimes while reading the paper, which is usually when it goes over a minute because I make dumb mistakes like putting the blue yellow or green yellow edge instead of white blue and white green. But I use Roux method instead of CFOP.
im the unlucky one, like whenever im doing without a timer i get 3 f2l pairs already inserted, cross already built, oll and pll skip, but when I do it with an actual timer trying to get a pb I start discovering new LL cases that have never been seen before.

Then I learnt Roux method because it's easier. The Moretry came very late though so I was using the Weilong and the Gan 12 maglev mostly. Didn't use wrist turns when I began, idk just never occurred to me to using my whole had to turn lol, mountain biker, very used to just shifting with my fingers. Did it in 2 days. Everybody in the race is focusing on solving a rubics cube as fast as possible. That one dude who doesn’t care about the rubics cube and tries thinking for excuses cuz he already knows he lost: welp, at least mom won’t think am a failure since I have a decent excuse.
Idk if I count as a beginner with a GAN, I started cubing on a rubiks brand and once I got my time down to 40 seconds I decided I would get dedicated to getting faster. I first got a 15 dollar nameless cube from a local toy shop (it was basically a little magic with weird fake carbon fibre vinyl stickers on it), and then I upgraded to a GAN 354 M after getting a time of 35 seconds. Even though I technically wasn't a "beginner" anymore, I still used 2-look and my best time was 29 seconds for almost a year. Currently my PB is 24, but I've just gotten back into cubing and I've decided I'm gonna learn full OLL/PLL, starting with PLL. 3 days in and I've already learnt 6 algs! (Still getting muscle memory for them down though) And all this time later, that GAN cube is still as good as new, and still stands as one of the best cubes on the market. My logic was always, "if I start with the best, I wont need to upgrade", and it seems I made the right choice... i love my GAN :)
I’m the one who forgets to start the timer. I normally average 32 secs but recently noticed I’ve started getting some 28 second solves, and every time I get a really good solve. A solve so good that I know its most definitely going to be sub 30 I look down at the timer and it’s not started.
You forgot the 'Seasoned beginner' A beginner that rarely touch the cube and it takes them a year to solve the cube And the 'Reassemblers' they break the scrambled cube and fix it piece by piece
I'm a new category: colorblind with my gan sometimes I can't tell green and orange apart in bad lighting so I either make the cross wrong or insert a pair wrong and add like 3 seconds on to the time lol. Or I look at the PLL and think: wait is that orange or green? I do the wrong algorithm and ruin a good solve
