Unfortunately, this huge debt is a problem for my grandchildren/great-grandchild. They wont live the privileged life that I have that created this debt.

Not only does extreme cold affect the ability to charge but operating in areas with extreme heat (like Arizona and Nevada) or cold (Canada) will result in faster degradation of the useful life of the battery.

The EV industry is still young. Look back over 100 years and the ice is still here. ICE is outdated, inefficient, too many moving parts and it depends on one form of "fossil fuel" or another. But the ice is still here and always will be. Oil is king.

Electricity also has its inefficiencies. Consider the enormous mass of batteries that must be used to get an acceptable range. This extra weight puts severe strain on the tires of the car making them wear out twice as fast and also causes more wear on the roads. And where is the tar for the new asphalt to repair the roads and the chemicals to replace the tires more frequently going to come from - petroleum!

Another thing that should be added is the propaganda aspect. Many people will say if you don’t see black smoke or smell it. That means the car is clean and its ethical. If it was so ethical why are we still using fossil fuels to manufacture these vehicles and having to cut out all fossil fuels immediately as if we are heading to an Armageddon scenario? I had to debunk teachers that believes EVs are clean yet I told them we used batteries for decades for flip phones, mobile gaming devices like Gamboys, DS’, iPhones, Androids, etc. Even our consoles. The electricity we use from 2011 in the U.S. alone is 75% from coal refineries. And because batteries are using the electricity that emits the carbon energy still producing CO2. Essentially we are still making CO2 and not replacing it with oxygen. The ethical part Elon Musk being a billionaire doesn’t give safety equipment to the Congolese. There is slave labor ranging from the age of 8-12 years and adults from 18-22. No mining safety equipment means they will get lead poisoning and families that use the rivers to provide drinking water to their families will be affected by that. Manufacturing should also be taken into account since not just Tesla is doing that, but the PRC is taking advantage of that to mass produce these vehicles. So for these people buying Teslas saying they are made in America are relying on CCP made vehicles that are notorious for terrible build qualities and shortcuts. SerpentZA has talked about of the hype of EVs and how they have government subsidies supporting it and how the demand is skewed. It has to do with the CCP government making so many of them and then leave the cars to rust with all the pollution these EVs are being manufactured. ua-cam.com/video/1SEfwoqKRU8/v-deo.htmlsi=WK96Wiw5aTR3l0qR

Eventually, many years down the road, electric cars may be a thing. Buying electric car right now is foolish. Technologies changing so fast , buy a car today and it's outdated tomorrow. Battery tech changes virtually overnight. The new batteries always just around the corner. That's why electric cars depreciate so fast. Who wants to buy an electric car now because it will be worthless tomorrow.

Have you ever heard of something called leasing. I've been doing it for 15 years. Recently I took advantage of the government giving money, yours and mine, to lease an EV. I wouldn't hesitate to do it again. 😎

@@FlyinGato I have been driving electric for several years. Most of the points made in the video are not set in stone, as time goes on things change. This video presents a very one sided story.
for a large portion (not all) of people, electric vehicles for sale today fully meet their transportation needs without compromise. note, I said not all. and mandates for them were stupid to begin with....

This is the first time I hear to one of your videos but it seems like you're a little confused meaning that you're making a statement on the video that Evie's are a scam and yet you go back and forth saying that this would be good and this won't be good and for this situation this would work but for another situation it might not so you're not really decided 100% yourself in the end.
You said that battery technology is not there and we're like 20 years away well what other technology do you know that from day one to day two it became super successful and perfect that's what it takes the governments and the companies need to get involved and yes the public will be paying for it in the end.
There's a case to be made from all angles but what I get back to once again it's the title of this video that says EVs are a scam and he is five reasons for it I think in your talk here I just got five reasons to get one and five reasons not to get one to be honest with you.
You know as far as subsidies and costs from the taxpayer I do want to ask you why are subsidies to go to Mars okay or why are billions and billions of dollars spent on the difference of this country when we really don't have any enemies that can reach us???
It's not a problem that we send billions of dollars in support of Israel and we're not going to get into what Israel is doing specifically right now but has done it for the past 3/4 of a century to be true and honest but then you have a problem with the investment required to develop a new technology. I think what you should say is that it might not be one silver bullet or one technology that can make the shift and the change for a better future. I agree if you're criss-crossing the country an EV might not be your best option that's why we have hybrids and without a doubt more fuel efficient cars should be developed. But correct me if I'm wrong in this country it's always been the bigger the better the baddest the fastest all we worried about is killing people around the world to keep our price at the pump low. Am I wrong.???
And the last thing I want to say I'm a big car guy but for the life of me I personally don't care if my car burns gasoline or cow s*** so I don't take sides like that.
The trick to adoption of these new technologies is first of all develop in them enough and setting standards.
Car companies have lost the plot too because they don't try to make an improved people transporter that we need they're giving us spaceships to go back and forth to work and that's why they cost 60 $70,000.. on the low end I may at.
They can make a sensible car that gets let's say 600 mi to the charge safe inexpensive and with technology that makes sense. Again give me the safety give me a GPS and some entertainment My air conditioning and I am good I don't need the car to make me coffee in the morning and be smarter than me or drive itself.!!!!
