Hi thanks for the comment, yes i did miss that on this video, i use turtlewax zipwax in the wash stage and i used a g3 clay mitt followed by turtlewax graphene ceramic wax 👍👍👍
@@mec-tec I couldn't get the top off no matter how hard I tried even after removing all bolts connected, so I had to just stick it back down with some sealer where I could get it in :( going to have to take it to a garage I think
I’m still getting a misfire from cylinder 2 after replacing the following MAF sensor Breather valve breather hose Oil separator Oil separator hose Spark plugs Ignition coils I have noticed that my cam cover is leaking slightly and it’s getting on the plugs. Do you think this might be the issue?
I have a similar problem on my Mk 2 2009 Audi TT TFSi S Line. Codes are P172 and P301 (cylinder 1 misfire) replaced plugs, Ignition coils and PCV valve. Still well bad. It’s in the garage at the moment and they can’t seem to find the issue either. It only misfires when it has a Loud on it (higher gears along the road) fine on tick over Any help appreciated
Thats a strange one mate, usually when a car does it under load its the plugs or coils or on older cars the ht leads, as youve changed them that should rule them out, have u check your rocket gasket isnt leaking into the plug holes as it maybe fouling the plugs, other than that possibly another vacuum leak somewhere or worst case a burnt valve Regards MEC 👍
@@mec-tec The garage thought it was the MAF sensor. They have just put a genuine audi one on and it’s still the same. They did a smoke test, which showed no air leaks. Could be an Injector I’m told, not much left 🙄🙄 it’s So frustrating mate
@@TheresOnlyOneKeebs have you tried to run a tank with Vpower and Liqui Moly Fuel system cleaner 1803 or the pro version 5153? That'd rule out the injector. If you've tried it already, I recommend doing a carbon cleaning, it completely cured my mysterious cylinder 1 misfire (2008 standard 2.0 TT) back in February after replacing the plug and coil pack to no avail. Auto Techs did a very good job for £130 or so stage 3 package. Or go for a walnut blasting to clean the intake valves as they might be sticking due to carbon build up.
Appreciate the video. I did the wife's TT last night with this
@@TransformwithJonGosman Awesome ! Top work 👍👍

Another job jobbed.....tec-tastic
Thanks mate 👍👍👍
Will any kind of car gasket sealer do the job?
Hi, i would always use an oil resistant rtv sealer otherwise it may leak, never use silicone, hope this helps MEC 👍👍

Did you wait for the silicon to dry properly before you started the engine? Maybe you did that but I missed it. Great video!
Hi yes it was left for a few hours, glad you liked the vid 👍👍
I’ve removed the cap and the diaphragm is split can you just replace that ??
Hi mate, as far as im aware you have to replace the whole unit
Regards MEC
Where did you buy your PCV valve from?
Hi from memory it was from ebay regards mec 👍

The car drives pretty much perfectly 90% of the time, it just has the occasional hiccup
