That smile on the kids face is what makes the hobby worth being in. Getting kids to experience trains is the only way that defunct railroad's legacies will live on. You went the extra mile and likely made that kid love steam engines for the rest of their life. 👍
That's fantastic Chris. You just created a lifelong enthusiast. Good Job.
Thank you Jeffrey!
Thats my Grandson Christian. He's one of your biggest fans, watches you EVERYDAY!! This has been a wonderful Hobby for him. I'm sure he will remember this for the rest of his life! Thank You for your generosity. Hopefully more children will enjoy this incredible hobby, Thanks to You!
You have an amazing family John! Something to be proud of for sure. It was a pleasure to meet them!
❤️😭 this truly touched my heart.
That's awesome Chris, that's what's all about giving to others and sharing this amazing hobby.
Sir, that is one of the classiest things I have seen in a long time. You made that young man's day, and I am sure for many years to come. I wish you and your family many blessing in return. Cheers.
What a fantastic gesture, Chris!! There's been a lot of comments lately in some O gauge groups about growing the hobby for the next generation. That was certainly one big step in the right direction!
Amazing video I love seeing this kinda stuff and I want to give you the role of The Mrbeast of Model Trains!
Oh wow he is. I guess you could call him Mr. Steam XD
I would have to give away 10,000 trains to be Mrbeast level! But thank you for this comment @FoxyNight45! Made my day :)
This was an amazing video Chris it was so cool to see the faces of Christian and Tony, what an amazing gesture Chris.
Thanks Daniel! A York we will never forget :)
@RBP Trains An amazing one in the books for you bud keep up the great work on the videos really enjoying them
That young man will never forget your generosity -- what a wonderful way to spread the word to the next generation!
It was so much fun to give this train to such a deserving young man. Was a great day and our hobby will be in great hands! Thank you Stephen!!
Lucky guy. I wish i was there. Ur the best. Ur very kind for doing that. Ur so kind hearted. Keep being awesome 😎
Hopefully we can meet at a future show @loona! Thank you!
It's not just all the young folks that love model trains. I'm 62yrs old and have always loved them since my father got me playing with trains when I was just a child. The magic of model trains never disappears. Just recently getting back to someone I love and started setting up the old train track to enjoy while I still can. I know my father is smiling down on me from Heaven.
You are so right. The magic never disappears. Thank you @MsKinnara!
Yup my grandfather got my dad into them and my father got me into them my father passed 11-22-23 a marine 1st battalion 7th marines alfa company miss you old man
Reminds me of how i almost convinced my parents to get me an HO scale 611 at a train show, the seller was no longer into model railroading and i wanted to have a piece of VA with me all the way in NY, he had a pretty decent price for it however my brother decided he wanted something more expensive that was LEGO so i didn’t get it…
Oh no! I am sure you will find the 611 again one day. Lot's of them out there! Thanks for watching @Voidthe3F
@@RBPTrains i hope i find it in HO scale agin, then i can truly have matching scenery! And your videos are the BEST, have a good day/night RBP!
GOOD ON YOU MY FRIEND, IM SO HAPPY TO SEE A YOUNG CHILD GET A TRAIN,MY YEAR OLD GRANDSON LOVES MY TRAINS AND I LET HIM HAVE AT IT AN WILL NEVER TELL HIM NO, GOD BLESS YOU FOR SPREADING THE LOVE RBP
Thank you @jerzeydolphins! Those memories with your grandson are precious!
Chris, what a wonderfully generous thing for you to do! And the look on young Mr. Christian's face just said it all despite his shyness at meeting a UA-cam celebrity like yourself. In addition to the Triplex you've given him a memory he'll treasure for the rest of his life which can be another 75 years or more.
Almost brings me to tears! 😂
Thanks for sharing this with us!
That's very nice of you Chris. I'm sure Christian will remember this forever. Thank you Chris for all that you've done and continue to do for our community.
That's awesome, Chris. You made his day. In fact, maybe his year
P.S. I also sent my video for the RBP and freinds video. Whether I make it in or not. I Can't wait to see everybody's layout
Thanks @D&H 2906 PRODUCTIONS! I will be looking at for your video when I review them in the next few weeks. Thanks for sending your video!
@RBP Trains no problem, Chris. My email begins with choochoo. It's kinda childish 😆.
But for now. Keep running and have fun running trains
Awesome, what a great thing to do!
Well done, Chris!
Chris that video have you giving that steam engine to that little boy and his father was simply heart touching. You are such a great person with such a big heart and such a great personality. You make model train collecting so interesting and fun for everyone. Chris you are a very special person. I am so glad that I was able to find your videos many months ago and I am a regular subscriber and fan of yours. Thank you Chris for showing everyone how to get the younger generation involved in this hobby. I wish that we were neighbors. You are a very special person. You made that little boys day and the memory he will always have of you and what you did for him. Your kindness will be rewarded. You are one special guy. 👍🙂
You’re so Generous! Awesome Video! 🚂👍😃
Well this was amazing. Ive always wanted to get to a point where giveaways and raffles were something I could offer and be part of, but I don't have much of an audience to host such things. Being able to give back and encourage others is an important part of any hobby. Model railroading can definitely benefit from it long term. Lionel with there VL BB Giveaway, train clubs doing raffles and giveaways, and things like this are great steps in the right direction. The Triplex will hopefully be in that boys life for a longtime and keep him inspired. Tip of the cap to you RBP on this one.
I've seen many wonderful things in my life. And at my older age, I'm delighted to see more. I must say, my eyes filled up watching. You're a "good 'ol boy" Chris.....thank you ! 👍
Thank you James! Christian was so deserving of this train. It was a special memory for sure.
Chris, the look on that young boy's face was priceless. So generous of you...remember when you give in such a positive manner it always comes back to you. Chris, in my humble opinion you're the #1 train youtuber!!
Thank you so much Daniel! I am grateful to you and everyone who has been supporting this channel and keeping the energy alive!
Congratulations to that kid, i hope he has a good time with the triplex 👍
I have been getting updates since the show and it he has been running it non-stop, haha! Was so awesome to see his excitement. Thank you @SteamIsKing Productions!!!
Aw…… I bet he keeps running it because of what you did during that moment. He was probably so touched and can’t stop thinking about it, I know I was certainly touched. My heart is so full and I can’t even put it into words right now
Hey Chris. Thank you for being an awesome example to the model train future generations. I am sorry I missed you at York last week, but look forward to meeting at a future York. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Scott and hopefully we can catch up at the Fall show this year!
Nothing short of AWESOME, Chris!
Thank you Nicholas!!
Very nice for you to get a new train fan into the hobby.good job Chris.😊
Thanks Jim! Wanted to do something different for this York Show :)
Christian: IT’S BIG BOY!
Chris: I think you mean Bigger Boy
All jokes aside, this was actually really cool!
Haha! Even though it was not a Big Boy, I do not think he was disappointed, lol. Thanks for watching @OptiBlue16 Stop Motion!
@@RBPTrains Yeah, I don’t think he was anywhere near disappointed lol. And You’re welcome! :D
Hey RBP, as a viewer from Canada theres one train set i think would look lovely on your set, its called the Royal Hudson, it's a Hudson engine that ran on the Canadian Pacific line from the late 1930s to 1960, some of the engines were still used for special events until 2010 where the last Royal Hudson ran, but i think it'd look beautifully running along with some of the other passenger trains
That was a good thing ya did! The Triplex is a must have for anyone!
It was a great moment!
What a great way to bring a grizzly bear like me to tears…. GREAT JOB RBP!!!!! This is the way to keep the youth into our hobby.
Me and my friend were looking for you and Eric the entire time we were there Friday
Hopefully we can catch up in the Fall!
YES!
@@RBPTrains What month?
That was nice to see how you gave him the Triplex yet I never saw the Triplex O scale Version in person but I’m pretty sure it’s big because I saw a O scale SD70ACE and it was big
You're one in a million. The look on that boys' face was priceless!!!
He was so excited! Well...we all were! Thanks for watching Dave
Chris.....just absolutely awesome!!! You are such a wonderful, modest, and engaging ambassador for the hobby!
Thank you @Jweeks Pelle31! I can't do any of this without you and everyone who has been watching these videos. You all are my motivation and I am truly thankful.
Chris, it was very generous and kind of you to give your brand new triplex to a subscriber! Christain's face lit up when he found out you were giving it to him!
Thanks @Trainking79! It was a special moment. That engine went to great new home!
Super - way to go Chris! That family will enjoy it immensely I’m sure!
Such a great video in every way. I’m glad to see more and more people enjoying the hobby.
Chris, such an act of kindness and selflessness. That little guy will remember that for the rest of his life. You are what make the UA-cam community so great. Keep posting love your videos. ❤
I appreciate you Steven!
What a kind gesture to give such a beautiful engine to this young family. I don’t know who was more happy, Christian or his father. Well done!
I think it was a win win, haha! Thank you John!!
You did an amazing thing to give him that engine. His face was filled with joy.
All I can say is "WOW!!!" What an awesome gesture!
Thanks Randy! Hope all is well my friend
Chris you are awesome the ways you share this hobby. A father and son who will never forget this.
Thank you Bill! I appreciate you.
Like I said before the world needs more people like you. Keep spreading joy and happiness.
Thank you Spencer! I appreciate you!
That kid’s reaction was incredible. Hopefully we have a new Hobbyist in the making. Thanks Chris and Sid.
That was awesome Chris !!! You made his day. The smile he had was amazing. That smile is what I like to see on the kids faces.
Thanks Chris and great meeting you at the show! Thank you for all you do for the hobby!
It's things like that Chris that make your channel and your passion for the hobby the real deal. That was fantastic
Thank you so much Barry!
Awesome Chris!!! What a phenomenal gesture… This boy will never forget… Thanks for being a good role model for these kids…
Way to go Chris! I can remember when I was that age when I spent hours just looking around in my local hobby shop just wishing that I had the money to purchase some of the Lionel trains that were on the shelves, I usually just ended up leaving with a fifty-cent matchbox car or truck. You really made that young man's day.
Way to go Chris, what a tremendous gift for that young man and family! He’s now into model trains for life!!! It will come back to you many times over!!!!!
Fantastic Chris! What a wonderful way to help a young family into the hobby; BRAVO!
Gotta admit that grabbed my emotions. That was real class Chris, you’re an honorable gent to have done that for that little guy. And yeah, he’ll never forget you!!! A good deed well done that might actually spur other folks with immense collections to pass on some of their pieces and promote the hobby. We should see ourselves as stewards of a hobby and temporary holders of model, works of art. It’s great to have fun with your collection but feels great to share that and see the enjoyment grow in others.
Wow that’s so awesome Chris! Now “that’s” a way to give back and give inspiration to the next generation! That was so cool and you “made” his day/week/month for sure! I’m sure he will be telling his kids someday about this!🍻 (a TEN out of 5 stars!)
Thank you @Mac Guy! Definitely a moment none of us will forget!
Chris, I am so impressed with your gesture in giving such a high end locomotive to this young man and his father. You've touched them for the rest of their lives. Nothing but respect for your great generosity. Kudos to you. 😊👍👍
Absolutely fantastic, Chris! Christian will remember this forever. 👏👏👏
This is such a great heart warming moment. This is one of the best train video that I’ve watched in a long time. Wait a go chris! 🙏🏻🚂
That's awesome Chris! Way to keep the younger generation engaged in the hobby! He is never going to forget this. What would be great to see is 15 or 20 years from now, him running this on his layout with you there to visit, and of course, record it.
Chris, fantastic give-away. I'm sure that young man will remember you and this moment for his entire life..
You guys are so awesome! Wow it warned my heart and gave me chills to watch him open that box. You guys are doing great things in the train world.
Hey where can I get a "eat sleep train repeat" shirt?
So wholesome. That would so be my reaction if I got something like that as a kid. I wish the hobby wasn't so expensive, I really want to get into 0 Guage now that I'm older but it's just not cheap sadly
Respect to you RBP on gifting the kid the train. It’s good to help people in life whether from a gift to a smile or a helping hand. The kid was so happy as I think we all are.
Chris, what a fabulous idea! We definitely need the younger generation to carry forth in this awesome hobby! James
That was incredible generous of you and something that family will never forget.
Wow Chris that was very nice of you to give someone who watches you and that was so sweet to of you to give him the Virginian triplex although I am a little sad and disappointed that you gave it away it was one of the most rarest engines in your collection and I hope you get another triplex but are gonna get the same Virginian triplex or the Erie triplex?
The world needs more blokes like you - Seeing that kid's smile was priceless
Chris, this is an amazing act of selfless generosity. This young man and his family will never forget your gift. My engineer's cap is off to you!
Thank you Mike! It was a great moment.
He looked so happy and excited when it was powered on the test track, that was very cool of you Chris to give him one of your engines. Great video
Boy I was smiling as much as he was when setting the whistle off. You can see how much he is going to enjoy that engine for years to come and what a great piece and hobby for father and son to enjoy together too!
I saw this on IG. Such a nice thing to do and that kid will never forget what you did. A truly nice guy in a hobby that many times is filled with stuffy old men.
Its disupointing because you hade to give away that nice steam engine of yours but the good news is you made that boy so happy 👍🙂.
A great story and wonderful gift, thanks Chris for sharing, that made my day!
That’s a man who will go out of his way to brighten someone’s day. Keep up the good work.
You have a lot of class Chris! That kid will never forget.
That's so awesome, the young man is so excited! Love his expression
Chris.......You have a heart of gold. You are an amazing ambassador for this wonderful hobby! Wishing you many blessings for all you do and simply........but not so simple "in giving back to our hobby". Thanks once again......As I know....being a father myself......your Dad has to be very proud of you!
Thank you so much Michael! I appreciate you and everyone who has been supporting this channel! You all inspire me to keep on rolling :)
What a great thing you've done, Chris! You've made a young boy and his dad very happy with an awesome gift that they'll never forget. I'm personally very impressed with your generosity and unselfish enthusiasm. You're the type of person that makes this hobby great to belong to.
The smile on not only his face but his dads face was amazing. Your such a great person keep up the great work
Was a moment we will all never forget! Thanks Sean!
Wow Guy! Beautiful gesture and gift. Not gonna lie to ya … got a little tear in the eye. Very well done .
That little boy will treasure that locomotive for the rest of his life.
He is quite definately a train boy!
Wonderful thing to do Brothrtman!!😊😊
RBP your generosity and passion for the hobby is truly inspired. What an amazing experience for that young man. Incredible video.
Thank you so much Jack! I appreciate you and everyone who has been supporting this channel!
The young men will never forget what you did what a wonderful thing to do 🎉
I know that kid wil def put use to that engine !
Oh yeah, you know it! XD
I guess you could say it’ll be a really useful engine
You bet! I heard he has been running it nonstop since their family got home! Thanks for watching @Average Erie Railroad Enjoyer
Great job, Chris! Very generous of you! 👏
Katy boy. Sorry I missed you. Chris said you were at lunch. Dang it.
Nicely done. That kid was tickled &&&$$@@ less. Your generosity is beyond commendable. Someone far wiser than I whispered in my ear “thou shall reap what thou sows.” Positive synergy. Keeps our hobby alive.
Hopefully we can catch up at the Fall show!
If only more people in this world understood the absolute joy of giving. Way to go Chris ❤
Hey Chris! Your channel is my favorite I subscribe to - not only trains, but overall. Now I know why. The old adage "It's better to give than receive" has often been lost in this materialistic world, but you showed how one random act of kindness can really make a difference. The best part is the joy on that kid's face when he blew the whistle! Maybe others will be inspired to do the same. You picked a great family to give your beloved train to. God Bless everyone involved. Thanks for this video. I needed it. Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much Tom! His face was priceless when he blew the whistle. An incredible experience and memory! Thank you for all of your support.
That smile was huge. I don’t know what was bigger the train or the smile 😂. You know he will probably will hold on to that train for a long time. The triplex is cool but to have a triplex from mr. RBP is going to make that engine way cooler. Especially when you have video proof.
Haha! It was funny watching him walk with the train. He did not want to let go of that box! Thank you @Train Bandit!
@@RBPTrains your welcome. I noticed he had a good grip on the box. You made his day.
Tat’s his baby
Funny how this doesn't surprise me. Watching all your videos, seeing your personality and briefly chatting with you at the fall ( I think) York. You just strike me as a guy who has this in his heart. What a gem you are Chris!!!!
I remember chatting with you Joe and it was great meeting you last Fall! Thank you for all of your support.
Wow Chris! What an Amazing thing to do! I was crying when I saw the joy on that boys face when he blew the whistle. You are an awesome person to think of others like that. Thank you for your generosity!!!
That was my favorite moment too! Handing him the remote and seeing his face was the highlight of the entire experience. Thank you for all of your support CJ!
What a selfless act. Talk about paying it forward. 😊 You're a true gentleman Chris🤝🏽💖🚂
Thank you my friend! This is all thanks to you and everyone who has been supporting my low budget basement trains videos, haha! You all are my energy!
Wow, that’s amazing! That young man had a smile that went from ear to ear, incredible . RBPMTrains that was outstanding
Thank you Robert!
What a great idea, he will never forget this day for the rest of his life
Your joy in all things model trains is so inspiring. But giving the Triplex to that boy and his father is above and beyond anything expected. I truly think you are changing our hobby for the better. Thank you for the inspiration.
Thank you so much Bob! Seeing comments from folks like yourself inspire me to give back. This is a great community!
Fantastic. I love that. I totally agree that there has to be new ways to bring kids into the hobby. Although that is a big investment on your part it was very generous of You. Hope to meet up with you over the summer when I’m in your area. Keep up the great job in promoting our hobby. 👍
We definitely need to meet up when you are in town! Looking forward to it.
Wow! Impressive display of kindness. That’s a holy grail engine for a lot of us and now for that wonderful family. See you soon in Detroit I hope.
Thanks Steve! Hope to see you out there this summer!
WOW!!!! what a great way to encourage and promote our great hobby. You are a very giving person. That train will always have a story behind it.
It definitely will have a story! Thank you so much @Larry!
You just made that young man's day. I wish the hobby wasn't so expensive so more people could enjoy it.
Thank you Steve!
Thank you for spreading some joy to a very appreciative young man! This great Chris! Awesome!
Thank you Joseph!
Very Cool! Great job Chris! Now that's a random act of kindness! Proud to know you.
This means so much coming from you Scott! Thank you for all you do for this great industry!
