Si yo tenia 10 años y recuerdo cuando la Reina Isabel II pasó por la calle Pocuro, en el Ford Galaxie seguramente en camino al Price of Wales Country Club. Yo cursaba 3era preparatoria en el Colegio San Ignacio de Pocuro y ese día nos hicieron salir a la calle para ver el paso de la reina.
Que bonito recuerdo. Fue un par de años antes de comenzar con la tragedia que vivimos en los años 70.
Eramos niños e inocentes y creiamos en un país de hermanos.
Que linda es la inocencia 😞

I was in the kinder. Our very english college went there to see and salute the queen. The crowd was impressive, but her majesty looked quiet and gladly pleasured at her Valparaíso´s visit. Past Britain influence was still alive in the old port city before it sadly disappeared in subsequent years.
Qué pena que no haya regresado a nuestro país por una segunda vez(como sí lo hizo para con México).Isabel II ,toda una ganadora.Admirable,sencilla,templada.Siempre favoreció a CHILE respecto de sus límites con Argentina.Fue la mejor embajadora y relacionadora pública que tuvo el Reino Unido en el siglo II.Gracias por todo,Su Majestad.
Yo tenía 13 años y nos llevaron de la escuela a ver el paso de la reina en Valparaiso. Estábamos en avda Brasil con Bellavista después de ella haber visitado el Arco Britanico y el monumento a Lord Cochrane. Saludabamos con pañuelos blancos y banderitas. Unos años más tarde y en el mismo lugar estuvo la princesa Ana y el actual Rey Carlos lll. Es una imagen que todavía tengo en mi memoria. Después de varios años mas en 2002 tuve la oportunidad de visitar Londres y recorrer todos esos lugares símbolo de la monarquía.

Si yo tengo clarisimo el recuerdo, cuando siendo alumno del Colegio San Ignacio de Pocuro, estando en 3 ero preparatoria, nos hicieron salir a la calle para ver el paso de la Reina Isabel II, en el Ford Galaxie, hacia arriba por Pocuro, seguramente a su visita en el Prince of Wales Coutry Club, que aparece en el video ( donde están plantando un árbol )
