Super Mario World - Worst Player Ever

The Worst Player Ever challenge continues as we make the jump to the SNES with Super Mario World. How low can we keep the score counter in our attempt to beat the game? You might be surprised!

Hey! The worst player ever returns to continue his low scoring campaign! I think I know what’s gonna result in the lowest score here but I can’t wait to see if my theory is correct~
EDIT: I was close. I forgot that breaking the yellow blocks was worth points so you would need a detour.

I had a hard time choosing wither I would place Super Mario World below or above Super Mario Bros. 3 in my tier maker list of the main Super Mario games. At the end of the day, I placed Super Mario World below Super Mario Bros. 3. But Super Mario World is still a really good game. Super Mario Bros. Wonder is my favorite 2D game overall, but my favorite of the classic 2D games is Super Mario Bros. 2. I'm very excited to see that one is next on the list! (Albeit through Super Mario Advance since the original NES version has no score system).

Yeah I’m in the same boat with 3 and World. Both are fantastic entries so close to each other in quality. I also give 3 the edge because it feels a bit tighter in controls and level design, though I can also understand if someone likes World better.
Thanks for the feedback, and glad you’re looking forward to Mario Advance. Hopefully I can get around to that some time soon. 😁
