I loved You Honor! Both Shows are real and some people need to see what's happening in so many neighborhoods. Should be on TV 📺 ❤

It's a hard watch. The first two episodes were packed with a lot. From all sides. Too much to take in. I hoping the rest of the season paces better. Anyone with anxiety or gets triggered quick would not sit thru it. I love Courtney B Vance and Michael B Jordan...this series is just too hard to watch.

While I like Vance very much as an actor, I bet I could write much of this story. Without regard for the fact that the Chicago PD is majority minority, one of the white (against the odds) cops unjustly arrests the young man who fails (of course) to comply. Kid gets locked up which destroys his college future. The public defender rises to the challenge of fighting an unjust arrest from racist PD (who are majority/minority) and a racist legal system (also majority minority but somehow the judge and prosecuting atty are both white). They win the case and frustrate the racist system.
OH! And at some point, a hard nosed, racist cop (white, against the odds) goes into a place of business and demands private and confidential records from a secretary (which would poison the whole investigation and have the case thrown out) and when she refuses, the cop utters those famous words: "We will come back with a warrant" by which I am sure he means a subpoena.
I don't know why a left wing activist writer doesn't simply take the time to go on a "ride along" or learn about what policework is actually like. Do a little research about the subject rather than focusing on the agenda and pumping out THE MESSAGE. Instead, they read the NYT and watch MSNBC then, based on their "research" of watching the first half of Dick Tracy to learn about police procedure, they write some leftist fantasy of what reality is like.
    Smells like propaganda to me.

While looking at your comment you are a supporter of the right! I'm from Chicago and on the Southside and we recognize that the majority of cops are not white! Most are good but some are bad recognize that fact!

@@fmm2339 you are a troll! Black people don't see all cops as bad! I have a brother who's a cop! Chicago and many other cities paid alot of money to people that didn't commit the crime! You wake up white man!

@@calm1047 I'm a supporter of good reasoning. Trump was a cunt and his administration had some very good policies which were effective. I think Biden is a turd and his administration has some very damaging policies. I'm not left/right. The Dems are a party of bad ideas. The GOP is a party of spineless people with no ideas at all.
It is absolutely a fact that out of the 900,000 people (people) who work as police officers, not 100% of them are.... of any description. It's kind of a statistically stupid contention. I agree with you utterly, I embrace what you are saying as fact, I hold your comment in my heart as an absolute truth.
However, the phrase "COPS ARE...." in my mind is derived from the same reasoning which leads to "BLACKS ARE... " Generalizing, or reasoning from the specific to the general is a fallacy. People need to stop emoting and learn how to think. I mean reason as a learned skill, a formal method or system. Form an argument and study a syllogism. Understand the logical absolutes.
This popular mode or method of reasoning which is at the heart of racism in the first place.... is crap reasoning. The constant throng of that poorly reasoned, bigoted point of view being constantly crammed down my throat in every piece of entertainment media I see is as repugnant to me as if the message (a result of the same flawed reasoning) were "jews are shifty" or "blacks are unreliable" "ICE officers are bullies and bigots". It's leftist propaganda. I object.
