2020 regular RX 350 and you're good to go
@@MeynMotorGroup am sorry to disturb, thanks, but what about 2021
If you can afford it sure
@@MeynMotorGroup thank you very much..
I just purchased my first RX350 last week. Atomic silver exterior with black interior. Actually your review made my decision to buy this outstanding vehicle much easier. I just had it for one week but I found almost everything you mentioned about it to be very true. I’m still in the process of getting used to it but I just love every single detail about it. Thank you Kevin.
Wow massive congrats on your purchase and Im so honored that I was able to help. Enjoy that incredible ride my friend!
You really understand this car and it's intended buyers and use scenarios. I just got a 2020 Rx 350 AWD and it's amazing. Had a 2017 ES 300h for the last 3 years. Literally my only regret is not getting the Hybrid RX, for the mpg. Otherwise, Lexus vehicles just make your EVERYDAY driving practically effortless and insanely comfortable. The RX eats up the potholes around NYC better than I expected, and greatly reduces driving stress and fatigue on highway drives, especially with all of the safety features and adaptive cruise control. Great review, thanks!
Thanks for your honest opinion. I am also old school and loved it when you trashed those 4 cyl turbo. I am very glad to hear that Lexus finally firmed up the suspension. I am a life time Honda/Toyota fan but I owned mostly Honda/Acura products because of much better handling. I don't have to slow down for a curve. I test drove a new 2018 RX350 and just wasn't impressed with the cornering,. I always selected a quiet street where I drove backward for at least 100 feet before a J-Turn to test suspension and an Acura RDX and MDX handled much better than the RX350. So I selected the RDX. I may take a look on Lexus again on my next new car.
I just found your channel, and I like how you keepin it real man, no bs.
Hey thanks so much my friend, I'm humbled you found value with the content
Your review is great for the common family users/drivers. The video setting is good with sharp focus on you and the car and no hot spots like some other videos. The inside shots are so sharp with perfect colors. You used the S words, but no F words so that's OK.
Thank you my friend glad you found value with this review
I have recently been watching your videos and I like your style and approach. Something that sets you apart from other car reviewers is your vision not affected by trends or current marketing standards. For example, it is rare to hear that someone will prefer an older LS over the new one. Your channel is great for the viewers who don’t want to follow trends and just want the best car for the best money-that’s where your channel is unique.
I however, believe you are missing a structure in your videos and a measurable conclusion at the end of them.
For example, I have had a great time watching this video but what am I going to remember of this Lexus you reviewed tomorrow? Nothing.
I want your channel to be successful and, I believe, you need to:
1. Structure your videos, so that all cars are reviewed to the same standard and compared equally.
2. Give a measurable conclusion of each car you review at the end, so that whenever your viewers need to make a decision, they can clearly and quickly decide which car is the best for them without reviewing your videos over.
All the best!
Hmm I hear ya so are you thinking more along the lines of comparing the car at the end with other vehicles?
Exhaust Sports Auto
For example, compare vehicles in the same class with a combination of parameters you believe are important by giving points to each of these parameters, divided by the cost of that vehicle.
I do try that to an extent but because I'm a nobody I actually haven't driven every car out there haha. I've driven a car from every manufacturer but I can only generalize about other manufacturers unfortunately but to be fair once you've driven one you've driven them all since all of them feel the same for the most part for a manufacturer
My husband got me the RX350 with the upgrades a month ago, I really enjoy driving it.
Nice massive congrats its a phenomenal vehicle
Good husband!
Your honesty truly shows my appreciation is great
Thank you my friend!
Got my 2022 RX 350 AWD with all the options and discounts I need from lease companion , great SUV to drive , it was good experience with those guys .Thanks for review Kevin, as I was opting for f sport but then realized why waste money .
Thanks for your reviews! It helped me decide which SUV to get. I was so hang up on an MB GLC but from your professional perspective I was convinced this is the new vehicle for me.You make great no nonsense reviews. Keep up the good work. BTW, just got mine in atomic grey. Nice color, I didn’t realize how big they are until I’m @ the dealership picking it up. But, like you say the bigger an SUV the safer it is, it’s so comfy to drive too loving it!
So honored I could help and Im so happy that you like the vehicle. Yea Lexus really crushed it with the RX a true no compromise high quality vehicle. Enjoy!
Omg thank u for this review I too was hung up on MB GLC until someone told me tht the Lexus IS the best option. You saying this confirm me making the best choice
Superb! Thanks for this excellent, comprehensive review.
Thanks again for watching sir
We have a 2012 RX450h. Dated now and a bit of a boat but it's a dream to drive on long trips. Like the cloud from Super Mario Bros on wheels.
Nice yea the older Lexus cars before 2013 were very comfy and quiet. They tried to go a little aggressive afterwards but now in 2020 they are trying offer a blend of driving dynamics and comfort so they don't feel as boaty
@@MeynMotorGroup I hope they don't do a Jaguar and throw the baby out with the bathwater trying to appeal to a wider market. There's a lot to be said for sticking to what you're good at.
Aay, once again a great video. Happy to see you posting again, it's interesting to see more companies going for faux leather now. I wonder what their reasoning is. Stay safe and I hope you're doing well dude
Hey thanks for stopping by again yea I'm fine hope you and your family is well. Yea Lexus has been doing the fake leather for a while now aside from flagship cars they hold up really well ill give it that
It is to avoid cruelty to animals.
Thank you a great review!

Great overview Kevin, we all appreciate it.
Awesome review as always
Very good, this was honest review
Thank you my friend but not many people appreciate honesty 😅
Best review Ever! Thank you sir. I went out and purchase my first RX 350 a week ago. I have the Sam atomic silver finish but I have the birch seats. Seat covers coming. Best car I ever own! Lexus forever
Wifey and I test drive the RX350 but purchased the GV80 Prestige. No regrets whatsoever
GV80 is epic massive congrats my friend saw one in person it looks amazing too well-done
Was in the market for an SUV recently, strongly considered rx 350 but went with another car- Hyundai Santa Fe Limited. Although not as refined as Lexus it is pretty darn close. It's 2.5T engine combined with 8 speed Korean made dual clutch tranny is nothing but fun to drive as turbo lag is almost non existent and 6.2s to 60 is no joke. What made me buy the santa fe was the options, superb infotainment and technology. Limited Santa Fe has it all- full digital cluster, huge touch screen, 12 speaker Harman Kardon sound system and more. Rx with those options is around 15k more, too much to pay for the "brand". Rx is a great car, don't get me wrong but Hyundai is making Toyota and Honda work hard for their sales for sure.
Can't compare the two brand at all in terms of reliability, comfort and quality. The RX has way better build quality and will outlast the Santa Fe. Toyota and Lexus definitely didn't become number 1 because of the Logo.
Great review. Thanks
Glad it was helpful!
I drove one of these while my LS 460 was getting some maintenance done. Compared to the LS, it had a huge amount of wind noise, I actually thought a window was open at first. The Non Mark Levinson stereo was terrible, and the entire interior felt cheap by comparison. Long story short, I'm spoiled by my LS haha
Did you drive a 2020 or previous gen RX? 2020 is a lot quiter than the previous car.
LS460 is much quiter than the new LS500 believe it or not
@@MeynMotorGroup The one I drove was a 2019, I wasnt aware the 2020 was updated. Honestly, since they addressed the wind noise, and it had the ML stereo, I bet the 2020 is a joy to drive.
Yea it really is because I remember driving thr 2017 and I had similar complaints and this fixed all of them.
But you did great with the LS460 one of Lexus' finest creations at a great price
nce again a great video.
I build this at TMMC and am very proud of the quality we do.
You should be phenomenal cars, solid, well built, and enjoyable to drive. You and the team should be proud
@@MeynMotorGroup very proud 👏
Keep in mind that most of the lexus rx 350 competitors require premium gas which will cost you a lot too on longterm since the price for gas increases. Lexus did nailed it by making a premium car that can use regular gas.
Lexus recommends premium fuel for this. Idk how many people follow that tho but I personally would and just get a Costco membership
@@MeynMotorGroup No,RX 350 runs regular unleaded. Prior to that, premium recommended BUT the manual says you can use regular
I put Supreme in mine...happy medium 🤷🏾😁 #2020Caviar
great job...good rewiew ,,,helpfull,,,ty
Glad it helped my friend!
this is cars are a lot more reliable then germans cars for sure and great review
great review
Thanks!
Between the Lexus IS350 F Sport and a Nx200/300 F sport, which would u personally pick? It’s around the same price (used) for us out here in the Philippines. Nice review as usual by the way, keep it up! :)
IS350 F sport all day my friend and thanks!
I have a 2020 rx 350 and think the suspension is too bouncy and wobbly in city driving. I took it back complaining about the suspensiony as it's still under warranty and they said it's normal. Anyone else think the ride is a bit too sensitive on bumps in city driving. It's pretty good on the highway.
Great review! I have been trying to do all of my research on RX350 because that is what I have my eye on for the December sale. It’ll be my first car purchase in 13 years! My Toyota Camry has done me well, but I’m ready to sit up higher and give up the manual transmission! Initially I had my eye on trying to get a used 2019 but maybe I can get a 2020 loaner or one of the ones they are trying to get out of the door, so they can make room for the 2021. Do you think the economic climate will affect car sales? I know you did a review on the 2017, but do you know much about the 2019? Just in case my wallet tells me to stay in my lane lol! Thanks for the video!
Hey thanks so much my friend for stopping by. Yeah you will love this 2020 RX and the 2017 RX is essentially the same as the 2019. The 2020 refresh is noticeably more refined, quieter, and handles better.
The 2017/2019 are still nice cars no doubt but the 2020 is a nice improvement. If you're ok with leasing, you might be able to get the car cheaper. Luxury car sales have dropped drastically so now would be the time to go after a Lexus but Lexus isn't struggling as much as the other luxury car companies not yet anyways. Good luck my friend
Exhaust Sports Auto Thank you for your insight!
Exhaust Sports Auto 9
I have the 2017 F Sport. Love it.
Excellent Review, one question does these statements remain in the 2020 450h? Or does the engine in that version makes you change your mind?
Hi thank you my friend and yes I did a review on the 450h I like that vehicle as well. Very smooth hybrid system. Up to you if the additional cost is worth the fuel economy gains. Depends on how much you drive. But the vehicle itself is great just like this 350
I love that interior. Great review my friend!!
Hey brother how have you been? And I appreciate that! I agree I love the interior as well
If there’s an opportunity to test the front wheel drive version, I’d love to see that video. Thank you.
I have the same 2020 with executive package( Canadian equivalent)to luxury package. Previously, owned 2015 RX350 with similar equipment. The 2020 is much nicer ride, handling, and smoother, then the 2015. So, I concur with pretty much everything in your review. Plus, the safety features are worth it alone. Mine is atomic silver, which is an awesome colour to show off the body lines. All in all, these are great automobiles!
Massive congrats on owning those incredible rides. Yea the 2020 is a magnificent SUV and yes Atomic Silver is one of the best paint jobs for Lexus. Thanks again for stopping by sir
Kevin would I feel body fatigued if I made a 600mile trip in one of these. I know in my Grand marquise I can drive all day and not feel tired because of the longer wheel base. How does this model compare?
Great review, you sold me. Looking for a used one!
ua-cam.com/video/xCepJRW6IBo/v-deo.html
I hope this buyer's guide video helps you in your search my friend
Perfect video! We are entering the market for a RX350 currently, and any such information help us very much! Great presentation and inside information for us....Thank You sir!!!
Glad it helped my friend!
What are the advantages over german competitors? Reliability and top notch, genuine care for the customer.
Can you comment on this models trouble with the variable valve timing on models 2007 and newer? At 60,000-120,000 miles the line can rupture with oil everywhere.
Very nice presentation! I’m currently in the market for a used RX350. I’ve previously owned the GS models so this would be my first RX. In your opinion, I see a 2019 RX with 24k miles and a 2020 with 55k miles for the same price. Which would you pick, the newer model with more miles or the older model with less miles? Thank you.
I would def look into the older car with less miles but me personally I leased a 2022 RX350 through AutoCompanion and got 8.5% off MSRP on a new one and $1500 of lease cash on top of that
@@MeynMotorGroup thank you for your prompt reply! I will definitely look into both options.
This is the make and model suv I want. Not the color. Your review is amazing you don’t hold back and try to appear unimpressed like some other reviewers.
Finally a review that reflects my valyes I want to know how quiet it is. I want to know how comfortable it is. I want to know how well it drives. How firm the drive is how well it deals with speed bumps.
As a Santa Fe owner, this makes me feel glad LOL
Yea Santa Fe is really amazing
Great review as always! Who do we have to thank for providing the new Lexus RX?
Lexus themselves haha it's a press car. Toyota will give us the Rav4 TRD to test next week after this. Many manufacturers have pulled out of the fleets tho due to the "virus"
Hi and thanks! What are your thoughts about the Toyota Highlander ride vs. the Lexus RX350?
I unfortunately have never tried the Highlander but I'm sure it would ride great. RX will have the far superior interior and probably better insulation tho
Thanks for the videos - I’m a big Lexus fan. I have a 2019 RX 350 L and a 2014 LS 460. I know you’re a fan of the 2013-2017 LS series and I watched your video for the 2020 LS500h - but I didn’t realize until I saw this RX video how disappointed your were with the ride quality of the LS500h - I know you mentioned the “floatiness” in the LS video but was it really that bad compared to the 2013-2017 series?
Hey thanks so much and regarding the LS500h no its not inherently a bad car when you look at it on its own but its gone a bit backwards from the very excellent 2014 LS you have.
It just doesn't inspire as much confidence but again I only drove a heavy hybrid without the F sport package. I know someone with the F sport LS500 TTV6 with rear wheel steering and he said its a beast and liked it a lot. I too need to drive that model to make a proper judgment but the hybrid is an inferior choice
Thanks again - I appreciate your insight and I look forward to more videos...By the way, congrats on the LC - what a fantastic car.
Thank you my friend Im just happy I can provide value
Great review! I purchased a 2013 RX 350 f sport with 50,000 on the odo last year. Ride great a little firm. Replaced the rims with some 18 inch from the standard 19. Also I put some AT/ Hankook dynapro all terrains on it. Rides like a dream, no issues as well. Will be in the market for a new RX when I trade this one in!
Is it the safest vehicle to date? Not interested is speed, or being aggressive, sport, yes for cage, airbags all around, safety first! Please advise! Thank you!!!
Volvo has the record for safety
The closest competitor to the RX, in my opinion, would be the Lincoln Nautilus!
I def want to start reviewing some lincolns!
Lexus RX 350 V6 will go 200,000 - 300,000 with regular oil changes. Lincoln Nautilus is a new vehicle. Talk to me in 5 years.
Sold!
Haha yea it's a sweet ride I also reviewed the QX60 it's one of the newer videos if you're interested
How do you get a wide screen? Everywhere I look at, the 2020 Lexus has a small ugly screen
How is this vehicle on long road trips on highways?
Does anyone have a problem with the transmission? I just bought a 2021 and the transmission sucks, it tries to up shift and it bogs down. Sometimes it hesitates before taking off from a rolling stop. The dealer told me that’s normal for the 8 speed, I’m about to return it. The wheel also vibrates while stopped in traffic
Did you return it?? If so what did you get?
@@cp3onmtv963 I traded it in and actually got all my money back. I bought a new 2021 Audi A5 sportback. I love the car.
Does this year have oil leaks issues like the 16/17 model?
Definitely enjoyed this review cross shopping this and the 2017 xc60 currently have an 07 rx350 and I also drive very assertively some may say
Iike an asshole so this review was right on time
Thanks Mr Lexus!
Glad you enjoyed my friend hope you are doing well too
@@MeynMotorGroup Yeah buddy all good here.
Thats good to hear
Hi. For your recommendation to buy used 2021 rx or 2022 Accura MDX ? Thanks
Just get a 2024 MDX at 9.5% off MSRP from AutoCompanion
Does the RX350 have remote starter with Subscription?
Also does the engine stop after using the remote starter?
Yes and yes!
Ls 550 or Genesis g80 ?
my Mark Levinson sounds best with a DVD playing because for best sound out of that system you should play dolby surround sound ! Unfortunately this is mostly on DVD´s
Should I get 2017 RX 350 or 2018
NX 300? I appreciate for any recommendation.
RX every time far superior to the NX
Thank you for your video!
what's is the interior color? ( I don't see that interior color on the web of Lexus.) Can you tell me the out the door price? Thanks!
I believe it is called Parchment this one stickers for about 55k you can get it as low as 45k if you go light on the options negotiate any dealer discounts on top of that
@@MeynMotorGroup Thank you very much for your answer !
Is it good in snow ?
Kevin do review on the RX350L thanks
I just bought the exact same vehicle with the darker interior sticker around 54,000 I got $9000 off. Talk about a steel and I paid cash no interest baby
Nice! Massive congrats straight balling too haha enjoy
Wow you so lucky. Did you have that price for out the door? I ve been looking for it nowhere under 59k. Could you please tell you tip . Thank you 🙏
Wow! Thats so cheap. Good job on the 9k off 😉
Kim Le First of all I find the largest Lexus dealer in the city which has the most inventory. They’re usually the ones that have a lot of leeway. I always start off by talking to them on the phone or the Internet I don’t go in until I pretty much have a price with them over the phone
Alex Zutes sure did, I’ll show you the bill of sale.
I would like the triple beam with cornering lamps..
Those are nice for sure
I feel like the es350 to the rx is mainly the suv version
But idk. I love my es 350 2016 but thinking of switching to the rx now
How u compare this one to the 2017 model? Also we need to see a review on the acura rdx 2019/20
Yea this is definitely superior handling wise to the 2017 its also quiter. Yea I really need to review a new RDX I think that's a great ride
I have mix information on the type of gas to use with the rx 350 2020. Some say regular and some say premium. Which one please?
I would use premium since that is what the Lexus manual says
I have a 2021 and it says regular, if you use premium, you’re just wasting your money
Great video. Would rename as what your driving is a Luxury not base
I really want to like Lexus. For my needs the RX350 would be perfect. But I just cannot get over the styling. This thing needs a total redesign. I'm not necessarily against the grille or even their edgy design language- I like the way the IS and NX look for example. But, this thing is just unacceptably ugly from every angle. I just don't get it.
I can understand that looks are subjective regardless can't really speak on that too much in a car review
One of my dream cars
This is definitely obtainable you will get it one day my friend
Exhaust Sports Auto 🙏🏽
Exhaust Sports Auto how’s the gas mileage though?
Aggressively driving i was getting about 18 city but if you drive more casually you can get over 20 I'm sure
Exhaust Sports Auto thanks g
I wish the base RX 350 had the 360 camera and Mark Levinson here in Australia, even as options.
Oh man I'm surprised those items are not even option there crazy to think
Cameras are needed to help protect the 20s from those evil curbs. Mark Levinson because, well, Music!
Does this have the motion sensor to close the trunk
Yes it is an option that you can get on the RX 350
I currently drive a 2106 VW Touareg TDI. What are your thoughts on my car ?
My family owned a new 2012 Passat at the time I love how solid and how well VWs drive. They are great cars but to me, they are best leased.
It will turn to junk soon....reliability is a a word never heard of with VW
Grown-folk vehicle, allow me to just slide in and out. I like that.
haha yea my friend
We have an 19 Lexus RX 350 awd on the bmw car dealership I work with that I absolutely love and we have an 19 GMC terrain denali and if we were able to I would trade it in for the Lexus a lot better
I am about to pull the trigger with the Lexus. My previous Toyota products have not failed me yet. I wanted something different this go round. I have test driven the jaguar f-pace, BMW x3 and x5, Mercedes GLC and have made full-circle back to Lexus rx 350. Now I am stuck on color - Obsidian black/birch interior or atomic grey with black interior - real leather. I am allergic to that fake leather they are putting in cars these days.
Even among those awesome European cars I swear the RX is still a phenomenal and satisfying choice. You're not going wrong especially with the 2020 models. Let me know what you get!
@@MeynMotorGroup Thank you so much for responding. Funny my truck almost looks exactly like yours. You are not reviewing the base model, I don't believe. The only difference in mine is I have the hybrid and the real leather (which might be in the one you are reviewing). I also had an ES300h since 2013 which I Ioved as well.
Of course my friend and yea it's not a "base" model as it has a lot of options but I should have clarified what I meant which was to say this is not the F sport or the hybrid, my mistake.
And that's awesome yea the hybrid lexus vehicles are very efficient enjoy!
@@MeynMotorGroup Thank you so much, your wonderful and thorough review helped in my decision :-)
Humbled by that thank you! And stay blessed my friend
How do you compare this lexus with the 2020 glc 300 4 matic please?
The lexus feels like a more quality substantial vehicle but the GLC is very quite and comfortable. I think as a whole the Lexus is a superior vehicle especially with the interior but try both the GLC isn't bad just feels a bit cheap but its a benz and has some prestige I guess
@@MeynMotorGroup thank you..
Can you do the Volvo XC60??
The interior is just ... Why they do that to the beauty
Thanks Kelvin, thanks for your “stupid” thorough review of RX350. It’s the great review, but the title of the Video appears misleading to you don’t enjoy the base model, which is actually opposite.
Would you trade a 2021 acura rdx sh-awd aspec for this one? I know it's going backwards in years.
No I would not
@@MeynMotorGroup ok thank you 😊 for your swift answer.
Is the 2017 one a good buy for around 32k?
Great video bro...should i buy a 2020 Lexus RX 350 technology package for 36 k with 47k miles on it? Let me know your honest opinion bro
So that's a tough one my friend, RX is a great vehicle but the used car market is so over inflated, just doesn't seem worth it especially with these interest rates.
Pretty much impossible to find a new Luxury car at that mid $30k price but I will say, a new Nissan Pathfinder is as quiet and refined as the 2020 RX minus the nice interior and you can get 7-9% off MSRP usually.
Something to consider as that will be a new car fully under warranty with 0 miles and still comes with a V6 engine
@@MeynMotorGroup wow thank you so much brother for breaking that down for me... I didn't get approved for the 2024 Hyundai Tucson SEL this morning and I'm so heartbroken..... F sport seats are stiff drove one pass on that got luxury model.
I’m actually cross-shopping the 2020-2022 RX 350 with the 2021-23 Santa Fe Limited & Calligraphy trims, along with other cars. But even the Santa Fe Limited & Calligraphy have more features for the money & more power & a better 0-60 time than the stock RX. I mean if you make the necessary upgrades to get more torque then it would probably have a better 0-60 time
What did you decide for? I stick with Lexus for the reliability.
Looks like a Nissan Murano
The vehicle is a total disappointment and Lexus should be ashamed of it when they let if off the assembly line. Mine is ten weeks old and has given me nothing but trouble. Lexus refuses to admit there is anything wrong with the vehicle. Their service is horrible. What a disaster, stay away from this brand!
Lol that's a thoughtful comment but you still haven't said what the issue is Karen
Exhaust Sports Auto lets put it this way...the car starts when it feels like, you might be able to unlock and lock the doors, the windows only lower when the car decides they should, the trunk opens when you get out of the vehicle, the a/c doesn’t cool down the car, the navigation takes you to your destination but ends two miles shy of the actual location, Alexa hasn’t waken up yet so can’t rely on that working at all yet Lexus doesn’t find anything wrong. I could go on about the rain sensing wipers that don’t come on, the nonexistent horn and a few other items but I think you get the picture.
The grill is hideous. The only thing I don’t like about the model.
Many share the same sentiment
is this review for the base model?
This is actually a Luxury model just not an F Sport
@@MeynMotorGroup another questions: is it worth buying the AWD version? is there significant upgrades from the 2020 to 2021 model?
@@Mohi7- yes AWD is worth it and you’re going to have to test drive the RX you’re interested in because some of these drive amazing like the car I tested in the video, others drive like total trash. Only way you will know is if you test drive for yourself
