Not that surprising really, they used to be co-signed to a Christian label on Sony with their first album and toured with some contemporary Christian artists before Disney got really involved. I'm sure they'd heard of Switchfoot around then if not before due to their upbringing.

The Jonas Brothers are actually why I started listening to Switchfoot. I was obsessed with both bands at one point or another. This just makes my heart so happy!!!
I love how they married the magic of the original with their own special flavors! great strings and hooks, and loved the vocals and harmonies!

Exactly, the JBs dad was literally head pastor of their church as kids!
@@tiffanyyoung661 from the documentary, and from i can tell if their lives, they didn’t accept christ as their Lord and savior, denying themselves, taking up their cross and following jesus. Lots of people are pastor’s kids and don’t actually surrender their lives to the God of the Bible.
@@bermudashorts89Maybe they grew up true Christians but then found problems with how their faith looked and deconstructed/reconstructed? It happens a lot today as more young people discover the inequities in the Church today.
@@bermudashorts89 luckily God doesn't only use "good" people to spread his message. Whether or not the Brothers are truly aware of what they're saying in this song (I have no idea, only God knows their minds), God will use them and other broken, bent people to spread his word. Its all part of his plan!

Loving this! Missing JF’s beautiful combination of angst and hope in their voices but it’s a solid track. I’ve never experienced a band like SF that can do Rock, Pop and sick tension filled ballads filled with hope like this one! Still think The BL is their best album, but I find myself listening to “Where the Light shines Through” the most. Can’t get enough of “Live it Well” and especially “I won’t let you go” I had that on repeat just the other day. Looking forward the Atlantic City Show!
