- This week I am sharing a declutter and organise my home with me video. I am tackling my hot press (linen/airing cupboard ) and my small kitchen utility area. I picked up some organisation baskets from HomeSense and Heatons to help me put my items back in order.
I have been loving the Marie Kondo series on Netflix and I am enjoying decluttering my home.

SHOCKING LOL. A girl who actually lives in her home. We all have areas of disarray from time to time. Feels so good when it's organized. I think container stores are among my favs...love coordinating behind the closed doors too. Great job.

Yea I think it's an Irish thing to call it a hot press. Tacking the craft stuff is a hard one. I tackled my work area earlier this month and it was the best thing ever because I can find everything and put it back in its place. Thanks for watching! x

Decluttering is so much fun and relaxing. Idk I really don't like the konmari method but I am glad everyone is trying to be conscious of what they are consuming
Love the small basket idea on the back of the door 👍 would love to see you Declutter your kitchen. I often run around the house before guests arrive throwing things in the cupboard under the stairs, out of sight out of mind until I open the door days later and think nooooo why did I do that lol I think I'm due a De clutter thanks for the inspo great video x

@@DaintyDiaries Vets love to receive old towels. Something for their sick animals to sleep on and be wrapped in. They don't mind if they are old just not too tatty/ratty ones!

I live in the UK and we call the hot press an airing cupboard where we store towels, bathing costumes and bedding

Love this Catherine and loved the baskets. I spent 6 hours last weekend going through my craft room, having a good sort out. At times I felt overwhelmed with the task ahead but feel so cleansed and ready to craft again. I now know what I definitely DON'T need to buy 😉😂😂😂 at the next craft show! Love your videos, keep them coming x

Hi Catherine! I think we all need to do a good decluttering and organizing of are homes ! Throughout the year I do declutter mainly in the winter though like right after the holidays when you've putted all of your Christmas decor away , I've decluttered a couple of areas in my home ! Brilliant Catherine! We call it an airing cupboard in England. Interestingly we revamped ours last year and have floral boxes with our blankets and towels in. Much easier to keep tidy. Hope you continue to recover from your nasty illness 💜

Such a great job you did Catherine. I'm glad to see you sorted your hot press as I had plumber out working in mine once and he said never ever put stuff in there as can cause a fire hazard. I was shocked but I don't store much in mine as there are spiders in there and don't want them in my towels lol I had a knightmare before storing stuff but now my hubbie put shelves in a wardrobe in our spare room so I now have a dedicated linen cupboard 😊 but my whole house is such a mess and needs decluttering but will do in some day soon lol 😂 xx
That is a good tip about it being a fire hazard as there is a lot of pipe work and the water tank in there. Thanks for watching! x

pretty pink material and make curtain and hang in your kitchen closet where your washing machine is. Or put a hanging rod there to hang clothes that are delicate after they are washed!

This video inspires me to tackle my clutter! It is such a reward when it is neat, clean and tidy. Would love to see more. Right now I'm trying to figure out the most economical way to store all my holiday items. I always decorate for all the holidays so I have a lot of stuff!

Working on decluttering my art studio- feel relief when everything has its place and materials not being used can go to charities so others may enjoy/use them!
Hi Catherine, this is so wonderful decluttering.My niece was chatting about the Netflix show. Yes I am doing the same and you’re right about thinking before you buy. My area is dining room plus electric cupboard. I find those hangers that consist of round circles are useful for scarves plus tights or other then you can see at a glance what you want to wear. You have accomplished so much and are so encouraging. Wow it has me thinking how to be organised about everything. I am reducing plastic as much as I can. Due to formaldehyde content. I bought those long hanging hangers and put my shopping bags on. B and M and home bargains for the others.It is easier to get into routine. So I am busy tomorrow for definite. I like the way towels are folded and face cloths to . The you tube person used to be called pink so foxy and she has a lot of tips on her old videos.Much love to you Blondie plus Pepsi.xxxLooking forward to your next upload.

WOW! This WAS very surprising! We don't have closets like that in the US that I've ever seen. I have to admit, I'd be kind of afraid to put anything in a closet like that with all of those pipes. But, that is what you have, and you did an excellent job with it ! tfs 🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺

@@DaintyDiaries Yes we have small spaces, we call them Utility Closets. They are very common in older homes. Reminded me of growing up when seeing this video, especially when you placed your Ironing Board next to the Fridge. My Mom kept hers there too. TFS as always, Blessings X

I also live in a bungalow (in Wales) like you space is limited and my hubby says I can fit a square peg into a round hole, I hide my ironing board behind full length curtains in a bedroom, every cupboard we have is full, but I have to have them tidy, I treat them as if there is no door and that way everything looks nice when I actually open the door, you did a great job making use of the tiny spaces, and if you're like me I bet you kept looking them over with great satisfaction.

This is a job I have got to do in the next few days 🤦🏻♀️ airing cupboard, there is so much that needs to go, I’ve also made a small attempt at de cluttering my kitchen but needs a lot more sorting. I love how you have painted your fridge/freezer and will b looking into that. I’m like you, my clothes really need sorting but they will be left until last.
