On my gameplay I got 3 of our fatty fellers and Caiatl making a circle and they were sorrounding a Tormentor and stomping his ass to dead it was so fucking awesome
I have to say, one of my favourite moments in the campaign was running desperately from an Imprint of Nezarec in this encounter, struggling to take it down and finally turning towards the other... only to find that Caiatl and her forces had already whittled it down to pretty much nothing.
Also seeing them tear through Caiatl's forces when given the chance makes them horrifying. I remember hearing the tormentors appear and watching them just slaughter the front line of Cabal. Then Caiatl face tanked them until more showed up because she's a badass.
The whole arena and background brings a lot of Halo memories of rooms full of brutes and covenant tanks. The only thing missing is the guardian dying with silly physics like in Halo
As a die hard fan of the Cabal, I love this mission and this soundtrack. I absolutely shit myself when Caiatl and her forces came to assist us when we were outnumbered. Just fighting side-by-side with them is the best thing that could ever happen to me. Dream come true ❤❤❤❤
Yes know i hope to have a social space for the cabal like with the eliksni quarter in the last city but with the cabal, like the flagship of Caiatl or Saladin cruiser, i hope that with the return of Savathun next season Caiatl will intervine.
Totally agree. That moment where we hear caiatl during the campaign for the first time is one of my favorite moments from the campaign. Heck, I think all of the scenes with Caiatl are my favorite.
Caiatl and Calus were the best parts of the campaign. I feel like the reaction to Calus' portrayal was mainly because of the shortcomings of the rest of the campaign
One of the best gameplay sections destiny has ever had. It lived up to the music’s size easily. Using strand to whip around the arena, using the grapple to fistfight tormentors while teetering around 1hp. Phenomenal stuff.
When I heard this theme while playing this mission I felt like I was unstoppable. I felt like I was enraged, empowered, strengthened Just like how the doom slayer is fighting demons in hell and Earth. Also part me was a little distracted just listen to the music. Sometimes I just sat there and watched Caiatl and her forces fight against the shadow legion. It just felt like Destiny.
This fight reminded me of when you defend that final area off the side of the Highway in Halo 3: ODST. Had heavy Halo vibes in this battle, it was so good. Cabal Civil War? Hell yes.
I've been putting off listening to this track in particular for a while, just doesn't come into my normal mix of Destiny tracks I listen to often. But now that I've gotten around to it, I can safely say this is one of the absolute best tracks I have ever heard in D2. The different motifs blend seamlessly together, and that heroic Cabal Stomp is nothing short of incredible. The music team never fucking misses.

Using the orbital laser to evaporate ads is one thing, but dealing out punishment with my bare hands is equally satisfying. Especially when throwing hands right next to caiatl and her ascendant guards. Man that was amazing
@@synchronicity23218 Hmm, true, true. I remember helping a friend through the campaign, and having strand empowered with shackle nades basically gives you infinite grenades. Suspending literally every enemy in the arena gave an unparalleled amount of joy that no orbital laser could replace. -Also, very happy no one pointed out that the orbital lasers are disabled during the section where this theme plays. Would've been pretty embarrasing for me if someone called that out-
I didnt even use the orbital laser on the tanks, just proc sunbracers and dump 4-5 solar nades on each. So many adds you can basically infinitely sling space magic.
“Guardian, if this is our day to die, we shall be immortalized in legend forever!” Is the most badass line in the entire game
Watching Caiatl and her royal guard curb Stomp a Tormentor to death was the highlight of the entire campaign for me

I liked the whole fighting with your allies moment. Also enjoyed the easy tormentor target after crunching my own.

Say what you want about the story but the gameplay and location are legendary
Bruh struggling with tormenters
@@spicy518you definitely played normal duo legend tormentors aren’t easy to kill on day 1 and took coordination
4:24 The heroic version of Cabal Stomp motif really activates neurons within me.
Strongly agree, love hearing it when Caiatl makes an appearance to kick ass
That leitmotif has come such a long way, it's beautiful.
WE ARE CABAL! WE EAT THE MOUNTAINS AND DRINK THE SEAS!
This part actually felt like I was fighting for something that mattered, fighting for my life, fighting for my friends...
Damn right.
This felt like playing a really good Halo mission, good job Bungie.

Really wish we got more of this melody. Definitely one of my favourite audio cues we've gotten out of this game.
Melody definitely feels like its 'Caiatls theme'
love it
vaguely reminds me of the helm theme
really good. Light getting completely overwhelmed with darkness
@@MochaLatte2342 I've thought of Caiatls theme more as 4:24 than 0:48
@@sneaklone_ Yeah I went onto that thought a good while ago in another reply section
3:03 I love that Inner Light’s motif plays here. I’m hoping the trend of it showing up at least once per expansion continues in Final Shape.
iirc it does show up in TFS
for example, go to approximately 1:30 in “Ritual Site”

I’d love it if we got the Eramis boss theme. That’s another good medley I wanna see come back.
Fallen Empire is a banger
Playing this music while hunting down the Bots in TF2's Bot Crisis. Fits really well
The fight that makes you feel like holding this line matter.
Love isn't always on time
If you never used the orbital laser to annihilate the ads and only ever used it on the tanks, then you are a *fool*
In my defense, I got headshot by one of the bastards so I sorta grew a grudge against them.
