A friend kindly shared this episode. I was a member of the Debtones. We didnt win but the memories are worth far more than we could have received. Didn't realized this was available. What a blessing!!
When I was fifteen I auditioned and was selected to be on the show. I was ecstatic but two weeks before my appearance I received a letter that said the show was going off the air. This was going to be my big break and I was devastated.
And all of the years that I have been doing this, this is the only Ted Mack film I’ve run into. I hope one day Harry I run into your episode. Thank you sir for watching.
I never get tired of hearing stories like this. You made my day Jaki Ross. It is for folks like you that I began doing this years ago. Have a great week.

This is funny I haven’t thought about this Film for a while, but I should have because right now I am narrating a book for a fellow that was on the Ted Mac amateur hour. In fact, it’s part of the book. I should send him a link to this. Thanks for watching.v
Originally telecast (in color) on March 23, 1969, as spring had just arrived, and New Jersey's Garden State Arts Center [PNC Bank Arts Center] had opened in June 1968.
Thank you Barry I didn’t want to say anything. I get a little touchy about this kind of comment. LOL I put a lot of work into this stuff and sometimes I feel people just don’t appreciate it. Thanks again
You're welcome. I know you put a lot of effort into your posts. I'm just saying that kinescope quality usually varied from source to source [35mm prints were superior to the 16mm variety].

I’m so happy you were able to see this. Your very fortunate, this is most likely the only existing copy of the film. Thank you for watching

Good show. He looks like he was a nice and sincere person.
The drummer in the Sambas is GREAT!
Thank you for uploading this! Joe Goloff is my uncle and it is so crazy cool to see him owning the banjo at such a young age!

@@fromthesidelines Wow! The bad film-quality makes it look like it was from the 1940s!
Some black and white kinescopes of "live" and taped shows looked that way.
