Seems like an unpopular opinion from the comments I'm reading, but I think they did the right thing by switching the title theme. I'd always click past the title screen pretty quickly because, despite it being calm, the title music made me feel a little on edge, which helped set the tone for the game. Then later, hearing Mari play the song on piano, it clicked in my head that it was the same as the title theme, and finally I understood it's significance. And once you beat the final boss and the menu repairs itself, my god that's enough to send anyone into tears. This isn't a bad song but I don't think it could be used to obliterate my feelings on multiple occasions like the one they eventually chose to use.
I still remember the first time I heard Mari’s song. It was really cool listening to what I was used to hearing, but more..complete. I immediately thought it was beautiful. It was a really nice setup and payoff I didn’t expect, and the song itself is one of my go-to calm songs. I think “Remember Me” could’ve fit *somewhere* in the game, but the title theme wasn’t the right place. The fact that you hear it every time you boot up the game, just to hear the “fixed” song later in the game and at the end of your journey..it means so much more than what’s arguably a better song without that context. (Also, not sure if this was intended or not, but I heard this for the first time before going to sleep for the first time on Two Days Left. I didn’t investigate though, and I was disappointed that I didn’t until hearing the song playing again after waking up. Just wanted to add that.)
@@AllToastersToastToast defo agreed, honestly i believe it could fit for thehikkamori route title screen after you reseted headspace it be fitting to get a different menu theme which replaces the perfect piano of mari with either a headspace variation of the paino or this theme (to represent sunny repressing more memories with perfect versions of his friends which we see him do with the photo album and headspace mari) or get a more melancholic version of this song or mari playing the piano (which honestly would be sad knowing spirit mari is prob in absolute despair seeing her brother succumb to his something and never moving on)
Huh now woulda know I was expecting a comment like this but at the same time I was worried no one had mentioned it so props to you also that song brings me tears in my eyes :']
Adding such a hopeful and just ethereal and genuinely magical tone to the white space theme which is typically so monotonous and devoid of any emotion just hits so hard. It truly makes me think of Mari and just her uncanny and undying ability to completely light up the world of all the people she’s around. It makes you feel even more for the characters who lost her, who lost this feeling when she wasn’t around anymore, it’s heart breaking. But at least they found it again. SCREW YOU OMOCAT FOR MAKING SUCH COMPELLING CHARACTERS AND SUCH A COMPELLING GAME
Why not make a mod where after you beaten OMORI, the unused cutscene labeled Mari's Request where mewo goes to somewhere and possibly leads to Ghost/Spirit/White-Space Mari to request Sunny to move on and forgive yourself alongside this song?
" it's isn't easy for you to keep something up . " . May be Mari try to teach sunny about how to be patient but he didn't make it through . She should have realised it earlier
i actually liked how the title menu changed after you get the good ending because it just shows how sunny finally accepted maris death and partially forgave himself. i think that the song they used for that worked really well with the idea :D (hope this makes sense)
ive seen people make an OMARI au and i think this would be such a fitting song for that title screen (if anybody is even making that mod dear god i hope so i want an excuse to download omori again after uninstalling it whenever i got 100%)
everyone saying that this should have been the title after the ending but imma say, black screen, rolling credits, and this song fit well, especially with the scenes of the memories, depending if you go on the sunny or omori route, it could either be a memory from real world, or the same meory but in headspace.
Exactly tho lol. Its the loading screen and the title screen for OMORI SANDBOX :3, tell me if i missed any other areas where this beautiful piece plays in the game.

That is very beautiful, but i still think that new version of title soundtrack is still better. Though this could be fit better instead of Sugar Star Planetarium (i like this soundtrack but still).

@@partygamingz3332 I would like to say the maybe it would be better if the song played during Memory Lane that’s my opinion.

This comment is such a MOOD.
take me to the timeline where this song is in the game
it’s an unused ost from 2014!
@@claires1386 yeah i know lol
Should have been the title theme after the ending honestly

Такая счастливая мелодия!! Очень жаль, что ее даже в игре не было... она обязана быть в меню после хорошей концовки >_
The White Space theme... Amazingly beautiful
I'd like this to be the title theme once you got the good ending

Nah, i rather listen to do you remember after getting the real ending
I agree, this would’ve been great music but Do You Remember is good too because it’s nostalgic
X2@@togekiss09
But I also wanted to see some stuff with violín, like sunny already forgive himself
had no idea this was the 2014 title screen theme. that’s pretty cool!
Sometimes I wish omori was a happy game
it is if you stay in headspace
@@SnrubSource No it's not 🤣If you do that basil k*lls himself.
@@YourSuzerain sunny never knows that though, since he stays in headspace and never opened the door to kel
@Snrub Doesn't change the reality, it's not all about Sunny's POV in my opinion.

I think an OMARI au title them should just be the same but with violin swapped with piano
so beautiful. i got watery eyes for the first few listens
this should have played after you get the best ending.
This song resonates with my soul.
this old title, is literally a BANGER..

so that's where white space's theme came from
It's most likely the other way around, admittedly.
Very reminiscent of To The Moon, which would make sense since it came out around when this was being developed
This feels more like an ending theme than a title theme, but it's still beautiful nonetheless.
the white space theme destroyed me. crying an actual river rn
have yet to hear a bad omori song
CRYIGNRMM THANK YOU FOR THIS
this is my sleep music
Also mine yey
It's significantly more "alive", contrasting White Space.
Sounds like a mix between the omori main theme and bo ens sometimes
omori sandbox players right now
Exactly tho lol. Its the loading screen and the title screen for OMORI SANDBOX :3, tell me if i missed any other areas where this beautiful piece plays in the game.
gives me to the moon vibes
When you play omori sandbox too much and recognise the theme.

aww so cute 😢
Different, but pretty damn good overall.
Could have been put into the game, if there were found a place for it.
