Love hearing you reflect on your process! Excited to catch up with the serie and hope I have some good advice at that point. Keep up the good work! 👍💪👌
You can fix most of your glove-down problems with your eyes. Just like a car, just like a bike, look and fixate on where you want to go when you initiate the slide; you will slide to that place. If you want your slides to go more straight then look straight down the road when you initiate the slide. You do this at 2:49 by looking at the side of the road and then sliding there. That's why that 'flop' didn't work, you are looking straight down at the ground so that is where you ended up. You can improve your stand-up initiation, similarly. You are right about needing to put more weight on the front , but you should also look, more sharply, at the sides of the road. Looking turns your eyes, head, neck, shoulders, hips all the way down to your feet. If you do this at the top of a slide initiation, with your weight leaning forward, you will slide.
Watched your video a second time. There are alot of hiddin tips and tricks in it. Sure your learning it yourself but there is some really good info i can use myself.
I'm recovering from a shoulder injury I got while practicing heelside slides right now. Best of luck on your progression! After I heal up, I'll be following in your footsteps!
Yeah I just practice in an empty car park because I don't want people to watch me fall over; somehow there's always at least one person just sitting in their car for like 45 minutes while I practice though.
Your knees are pointed straight up. They should be folded over so your rear foot is completely sideways on the deck with your front foot more vertical. This will shift your weight automatically.
I feel that bro, people watching can put you off 😂. I find blasting tunes through my earphones and zoning in helps a lot

Thanks man - yeah I need to remember this for next time
@@JimmyCruise Think about kneepads. Early on, knees get scraped a lot and each minor injury means a lot of downtime and ending sessions early.
Really like to watch you progress. I am afraid myself to try and slide my comet. But you inspired me to make me try it one day.
@@open_ogen9 Appreciate it, and good luck mate

Obviously an agent of the matrix
Hi mate, where did you get your comet cruiser from? I’m in the uk too and don’t really want to pay too much for import tax lol
different wheels would make this a lot easier you should try out powell peralta snakes or Dragon Formula wheels those are amazing for sliding
Those are snakes. If that is the og set up which it looks like to me

You need knee and elbow pads.
