If it had pro-motion l would give strong consideration for the regular 15. But having the 120hz the last two years has spoiled me.
I had the 13 pro max. But sold it for the 15 plus and I stopped noticing the slower 60hz after a few minutes. What I like about it, it’s probably the smoothest 60hz you can get which is why I don’t feel like they needed to upgraded .

120 hz display sometimes makes me feel dizzy. Also it drains battery faster that’s why I am getting 15 plus.

I bought the pro yesterday and been using it non stop and still haven’t had to charge battery. Maybe update fixed the battery issue that people were talking about before.
iPhone setting is extremely important, it affects the battery life significantly. I Turn off True Tone, no colour filters, my battery life turns a lot better compared to when they are turned on
Isn't it funny how people never complained about 60Hz on iPhone 12/13/14 but when 15 gets a little closer to pro models, they want that as well. Apple marketing wouldn't allow it - it would make the Pro models fail.
It’s not that. It’s just that we’re in 2023, and 120hz has pretty much become the norm, even on a lot of lower end laptops, phones, displays. It’s not an expensive technology either.
Could have given it at least 90hz if they wanna keep "promotion" for pro models only.

@ 2:00 - This is not the case, they didnt only start doing 128GB as the lowest config last year, The iPhone 12 was the last main iPhone that had a 64GB base storage option. The iPhone 13 onwards has had 128GB as the lowest storage option.

The footage from the back camera was way tooooo good, like we know that iphones are in the lead in terms of camera quality and video specifically but this footage genuinely suprised me. The fact that this kind of quality comes from the iphone 15 base model is even more incredible and alot of content creators don't show how good it actually is. You did great with this video bro🔥

Very nice review. I used to be the guy who upgraded phones every year almost. Now I've been rocking the iPhone 12 since launch and I've been debating getting the iPhone 15 plus, but I was really hoping to see the 120hz move to the base models. I get why they didn't do it, but as you and many others have said, it's 2023 and for an $800+ phone it feels like it's missing. Still unsure about pulling the trigger on this. Regarding the colors though, I can't help but feel they've taken their cues from the car industry. Safe conservative colors rule the road. Now they've trickled into the iPhone lineup.

Been rocking my iPhone 12 as well until last November 2023 in which I’ve upgraded to iPhone 14 ProMax for the reason that I would like to get the 120hz once and for all and it’s really a game changer. The smoothness when you scroll is so different. I have been debating to get the iPhone 15 as well back then but also got the realisation that for a $1000+ (atleast in our country), I think we should be enjoying at the very least a high screen refresh rate, in which some way cheaper android phones can already provide. I guess I will go back to non-pro iPhone if it already has 120hz, for the meantime I will enjoy my 14PM for the next 4-5 years. 🙂

I am honest most people still buying older iPhones or most people love to keep their older iPhone longer my teen girl cousin still have her IPhone 11 she is not upgrade to a new iPhone anytime soon

2:00 actually, this started 2 years ago with the 13 series. The base iPhone 13 started with 128gb. The last 64gb iPhone (besides SE’s) was the 12.
For someone that is not a content creator and doesn’t care about 60hz or flare on the selfie camera, is the 15 plus a good buy? Is the flare issue only on the selfie camera or on the main camera as well?

Coming from the s23 ultra with a 120hz display, buying the base model iphone 15 left me no regrets. Don’t notice the 60hz display and honestly on my phone all day for technology department last me the whole day until i go to bed and charge it again.

prob not.. 13+ is too similar.. They're some clear differences but unless you got plenty of money to spend its prob worth waiting another year or two.. USB C is great "add" though no doubt.. feels good..

I'm considering upgrading from my iPhone 11 pro to the iPhone 15. The x2 simulated zzom using the larger sensor sounds like it might make up for the zoom lens of the iPhone pro. I'm already used to a 60 HZ screen. I haven't held one in my hand yet, but I understand the edges of the iPhone 15 are more rounded then those on the 12-14. Also, I like the blue color.
Totally agree with this. I was thinking about going to a pro but I don’t like the thickness of it and honestly, unless you get the pro max you’re only missing out of ProMotion (120hz). Not getting the pro max because it’s WAY to large of a phone considering I use a 13 mini currently :)

Based on my experience with the 2x zoom feature... IT TAKES BETTER PICTURE AT 2x zoom, than my S22 with 3x optical zoom! ;) So it def. worth it!

It’s worth it 100%, I recently upgraded from an Xr to a 15 plus and all I can say it’s so much better in every single way possible.

Absolutely man,I used pro and non pro there is hell of a difference and as people say if u switch to 60 after 120 after few days it will appear Normal,that's a lie ,you will always notice that difference
I love my 15 Plus but so slippery without a case. I got some leather skins from Dbrand so hopefully that resolves my @i hate cases” issue.
The Wife's 13 Pro rarely sees below 70% at the end of the day, but it does have overheating issues. It always has. So did my 8+ and my friends' older iPhones.
I left Apple because of this & switched to Samsung. If I'm spending over $1000? I expect my phones to be feature packed & last all day maxed out in 2023!
I still have not figured out everything my S22 Ultra has to offer me in Sept. 23 & I've had it since its release date! That's feature packed. I can figure everything out on an iPhone in a day or 2.

Coming from an Iphone 11 pro, I got a regular 15 (preferred the longer battery, I don't care about the 60hz display, which is actually one of the best displays I have seen, and the third camera is not necessary for me either). I also had a 120hz amoled display in my former realme gt master edition, but when I changed my device I didn't really miss the 120hz; better colors, more brightness, and a better experience overall.
So are we buying cameras with Internet access or smart phones?

I think unless you’re going to constantly be using the pro features on the cameras, regular 15 is the way to go this year.

Apple has been starting with 128gb storage since the iPhone 13 line in 2021 not just since last year.

They might pull out a new color in spring as they already did with the green 13s and yellow 14. Considering they didn’t make a red one this year might be in that color direction, but is not a certainty
6” is sweet spot for most people as one hand useable device, anything bigger starts to get unwieldy an you have to juggle phone around in hand to use one handed
But not everybody is bothered about using the phone with just one hand.

Fold 5, or 15 plus? 15 plus is undefeated in battery but my Fold 5 I can make it through a day no issue.

Think the island looks worse than the notch as it stands out more than the notch - yeah the notch is not that great but it does not sit lower than the island- still gonna sit and wait and see what the s24 brings to the table at the start of next year in the mean time I will just stick with my iPhone 13 model which still runs perfectly well.

Depends on if you’re happy with the weight of the 14 Pro Max. It’s super heavy. A better phone for sure, with the same chip but an additional telephoto lens and a pro motion screen. But it’s super heavy, which is very noticeable in every day use. Try it in store.

im only getting iphone 14 pro for the purple colour as im getting older i see no purpose in using my phone other than listening to music and texting. iphone 14 pro doesnt have the best battery but at the same time im introverted not really going out so if i need that extra battery life i will invest in a battery bank.

No, exactly why you use it mostly for social media the plus having a bigger display would be perfect, since the only difference between the 15 and the 15 plus is display size and battery. Unless you meant the pro/pro max, then is a different story.
The bigger Plus screen is great for social media TBH. And the battery is amazing, best of all of them. But try it in store, it’s heavier, that a downside IMO.

The first time i use device that have high refreshrate was when using an old ipad pro. Wow. It feel smooth af and my phone at that time do look slugish in 60hz. I can tolerate 90hz, but a straight 60hz just look and feel bad to me. Apple silicon can do so much more, and by makin it only 60hz is like puting a tesla with a hard coded speed limiter.
Once you feel high refresh rate in smartphone, every phone will seem slow without one.
Using an iPhone 13 and been using iPhones for years since the iPhone 3GS. And I can count on 1 hand how many times I’ve plugged my phone into a computer since airdrop launched.

@@valismind I’ve airdropped 4K cinema movies to my iPhone, with no issues. Did a marvel phase 3 marathon, zero issues doing transfers over airdrop.
Bought both and gladly returned 15. The screen looks watched out . Also, I find weirdly calls and Audio sounds better on 15 pro. Don’t care much about Promotion.

The 14 Pro all the way, as it has an additional telephoto lens and a much better pro motion screen, yet the same chip as the 15. But try and hold them in store to see what feels good in the hand too. The 14 Pro Max is super heavy, the 14 Pro isn’t as heavy but still more heavy than the 15.

I always joke in the office about my phone being more powerful than the company PC 😅😂😂😂 but it’s the truth. My phone has 2gb more of rams and the A16 has more power than that metal box under my desk 😂😂 my monitor has never seen 4k resolution, probably not even 1080p lol

At this point, I’d rather have AOD instead of 120hz on the base models. If I had to choose one. Standby is an amazing feature that is pointless on the base models.

60hz on the iPhone just "seems" a bit better because the screen is relatively tiny compared to others out there. 60hz is a lot more problematic on the iPhone 15+. 60fps is 60fps.
It’s pixel response time is quite good. I think another reason is that if you tried low power mode on the Pro/ Max, because it’s an LTPO display, it actually doesn’t feel as smooth as a panel that is just 60Hz.
Also, while you can use FPS and Hz interchangeably, they’re not the same thing. For example, something running content at 120fps with a display that’s 60Hz is going to have a lower response time.

It’s a major upgrade from the 13th gen and earlier. Not worth it to go from a 14 Pro.

I’m a welder and I believe the IPhone 14 pro is a solid build. Titanium is a difficult metal to work with vs heat. The iPhone 15 pro have amazing specs but the iPhone 14 pro has a better build and is a very solid computer phone. My opinion don’t upgrade the iPhone 14 pro will prove it’s very capable and one of Apple’s most durable phones.

The Samsung S23+ took me away from iPhone 13ProMax. *To be honest, both the S23 and iPhone 15 are technological marvels. I remember my first flip phone and thought I was Captain Kirk for heaven's sake.......
S23+ is solid. Samsungs been killing it.
Just imagine a Mobil game developer who would make a game only the iPhone 15 Pro could run correctly. That would be a miserable fail as a technical point of view and probably commercially too.

the only real reason i went with the iphone 15 pro instead of the base model when i upgraded from my 11 is because i've been spoiled by using 120 hz on my computer for the past 5 years, i couldn't justify getting a new iphone that only has a 60hz screen when i could get a similarly spec'd android phone with a 120hz screen for the same price. i almost ended up switching to android but tmobile enticed me with a free apple watch to stay with apple.
1:28 no it's not lol the 8 gen2 had way faster gpu and runs cooler, and the the 8 gen3 is already out so yeah A16 / iPhone 15 doesnt even stand a chance anymore which is typical as the S23 smoked the iphone 14 earlier this year and same thing will happen with S24/i15 as long as samsung doesnt fck up the formula.

Yeah, 15 plus has unbeatable battery. Personally, the 14 pro is a good phone but the amount of issues I’ve had with it made me absolutely hate it.

Yeah fair enough, don’t think it’s a big deal for a lot of people. Just that the tech is cheap enough to where it should have been included.

I'm thinking of upgrading from my 13 mini to the iPhone 15. Is the size difference a deal breaker? I'm more concerned about the battery life since my mini barely makes it through the day with regular use (no gaming or videos).
@@davecamposarcone5048 I'm happy with the size of the 15. It's only 31 grams heavier than the 13 mini. Battery life on the 15 is better than the 13 mini too. I have no regrets about making the jump from the 13 mini to the 15.
For once, the base iPhones are worth it.
And as for the 120Hz controversy, I wouldn’t need a Pro iPhone if the base models had a 120Hz display.

have Premium Phone Segment. 😂

To me 120hz doesn’t matter, I’d rather have the 3d lens and a couple of things missing like macro, night portrait and aod. All the other pro features are useless to me. I need an iPhone M, sort of an equivalent to the 13” mbp, just a bit more but not all of it

Pro are the only iphones worth getting. Base ip is literally comparable to medium range android with higher price. Huge af bezels, 60hz and used materials are ridiculous in phone priced like that.
