I wish we had snooker tables where I’m at. Always a pleasure learning about it through your videos though. (Alec from Denton Texas.)
Have had to post this sad story also. But am even worse probably in a relatively rural spot in Ontario. There is a billiards hall with plenty of tables for billiards & pool in the city where I'm from. I really wish the early Canadians could have helped get snooker going in a lot of places here... but each sport & all of the people who play them are all individual beasts. There isn't figuring any of them out easily.
@@justincronkright5025 there are a few snooker places in Toronto

Hello I am from Sofia Bulgaria love your vids hope i have progress
I enjoy your videos and all the good advise, hints and tips you add to it. :)
Can I send a video of one of my best shots under pressure on an amateur tournament? I needed the black to level up and force the match into a decider, but the black wasn't obvious to take on.
On the other hand I'm curious if you'd manage to recreate the shot.
Of course it’s probably just easier to post it on UA-cam and then send me a comment to tell me it’s there until I actually see it because I don’t see all of the comments anymore. Just don’t post a link otherwise it will remain hidden
@@Breakfromlife
Thank you for your speedy response :)
This video is actually on the UA-cam already. (Szatmari Tibor vs Dumitras Dan).
I am 0-1 down on a best of 3 match and the shot comes at 28:16 .
I look forward to hear your comments and until then I keep watching your brilliant videos.
Greetings from Marrakesh, Morocco
Greetings from Mönchengladbach, germany. Coud you show the exact differenzes between a Club-Table and a Pro-Table and maybe give some tipps to kompensate while performing difficulty shots? Love your Channel!
Much love from Herndon, Virginia, US.
I don't even play snooker but I enjoy your channel. I don't know how your snooker level relates to my pool level but if I could presume to give some advice for power draw /screw -
Do you have a training ball or any snooker ball with a mark on it? Position the mark so that it's halfway between the center and the bottom of the ball, target that with your tip. chalk up plenty. After trying the heavy screw shot, look to see where your chalk mark is on the white. If it's on target then perhaps your table is just slow after all. But if it's higher, you may be allowing your cue tip to rise in an effort to power the ball, and therefore getting less action. The chalk will tell you if you're hitting where you wanted.
I suspect this is the issue because your stick keeps lifting in the air after the stroke is done and you may subconsciously anticipate that. See if you can still hit the ball hard but have the tip finish on the cloth.
If you're really trying your absolute maximum screw then you should be willing to hit dangerously low and you should be jumping the cue ball occasionally in your attempts. Not that I recommend playing that low, but for a single exhibition type of shot you can try it just to see what your miscue limit is.
Definitely the straight screw shot is the hardest... Perfect cueing is required, the power only makes it harder still... I would love you to recreate some long drag shots, which are supposedly the hardest shots possible.. Perfect cueing, the ability to read the nap of the cloth and a deftest of touch and feel...
The ball spinning on the jumping red ball is because the ball hopped and bounced off the back of a pocket at an angle that kept it spinning forward as it fell back. To replicate that shot you must aim down at the cue ball as in a jump shot to hop the red on contact
Thank you for the mention on your channel. What is your name and are there any videos of you playing matches.
Great
You have fans from Greece too!! (Athens)!!
Hiii
I love ur videos

Awesome video....would love a full size table of my own. Oh well, will just have to wait for my club to reopen after lockdown
Could you make video on difference between professional table hole size and parlour tables
The pocket cut on these tables are not as difficult as you would first think ,they are quite small to look at but accept the ball on a new cloth very well ,however as the cloth on the bed and cushions wear the pockets become slightly harder and do not slide in the same ,and take in to consideration that the pro's do not play on a cloth that is more than 3 days old ,you can see the advantage they have .My table has the pockets cut slightly over sized so when the cloth wears its still able to take a hard shot down the rail .The WPBSA do not release the official templates for the pro tables to anyone but Pete Godwin and his team of table fitters ,if you want a table with a pro pocket cut then World snooker would have to install and fit it .Cut of rubber ,heated slate and thin no 10 cloth all have a bearing on how the table and pockets play ,as to why the WPBSA don't realise official templates for the tables is a strange one ,maybe just maybe they are not as tough the commentators would have you believe ,either way most club tables do not play as difficult as the TV tables ,but as I said the pro,s have new perfect playing conditions always where as we do not .
