I noticed that a lot of you tuber hadn't figure out when she died because she died last year in the video. When it show the flashback to last Halloween she was actually alive when they met. And I'm guessing he hadn't seen her in a long time that this time which I think her ghost found him which led him to finding her. But remembered how at the end she was still holding on the "you found me" the wrapper was from where she met the boy in the flash back and she was holding on to it because she remembered the boy and how they became friend before she died. That how you know in the video she died one year ago. It sad video but now she her sprit can be at peace.

She probably found one that said "I found you" and saved it for someone who could see her, and help her be found. When she was found, she finally left. My theory is similar to the others.

I agree with you. Kids with imaginary friends don't deserve to be 'fixed'. From personal experience, a kid should be brought to a counselor when a voice inside their head appears, starts to invade and poison their thoughts, berate them and make them cry for every little mistake and failure. Now this is a serious complex that should be treated early.
I always wonder how she really died, since there were rips in her dress. I assume it's safe to think she died of blood loss from the traps, but how could she run into so many that it would rip her clothing? It's absolutely terrifying.

When she lured him into the danger zone she wanted to to lead him to her body. She died because she got bit by a bear trap. She then bled out. In the first year they met you can see bite marks on her leg. And bear traps make teeth marks... So that's the injury on her leg when she got bit by the trap. In the ending when you can see her body, you can see a bear trap by her leg.
Long story short, she died on Halloween night the year prior before the boy first met her. Thus why she over reacts by hitting him during their first Halloween night, because she was startled by someone actually seeing her. During the first Halloween, she clearly leads him to the gate to the forest, but he ultimately runs off. She follows, stops, looks back, then continues to follow him. THUS SHE IS ALREADY DEAD first Halloween! Second Halloween rolls around and he's so excited to see her again because obviously, she only appears on Halloween night.
