Pro tip- weather strip cement works better than any tubular glue. I grew up on tubulars, lots and lots of experience with them.

Is chain retention an issue with the new shimano 12 speed group set up 1x? I would think the chain could drop easily without a clutch on the rear derailleur

I've been riding mtb's my whole life and its the first time I see a tire like this, so its like a tire and an inner tube all in one? and you have to glue it on? wth. if you get a flat do you have to tear it off, remove glue residue, apply new glue, put on new tire-tube, and wait for glue to dry? that is so impractical and time consuming

Its a tubular tire. Run sealant just like a mtb or road tire. Used for cyclocross races and can run very low tire pressure for those muddy courses if you race. Not really needed if you don't. Its a whole new tire if it fails and can cost some money to replace. Hope this helps
