Can we talk about Liuzzi hitting the recovery tractor? Insane that it took until Jules being killed for them to realize having that out there when cars are going round the track in the wet is a terrible idea.
It was really clever looking back.. I'm not entirely sure but I think as long as he stayed in the car and kept the engine running he was still in the race. It was absolute chaos at this point, I wouldn't be suprised if the stewards missed this entirely. I think they have changed the rules since then to 'no mechanical assistance' which is ANY physical assistance.
It didn’t kill you. Know the rules. He kept his engine running and didn’t exit the car so you can have assistance. BTW you’re very alive to hate another day.
The conditions were clearly too much for the intermediate tyres... but the people who were smart and used the Wet tyres were let down because those on the wrong tyres cause a SC/red flag and their advantage was removed. I hate it when teams and drivers get onto the radio to claim to the race should be stopped when they have deliberately chosen to be on a worse tyre for the conditions. The mentality of "as long as we don't fall off, we'll be the ones to get the advantage".
Raikkonen would have still won this race had his car not broken down. He was half a second quicker than both Alonso and Massa. Ferrari had a superstar in that car, that's for sure. Thank goodness MSC left.
Yeah, this season is probably one of the most entertaining ever. So many good races.
It’s personally my favorite season of all time. 2002-2013 was peak F1.
This was a great race the battle between Alonso and Massa was brilliant.
The thumbnails for these vids are beautiful
Thank you!
