Am I the only one who thinks the sprites for Sinus Infection and Common Cold should be swapped? Common Cold looks a lot more like the boogers that stick to enemies when you have Sinus Infection, and the plain green drop of Sinus Infection just looks like a poison tear.

One of the only synergies I’ll take pop for is with tractor beam. The tears keep bouncing off each other at a rapid rate that propels them really fast. This is even stronger with continuum as the tears just keep lingering and getting pushed around.

Ngl pop is great in Exactly One Scenario, and that scenario is having homing tears. Spoonbender is already goated on a normal run but in a pop run it's quintessential for helping those tears that miss their mark find a home in an enemies body
Just did a Greed run with Eden, started with Pop and ended up getting Sacred Heart. Indeed, it was fantastic. I managed to get Almond Milk and quite a bit of damage ups too...
Why?! Why didn't you stay in the Floor 2 devil deal to fight the 2 enemies for a chance to get a bomb? Ack! Also, sucks you couldn't Dead Eye. Would've been a good chance to call this episode Dead Pop.

DUNK RATING Happy Tuesday Moshpit! Hope the week is going well for you all. Let's see if this run Pops off. Start Damage is a bit low, everything else is within the margin of meh. Dad's Key is nice early on & Pop...well it's Pop. Floor 1 Tiny Planet is ...okay look, there is a 0% chance Sin was going to take it but you can do some weird stuff with it & Pop, if your tear rate gets high enough you can create a tear traffic jam & have infinite tears. I do not recommend it, it doesn't make either of them good, but it is a "synergy". Buying Black Candle from the Shop is always a sign the run will be better. Marbles isn't a great floor 1 item, but flat file gives us some longevity. Floor 2 Dad's Key opens the boss trap room & Toothpicks is an amazing take, more tears is more gooder & as we saw shot speed does kind of counter Pop's downside. 120 Volt is a proper "there is no downside" item. Voodoo Head in the shop might be a take- Flat File does make them free- but we need money. A Key Shard lets us find Ultra Secret...but it takes bombs which we have none of. Little Horn does give us a damage up- but a dud devil deal what seals this floor. Floor 3 The curse room is funding us a bit. Common Cold in the item room does help with the kill speed a bit. Boss doesn't help & neither does the lack of deals. Floor 4 Dad's Key opening the Boss Trap room again gets us Binky- more tears is always great. Now, with an Angel chance this might be the time for Trisagion to shine- it combos extremely well with Pop. A gold chest Screws us- shot speed all but negating Pop's downside here. Glass Eye from the boss is a helpful damage up & Purity from the Angels. Sadly no Trisagion redemption arc- but hey, it's damage. Floor 5 PJs from the boss helps out on the health front & Immaculate Conception generates some great familiars. Pandora's Box in the shop- Sin is planning to hold it for Womb 1 for 2 boss items. It's a long shot, but it's a shot. Floor 6 God's Flesh in the Item room is not what we wanted here, but it helps? Car Battery in the shop doesn't do us anything right now, but it might. Polaroid taken. Floor 7 Sin does an Unboxing for...Soap & Underwear. I'll be real, I would have hit the womp womp soundboard there. The desire engine is running hot tonight. Small Rock shows up- our speed isn't saving us if we lose the Red Purity aura, so it goes in the bag. Tears Up from the boss, thanks game we're good. Stanley shows up just to laugh at Sin. Floor 8 We get swapped to blue aura, not as good as red but it's still dps boosting. It lives tags us so it's go fast time. Cathedral Since cathedral is going about as well as can be expected: To overcome the "I feel dumb" vibe Sin you just have to remember the words of Sun Tzu, "Do not kill the part of you that is cringe, kill the part of you that cringes." Chest Bloody Gust, Lead Pencil, & Lil Chad. Finally, some actual items. Lead Pencil & Pop is actually nuts. Sinus Infection shows up to provide a little more momentum. Scapular drops in to provide moral support. Box of Spiders does work with car battery, so that's something. Blue Baby goes down eventually. Also, I want to point out that we haven't gotten enough Soul Hearts to proc Immaculate Conception, absolutely nuts for a run that gave us racks of hearts early on. Final Verdict: 5/10. This runs serves to remind us all how many lines of code in the game are dedicated to disappointment.

But considering Sin seems to be Fiend Foliod out maybe he can try "Boss Butch" adds a bunch of new bosses who aren't completely unfair and for something very unique try "The future" mod adds a new floor with custom enemies and bosses and the boiler adds a third alternative for dross and downpour again with unique enemies and bosses! Maybe add the stranger mod adds a character that is more than a dozen in one!

I can’t say pop is a “good” tear effect, but I do think it can be a fun one

The way I remember PJ's gives 4 soul hearts is I think of each arm and leg on the clothes as a soul heart 😅
Pop, Lachryphagy, and Tech Zero makes an awesome combination!
