Nick, this couldn't be more timely and appropriate. Two days ago I reached out to a dealer in Florida regarding a 2018 Regal 28 Express. I was complaining to my wife about the subpar videos on the boat. I said, "This needs to be an Aquaholic video, but it's probably too small, and it's an American boat."
Today, the Benevolent Boating Deities sprinkle this perfectly timed gem into my recommended videos. This is perfect. Even the wife is *coughs* on board!
As always, thanks for the content - especially when it can be used as spousal propaganda.
Always a pleasure 🙂
Divine intervention 0:-)
Dont get me wrong...I love the million pounds ones..but seeing stuff like this makes me believe I can realistically buy a boat by the time I'm 40. I'd be VERY happy spending a week on there.
Absolutely agree, love seeing some of the cheaper boats.
Agree! It’s brilliant!
Love all the boats, but great to see the ones everage joe can buy 👍
Agree, something to look forward to as a posed to having to sell my house to buy a 20year old boat 😂
100% Agreed. I'm in my late 30s and looking for my first boat and this one looks promising.
what a smart little boat!!! first time I can really consider buying something. really smart!! Thanks as always!!!
Would be great if you could create a video about the different toilet systems that exist. Pros/cons/price/maintenance/upkeep/water disposal (sea/shore) etc. As always, love your stuff!
This boat is great! I couldn't believe there was a second double bed down there.
That's what has me interested in it. I want the smallest possible boat I could comfortably weekend with two couples on Lake Michigan. Small enough to be fun and easy, large enough to spend some time on.
@@charlieodom9107 I picked up a small block powered one from auction that was parked on the rocks with 28 hours on it 😆 The damage was 90%cosmetics and looked worse than it was so I practically stole the thing. But you're not kidding about the small block being anemic. I actually spoke to the salesman that sold it and he tried to sell the big block. But they went with a bow thruster and small block instead. But I had an older ATI Pro charger and they managed to sell me the pulleys, brackets and things needed to make it work and it's a totally new boat. I'm only running about 5.5 psi after the intercooler. But I've got an easy 400+ now. If I wasn't worried about the outdrive I'd turn it up more. But I've already got 3-4 mph over the 380 Volvo dp that the dealer had,so there's no real need.
Also if anyone is interested it's for sale in Cape May NJ. It's fully loaded and has a custom year old Myco aluminum trailer that hasn't been in the water yet.
I've got all the information from when seatow pulled it off the jetty, including several surveys, ins adjusters etc from before I got it and after. I also have tons of documentation on what was repaired and how etc. I've been in the business for 20 years and have nothing to hide unlike a lot of marinas.
Didn't think much of Regal boats 30 years ago but now thumbs up......they have come a long way. Nice boat !
Guy at my marina bought a new 35 Sport Coupe this year and I have to say, though expensive, these boats are on another level in this class. Nice to see a good tour of this more affordable alternative. Top review as always!
Thank you 🙂
This boat has some very clever space saving measures. I really like that the back cushions become the infill, saves a lot of storage space.
I am such a fan of Regal, I have a 97 lsr 2100. Thank you for this I never expected to see on across the pond :)
Great tour once again 👍🏻
I like the layout on this great for us as a family for long weekends or even if it’s just the two of us, well laid out and everything you need for time out, and last but not least it can be towed... perfect and a good make.... only thing I’d look for is a diesel version.....
A very nice smaller boat but still great for a couple to spend some time on and maybe a good weekend for four sleeping on board. Really like the layout of the cabin area really cool use of space.
Regal make some great value boats Nick well equipped and with a great level of equipment and speed. Thanks for posting this
Oooh nice the interior is surprisingly roomy on this one, I really like it. Could imagine it being a very cosy weekend for a couple.
Another great video Nick. I spend all yesterday watching older videos of yours. The youtube algorithm suggested your videos about 80% of the time, and I kept watching. I hope they pay you when people watch your videos more then once.
Compact and perfectly formed, beautiful.
Excellent tour as always, thank you. Take care and stay safe. 👍👍👍🛳🛥☠🚤⛴🏴☠️🚢⛵⚓😎
But enough about me... 😊
As a young man in my mid 20s, these boats over 100 000 are in my dreams .. boats that are affordable for the common man I enjoy far more watching. Even if the master cabin isnt up to par .. much love from Canada
That is a nice little boat. That is something I could almost use as a summer live aboard. An under the sun bathing platform it’s more like room for the engine, rather than engine room🤔. Thank for another nice review Nick
Awesome video Nick. Actually makes me think I could get a boat. Nice small one for the two of us
Nice one, affordable and fun. Not sure if I would feel comfortable trailering almost 30ft but good that it's possible. I am really enjoying these small boat tours. Thanks Nick. 😎
I love how efficient the use of space is in this boat.
For being only 28 feet, there's quite a lot to like about this boat! That second bed was a surprise, I have to say Thanks for another fine video, Nick!
Great Friday tour, thanks.
Reminds me of my first boat; a SeaRay 240, although it was a lot older and 'only' £12k!
I was impressed with the design of the sliding door doubling as steps to the bow and how it disappeared seamlessly when open; it gives confidence that a lot of thought went into the creation of this boat. Great boat for the price and another top rate presentation - take a toffee from the jar Nick!
Thanks Nick, that’s a great little boat. Nice spacious layout below decks. Neat 👍
Bet that V8 petrol is a bit thirsty though.
This must be the best value boat you presented on this channel, the quality of the helm area is insane, that leather all of those shiny bits are so classy 😍👌
Change of subject🙂
I've just noticed one of your camper tours is nearly at 1 million views in just a couple of months 👏👏👏 nice one Mr Nick. 👍
I know, incredible! A new one coming tomorrow.
Amazing how spacious it is for such a small boat, wow!
Minimalistic and nice Yachat Nick Sir... Impressive... You are even looking great..
oo look out marion
Nicely appointed little boat, great design features
Apart for the fact I would suggest having the hatch raise button in the bathing platform area to avoid the obstacle course of clambering over the raised hatch. It is a nice little boat :)
seems like a great boat for £100k. The hatch lift button up high where after the hatch is open, getting down to the bathing platform is really awkward seems like a silly oversight but apart from that very nice!
Well that’s a nice little/big boat. Seems huge. Awesome weekendah for sure! And under 100K wow! Thanks Nick!
Well, the nicely equipped 2021 model is over $200,000 in the US. Very nice boat as owned a 94' model. Own a 28' Express now.
Hi Nick, what a lovely little boat. If this was your first I’d be very happy, it has everything and I love the pull out steps to get the bow. I can just imagine a week away with our friends on there just chilling out, thank you
Really cool little craft Nick seems well thought out for her size and great tour as always mate thanks 👍🇨🇦
A very well laid out boat, beautifully presented by a very knowledgable man.
Keep on floatin'
Nick: "...or indeed, you can spend a week on this"
Me: "haha...nice one"
After the video: You are totally right again. There´s everything you need, to feel comfy and fed on this boat. Even a loo.
Well done and: as always thanks for the tour
Thanks for watching 🙂
Awesome, you looked at a boat I'm actually considering buying. Regal seems to make some very nice stuff from what I've seen.
@@charlieodom9107 I see this more on crownlines. But honestly every boat is hand made so it’s possible to come across a great & iffy put together boat for any brand
Hey Nick another great video and the owner has taken great care because the boat looks in excellent condition, Peace and good vibes to you and all
Thanks Nick, great example of a first boat. Keep these up, they are great to help potential buyers (like myself) for ideas about what to look for a first outing on the water!
Yes makes for a nice first new boat if you have $200k US. Otherwise look for something more modest. Regal boats are one of the best built boats of this type on the US market IMO.
Bonjour Jacques Le Sack! Maggie’s got the day off! Which is nice for her. What a great boat! Really lovely and a good price too. Very well appointed as you say. Thanks for the tour and have a great weekend!
Surprisingly amount of space on this boat. I really like this, and the price tag is not too scary. I would prefer a diesel engine tho. Cheers Nick.
I love how excited you get over things we take for granted like adjustable sunpad backrests!
A lot of bang for the buck! Looks fun. The interior is surprisingly big! Great little weekender, and great little tour! Cheers!
Absolutely stunning boat and excellent review!!!!!
I like that it gas a sink in the back. This is what you call a little cool boat
*Finally!* Stars are aligned.
My favorite boats brand and my favorite youtuber in the same video!!
Hi Nick. A nice looking boat, practical, welcoming interior and cockpit. Bit more money than expected. Very nice though for 2018. Yours is better. 😎 great walkthrough video thanks.
What a nice surprise this boat. Quite practical =, plenty of space and the bonus of a proper shower. The location of the button to open the engine bay seems like a bit an afterthought but you get quite a lot for your money for a boat that's only 2 ears old.
This is a really nice weekender or starter boat - just right in so many ways!
Nice well built boat with all the systems you need to spend a few days aboard - even many days aboard. Get yourself a trailer and tow it to the Med or Scandinavia or the Danube for international adventures - so many good choices.
These boats are super popular in my marina (US). I'd say this style of boat and Regal in particular are about half of the boats in my marina. Those rams for hatches/tables and sunroofs are always so slow on boats.
Lovely example at entry-level, Thanks for a great tour, Nick ... as always ;-)
Glad you enjoyed it!
I went and googled this boat to buy in Canada, they run 100k for a 2014 and up! Beautiful little weekender! Love the floors, the light color really opens it up
What a great little boat and quite affordable, great review Nick 👍
I love this-it has everything a couple of people would want on a long trip.
The value this boat offer is incredible! Also everything is thought nicely through.👍
One of these, maybe a few years older is definitely within my 'may be affordable when I'm older' budget! That's a very well appointed boat. Thanks for the tour as always Nick 👍
Nicely laid out boat. Thank you, Nick!
My pleasure!
Nice review. Its a pretty impressive little package for the price - very roomy feel to it
Last time I was this early I was still allowed to go to the pub.
I remember the pub. I had to stop going due to the restrictions. Nothing to do with covid, just mrs blue putting her foot down.
Mr Blue you should of said no I am going to the pub
What a tidy wee boat. Clever use of space.. happily spend a week on there. Great video as always Nick.. 🛥️🛥️...
Glad you enjoyed it
Very nice ! Clever use of space and nicely optioned.
What a fabulous boat, never heard of the brand before I don’t think but I am impressed!
Great head room in that cabin in the back. Very roomy. Wouldnt mind sleeping in there. Great little boat. I liked it.
Neat little boat, clever use of space. Not bad at all for trailerable unit. I’ll have to look them up, and see if they have a diesel option. Great weekender. As always, a great, and thorough Aquaholic tour. I love the variety of what you show us Nick.
Many thanks 🙂
The only channel I’ll stop whatever I’m doing and watch the video haha! I love me some Aquaholic
Awesome! 🙂
Very clever use of space 🤩nice looking boat 👍
Exceptional video as always Nick. Whilst the big boys are great for pure escapism and lottery win dreams, these are just about within reach of the great unwashed. Think any prospective owner would need a hefty budget for the fuel costs though!
I'm not usually a fan of little boats, but I do like this one,. It has everything you need for a weekend pottering about on the water and wouldn't break the bank either.
Well done. Now, I have a new boat class target for my own search. 👌🏻
Lovely looking boat. Great video cheers Nick for giving us the dream.
Glad you enjoyed it
Very nice, a boat that always catches my eye around this same price bracket is the Bayliner 315, if you get the opportunity to get on one of those it would be greatly appreciated to see 🙌🏻
Anybody who thinks this is a spacious boat for its size should check out the Bavaria 28 or 29 Sport. That boat is great! Nick you should definitely make a tour of one of them.
Thanks Nick
Fantastic to see some more affordable boats, thanks for showing us!
Oooh, love that I'm now seeing Galeon Yachts advertising before Nick's videos...
Smashing little boat Nick, quite like that. If I can’t bend things to the next level that is well worth considering. You have to be the best boat salesman on the water... and jetty... and dockside... and... 😂
You're very kind 🙂
The perfect Black Friday Offer - Outstanding boat and price and a great Thanksgiving talking piece
- Cheers Nick 🏆
Amazing videos.. I m not an active buyer but I have not missed a single video! Thank you very much Nick!Keep up the good work!
Awesome! Thank you!
I allways enjoy these boat reviewes
Glad you like them!
Fantastic little boat. Could easily do a week away. The petrol motor would put me off though.
An ointment can be so soothing, relaxing, comfortable - just like this boat. But look a bit closer and there is a FLY. "Waiter - what is this fly doing in my soup?" Waiter - "I believe it's the Dog Paddle, ma Lord." The engine access is a fly, dog paddling in the ointment, whilst mixing metaphors. Otherwise, it's a wonderful boat. Roomy enough to have guests. Cozy enough for a long weekend. Thanks Nick.
That’s a boat I could afford in the next few years. Really great looking boat. Thumbs up
3:40 Bahco tools. The owner knows his stuff :D
They should have designed the engine hatch to open the other way, for ease of access and for safety reasons, if your at sea and its abit rough, engine breaks down, your forced to access the engine from the swim platform area , not good. Been there done that
Yes, that would be a concern. I know it’s a 28 footer, but surprised at how tight the engine room is for space with a single engine. I have a Cruisers 280 with twin diesels and at 6.2 in height, there is plenty of room to get in and undertake cleaning & maintenance.
Otherwise, this boat is cracking, love the detail touches.
Excellent video as always Nick👍
That is a cool piece of kit good view.
Seems like excellent value for money 👌 I would love to own one of these.
As orhers have said, small boat tours rock.
Wow, they really have designed a LOT into a smallish boat. Sleeps 5 at a pinch, galley and wet head ! The only thing that would have been nice is more cold storage or even a bar frig but how to power ? A baby genset ? .... hey, how is the TV powered ?
Nice looking boat.
Quite a nice little boat, great job nick
Thanks 👍
I love that little boat!!!
Thanks. Cracking little boat!
This is a really complete boat!
I'd struggle clambering over that hatch to the engine bay with two dodgy hips and a pie belly.
I would have liked to see a quick hatch under the cushions. Also to access the rear storage have open the whole rear of the boat, not to keen with that.
Yeah, I don't get why part of the floor moves with blocking the area between the button and access. That button should be on the bathing platform or have a remote.
Looks very similar to the Bayliner Ciera 8. Great review im looking for a boat exactly like this
Very similar concept.
Nick, how dare you not show us the crew cabin! That's the fourth most important place on a boat! Obviously, the three most important parts are the triple gun turrets at the bow!
Thank you.. This is a very nice Boat. thanks again for showing it.
Glad you like it!
a bit strange, but I like it. It's neat seeing a bit of change
Nice little boat not sure about price tag sure you can more for your money, But cant fault it
