Hi! 😁
Hi! 😁
Hi
Hi
Hi mate, try our food we call egado and pork sizing.i hope you like it our food and you appreciate our Filipino dishes.cheers mate.
My favorite vloggers eating delicious food while im here intermittent fasting. Im so hungry now and i still have 5 hrs to go lol
@Son Jepherz
You are luckier, my 2nd day of dry fasting just started, then I stumbled on this video. I don't know if I can last a 3rd.
👏 commendations to lydia's lechon for the amazing hospitality. well done on the food introduction. very informative despite the number of dishes presented and time given. 👍👍👍👍👍
You all tried my favourite filipino food. That's the good things in the Philippines ,preparation of food is regional and they have their own especialties.
i echo that...in some instances the person explaining does not really know what he or she is explaining...at least ate manager knows her stuff LOL
jason flores, she is not ate manager. she is ate owner.
The sauce for kare-kare is not fish sauce (patis) but shrimp paste (bagoong).
Mali nga sya. 😂
You are right, not fish sauce, it is a shrimp paste!
Halatang hindi nagluluto si ate eh. Yaan nyo na. Haha!
Oo dba kaloka, pa bibo mali nmn fish sauce lol eme eme lng mga sinasabi. Ung nilaga literal to boil??! Chaka!! beef broth tawag kaloka c ate
@@DensDaPens i was thinking maybe she just got confused or nervous or baka naman never bothered to find out the English counterpart of certain ingredients coz nakasanayan na natin for it to be called that way
mike is the focus in food related vlog, nelly on camera duty.
switch roles with travel b-roll.. nelly with the beautiful scenic views, mike as the director =)
unbelievable ..mike knows what hes talking.,even the soup thats so simple not even a soup compared to european soups, man hope you enjoyed your meal
He is a food enthusiast.
Hello Mike & Nelly! I've been following you for the past few days and I love watching your videos and it's really nice to see you eating our local dishes and I love how you appreciate how you liked our country. I have so many videos of you to catch on. By the way I hope you can visit our place here in Bataan. I would recommend Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar and Vista Tala and Sinag Tala.
For the foods, please try out our famous "Bibingka & Puto Bumbong and Ube Halaya". They are sweets served especially on the Holidays--Christmas Season. And you should also try eating Fresh Lumpia it's a healthy Filipino dish made of mixed veggies with shrimp or ground porks served with a sweet, tangy sauce. And Kaldereta, Pancit palabok is also a must try. =)
You are always welcome in our country.... And thank you for promoting filipino food...Godbless...
The lady was really businesswoman-like. She's scary. 😁
If she were in Europe, she'd be asked to maintain space. Hehe, she's almost skin to skin with Mike.
well she means business, so better pay attention LOL
I like her. Very intelligent, charming, and has a sense of humor. She was very helpful to Mike & Nelly.
Medyo strikta ang dating. 😂
@@rado3880 i guess, it's her personality, that's all!
Guys thank you for appreciating our local dishes and being open minded, i really miss those food my wife used to prepare for me, now you made me miss my home country, working here in the states, you made it happen again more power
The owner dont know what is bagoong it is shrimp paste, then the sagot gulaman is tapioca and jelo with caramelized sugar. Btw Some history say Bicol express is came from the name of train that run through Bicol to Manila. Bicol is known for their spicy food that why it is called bicol express when i cook the coconut the longer i cook the thicker it get and the taste is more great because it will be more creamier and when the coconut caramilized it add sweetness on it but i dont over cook it the coconut will became oil
It seemed that "owner" didn't know what she was talking about. She didn't even know that laing was made of taro leaves. Smh.
Nelly is soo adorbs. Watching you guys warms my pinoy heart. Mabuhay kayo.
It's Shrimp or fish paste ( Alamang or Bagoong ) where she said to pair with Kare Kare. My German girlfriend loves Kare Kare so much but not with the Alamang because it's fishy. 😉
Yes, Lydia’s Lechon issssss the beeeessssst, wow I can still remember the taste even 30 decades already since I last taste it, ooooooohhhhh soooooo amazing super yuuuummmyyyy.... 😋😋😋😋😋😋😋
This vlog is so well done! I love how genuine you seem while eating 💛 it makes me want to eat the same thing! Love you guys!
Thank you!!!

Good to see you both Happy and always uplift our Filipino food even you are outside the Philippines 🇵🇭
Try Bopis, Beef Caldereta, Traditional Pork Face Sisig, Kinilaw, and Papaitan...
Ano yung kinilaw?
@@alexajones7789 kinilaw is a cooking process that is not actually being cooked...
Boneless fish fillet, soaked in spicy vinegar, 1 tbsp of sugar, pinch of salt, pinch of finely ground black pepper, grated ginger, finely chopped red onions, minced garlic...
No cooking needed...
Let the fish soak and marinated with the mix...
For 30mins upto 1hour...

How about the Philippine beef loaf. Lol
ugggh some of my favorite Filipino food!!! Kare kare , laing and paksiw na lechon!!
LOL All these guys commenting on the managers minor mistakes! SMH!
She probably was just being polite and did not want to correct him. Plus it wasn’t rehearsed.
Anyways, she owns a restaurant that serves great Filipino food and she graciously accommodated them. That’s what matters!
Yeah she is such a gem PS: New Vlog out about Manila Airport 👉 ua-cam.com/video/zdw2MP2lVmE/v-deo.html 🤗Check it out!!!

The nilaga with corn is a nice touch. My wife and I actually started putting corn in our nilaga after trying Mexican beef caldo soup, which is similar. Nice food spread...I miss having easily accessible Filipino food. Thank you for bringing back memories of my childhood.
Johnny and I are currently drooling in our hotel room 😪
haha sorry not sorry :D
Kare kare sauce is krills (small fries of shrimps ) bagoong alamang. Bagoong isda is anchovies.
Ilocos version of dinuguan, dried one,is absolutely yummy

If ever you eat balut, please don't eat the hard part (the chewy part). It's usually in the bottom part if you open it correctly.
the hard part of balut use to be the egg white or the albumen, throw it away, it's chewy, but no taste to it. :)
Brixtonne James Jumawid am i the only one who likes to eat the white part?!
@@rangerdanger6593 Yes you are the only one. 😏 Just kidding but really I think you are part of the 1% of people who like it.
@@rangerdanger6593 I eat that part too! But ofcourse my least favorite. You just waste a lot of it if you throw it away.
@@rangerdanger6593 I like that white part as well.
I'm glad that you liked the food especially the Dinuguan.
Chicharon bulaklak u should try it. I know you’ve already try the chicharon. But try the chicharon bulaklak For sure you will be addicted to that!!! 😅
Sounds delicious - 🤗 New Vlog is online of us trying some amazing Filipino Foods in Makati please leave a comment and a like 😍
Wow...I’m impressed with your “daring” food adventure! No hesitation at all...simply great video.
Lydias lechon is one of my favorites along with the dinuguan. You definitely have a nice selection there. Yummy! Btw...since you guys are into food. You should look up MAGINHAWA ST. in Diliman, Quezon City. It's a whole street lined with Restaurants.
oh that is great to hear :)
Try Rodic's there in Maginhawa Street for their famous Tapsilog in which the Beef Tapa is put in a blender. You can eat it even without dentures! Hahaha!
Hai sir try pansit bihon and all its may favorite wow and what about adobong sitaw sir try it its very delicious and mongo hehehehe... try sir

All was amazing nices good delecios real tasted feel it! Injoy guys ! Gdblss takecare always all peoples.
I think you've already tried kare-kare. Paksiw na lechon i add oregano leaves(the dried one). It may sound very odd for u if i say i like dinuguan and pan de sal or puto (rice pudding) and i pour some dinuguan on my pancit bihon. The weirder the better.
Have u tried Sarsi w/ egg??? If u feel lethargic try that(not all know about this specially the millenials)
thank you for the recommendations :)))

I’m so glad that you appreciate our food. Few westeners know about Filipino cuisine. When they think of Asian, it’s Thai or Japanese. Now with social media people are more aware of Asian (Filipino) cuisine. Thanks for vlogging and promoting our food.
Shes not aware you cooked some of foods she serve in a healthier version hehe, hope yo cook taro leaves also. Aaa i thought dinuguan the last one will be new to you . beef mechado wow. You tried almost all filipino food i know ... Try the (original or quality) "papaitan" if possible. Also try to catch filipino fiesta if possible , takecare always :D
it's good you have someone who was able to explain, in detail, what the dishes are, because foreigners don't really understand what the ingredients are so they don't understand why the food taste the way they do but because of her you can appreciate the food more for what it is. kudos to that lady!!! is she the owner or manager?
did you guy's already try beef pares?
OMG....the food(makatulo laway)need translation....a perfect combination of all the food...great blog...miss Filipino food... watching here from Kuwait...I love laing(taro)and bicol express I'm a bicolana...thanks exploring the Philippines...take care always...and God bless!!!
Fish sauce or shrimp paste? Lydias lechon is one of iconic lechon in manila.
It should be shrimp paste 🙂
*krill paste
Or fish paste
I'm really loving everytime you savor the goodness and richness of Filipino foods... It makes my mouth watery and hungry. Loving it!
i want grill squid pleaseeee hehe
mouth watering filipino dishes,,chibog na guys
If you ate authentic bicol express and laing( taro leaves), you wont be able to eat it much because its on fire 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶
you're right Susan. Bicol express we usually called it gulay na sili back then, even your eyes will burn :)

Awesome and delicious Filipino dishes. Yes, there’s a lot more Filipino dishes that you need to try. Thanks again for sharing your vlog.
Hi!!! Try the adobo sa gata chicken. They call it chicken with coconot milk, luyang dilaw tumeric, with green papaya, dahon ng sili.
watching 3am in morning makes me really hungry! these foods are almost all my favorites!
i used to pass by Lydias Lechon in the 80s. going to baclaran. i would love the Oxtripe.
When rainy season my favorite dish is nilaga and my all time favorite all year round is adobo. You should discover all the versions of adobo all through out the country. You will be amazed how each region recreate their adobo based on their ethnicity
yes. Try Adobo Connection. It's a fast food place but everything adobo. It's not as good as the home cooked version of Adobo but it's still fascinating to see different ways to adobo.

Hi Nelly, I know that this video was taken last year in Dec but I only got the chance to watch it now. Anyhow, I've been following all your videos and glad to know that you're now getting settled in Legaspi Village, Makati. Just an observation and a comment which I hope you don't mind, after eating all the delicous array of Filipino dishes that you had, you failed to mention and promote the name of Lydia's Restaurant! The video may not have been a paid, but the least you can do is make mention of the name of the place who sponsored your meal and invite your viewers to try the place. Mike mentioned it in the beginning, but ending it at the end and reiterating to your viewers about it and how good the food is (if you really meant it), will surely make your host feel happier. As I said, this is just an observation and a comment and hopefully, in the future, you'll give more attention on this important detail in your future vlogs. Cheers!
Hi Mike and Nelly, I just found your vlogs today and I enjoyed watching you too trying our filipino dishes. If you haven't already try going to Tagaytay. I heard there are good "Bulalo soups" (beef soupy dish) out there. It's a nice place to stay at as well for a weekend getaway.
