Abandoned Silverlands Manor (Actors' Orphanage)

- Silverlands Manor (AKA The Actors' Orphanage) in Chertsey, Surrey was built as a large country house in 1849. It had various owners until it was turned into an orphanage when The Actors Orphanage moved there in 1938. During the war it was turned into a nursing school to train them for nearby hospitals. Soon after, the orphanage closed and then the nursing school remained until the late 90s, when it closed down and remains as a forgotten memory on the outskirts of the town.
Although there were no significant health risks it was still very dangerous and we do not recommend anyone attempts to enter the Manor. We welcome any suggestions and are happy to take advice and criticism.

Thanks so much guys what a great find...such a shame to see in such decay what was probably once a grand Mansion in equal standing as that seen on DOWNTON ABBEY .
