The Jean Medicin area is so nice, trains are just on the street , with lots of restaurants, even a very stylish McDonalds, there's also a bookshop , shoestore, there's also a huge Galleries Lafayette, its so nice that in the restaurants their menu is displayed outside including the prices as well. Oh and the promenade de Anglais is soooooo beautiful and it stretches forever with all the different names of the beaches . We just sat on those blue chairs , relaxed , enjoyed the Cerulean blue beach and did people watching . I enjoy Nice so much , also I found out that the beaches when we were there are not sand but pebbles or tiny and medium stones which are painful to the feet but still very nice . We also enjoyed Monaco which we took by train and its only like 25 or 30 minutes from Nice, but the trains has a schedule. Your video is so nice and informative . We also visited Cannes by car but its far like 45 min to an hour when we arrived there. I can go on forever...
Nice was beautiful! I visited summer 2022 and loved my time there. I will be returning after I graduated with my bachelors. Monaco is straight stairs 😅. When I do go back I want to venture out to Marseilles and take classes - perfumery, foods
Are there many people who live in Nice and Work in Monaco ? Is that simple when it comes to documents? I was thinking of working in Monaco just on weekends
excellent comments. all true. also thought post covid thought many Parisians left and moved to Nice? and btw ....often I do not feel safe in Paris these days.....
Great video. You didn’t mention Eze. That is the most beautiful village. The view from the cactus garden at the top is awe inspiring. I like the fact that Nice is still a big city so you have a seaside place but still a big city so there is always something to do. It’s metropolitan. I like how in depth you got on the video.
Sorry if this is a repetitive question... I wanted to know if you're fluent in French and how you learned. And thank you so much for uploading this video.
No problem at all! Yes, I'm pretty much fluent in French now after being here for 3 years but I didn't know anything at all before i moved here. I've actually got a video about my experience and my best tips for learning French here: ua-cam.com/video/kquyidrq6Bg/v-deo.html :)
I just moved to Nice about a month ago- I really love it here perfect public transport, the beach, food, nature. Only issue is I feel like the street harrasment is so intese. Everytime I am out I get men coming to me, yelling at me, making sexual comments ect.
Ugh I'm so sorry you have to deal with that :/ I think France in general definitely has a huge problem with harassment like that. I'm happy to hear that you like the city otherwise and I hope your experience gets better!
@@UA-camdisco Listen I still think you should come if you want- The good outweighs the bad 100%. I am getting ready to move back home as my studies are almost finished and I don't regret it at all. I would say you just need to know some basic phrases to stand up for yourself and like any city walk with confidence.
Unfortunately I did not! I mainly only went to places that I could get to by train/bus + a short walk. Or by making friends with people who have cars ;)
Very professional video, u seems like a nice person. I'm interested in France in general but worried about the language. I studied a little bit in high school but it's very hard language for foreign people. Feel more familiar with Spanish or Italian. Can u talk english with locals in Nice or general in France? What's are chances to get a job if u speak only english? Thank you for this info video
In Nice there are alot of people who speak Italian so you could get away with not knowing French at the beginning, but eventually most jobs will want you to know at least a little bit of French
There's so many! In Nice, I'd say: Movida, Waka Bar, La Chupito (shot bar), La Reserve ($$$ restaurant but with seaside views) Cap d'Ail: La Pinede, La Reserve de la Mala
Sorry about that! The main websites used here are Indeed, LinkedIn, Welcome to the Jungle, Leboncoin, and then Facebook groups for jobs in the French Rivera. Hope that helps!
I have always wanted to visit france but considering to apply for tourism visa. Can I literally get a job with tourism visa and decide to live in France
Just, why have you left Nice if you think that this city is better for your mental health than Paris ? And if you think that Nice carries so well its name (only pronounced differently), when will you get back in Nice ?
might be nice if, when you give us info about a neighborhood, that you cut to some clips of that neighborhood to give us visuals.... thanks for the info!
Black girl living in Chicago and I would love to live in Nice France! I’m visiting this August!
I'd love to go someday! South side...lol

I think Nice is a good spot for a bit of everything - medium sized, next to ocean, Swiss Alps, Cannes, Italy, Monaco, etc.
I really love the facts you share!! Nice is amazing and that whole Riviera leading up to Italy is spectacular!!!
Thank you so much for this! Moving to Nice for the summer to improve my French and this video honestly saved my life
you'll love it!
I came across your video and I much say it lovely and love your courage moving to a county you don’t know anyone
Thanks for the tips, I'm taking my family there in August🎉. The way you share your experiences and opinions is exactly what I was looking for!
Glad I could help!

So exciting!! You’ll love it 😍🇫🇷
What’s a practical monthly cost of living estimate for a single individual to budget to live in Nice 2024 ?
J'adore ton accent français, Tiana ! This was such an in-depth video. Bon boulot ! Congratulations on your master's program and your new job in Paris.
Merci beaucoup ma belle!
Oh my gosh, glad I came across your video. So, in depth 🙏🙏🙏

Same, what did you find?

Yes, Eze is stunning!!
I’m glad you enjoyed, thanks for watching! 😊
Wow! Thank you for this. I just looked at some pictures online. It's spectacular. We can't wait to visit.
Eze is great if you are a mountain goat! Also parking is difficult.

I just came to Nice d'Azur two weeks ago for studies. Would you mind to hang around together at shore's.
Omg so it’s NYC. Smh… Hope it gets better ♥️
Interesting... I'm wanting to move here but want to feel safe.

Thanks for much for this video! Great to get all your opinions, super super helpful!
Great video and information! Thank you Tiana! Please keep doing videos with this kind of info. 💕
such a great video, thanks for all the info 👌
Did you have a car? If not, how did you get out of the center to do other things (like hikes)?
Unfortunately I did not! I mainly only went to places that I could get to by train/bus + a short walk. Or by making friends with people who have cars ;)

Found you on an expat group.. Looking forward to seeing your videos!!!
I would love to move to the south of France. Excellent video Tiana Marie!
Super informative. Gracias!

Hi!!! What's the COVID restrictions when you cross land border from nice to Italy? Thanks!!!
as far as I know there are none at the moment!
Great video!
Thanks for watching, Markis!
Nice ...Thanks
We are renting minutes from Place Garibaldi, the Port, Nice Old Town. Is this a safe and nice area?
Yes 👍🏽
Does Nice have great gyms for working out?! 😁💪🏻 🏋️
Do you have any ideas of moving to the UK in the future
I would love to maybe live in London someday!
@@WhereTianaTravels london is horrible and dangerous and they hate Americans here don’t move to the uk it will ruin your life

I was wondering, could you explain why you decided to go back to Paris?
I got accepted to a Masters program in Paris, so I moved back for that 🙂
Is the cost of living in Nice cheaper than in Paris, generally?
I found it to definitely be cheaper than living in Paris forsure
Sounds like you speak French well, from your accent. Did you know French before going?
Thank you! I knew absolutely zero French before arriving but it's been almost 3 years now so it's grown on me I guess 😂
Really great info...thanks! 🌷 Congrats on going for your master's degree.
Thanks so much! 🥰
I have always wanted to visit france but considering to apply for tourism visa. Can I literally get a job with tourism visa and decide to live in France
You can't work in France on a tourist visa unfortunately
Merci chuchu

I moved back to Paris because I got accepted into a Masters program here. Nice is great yes, I plan to move back at the first opportunity I get
@@WhereTianaTravels Congratulations!!
Might I just say that you are not an expat but an immigrant;
You said you were giving history of Nice. You gave no such thing.
