The Flying Bulls are based out of Hangar-7 in Salzburg, Austria and operate four fully demilitarized Fairchild Dornier Alpha Jets. This particular aircraft features the iconic tiger nose as well as a fully custom Red Bull paint job.
All four Alpha Jets have proved themselves technologically in their deployments and are also flown, in accordance to the Flying Bull vision, at numerous air shows- to the great delight of a large international audience.

What a dinky little jet. Beautiful.
This has to be one of the coolest little jets around. I fell in love with this airplane in 1975, when as a kid I assembled a "Revell" plastic 1/72 scale model of the Alpha Jet.
I used to work across the road from hanger 7 and saw these aircraft moving about daily. We used to have lunch in the restaurant.

@@NickIRBB Die Firma Dornier in Friedrichshafen arbeitete im Unterauftrag (Auftragsentwicklung) mit der Alpha-Jet-Entwicklungsmannschaft vor Ort in Cordoba und in Friedrichshafen. Große Teile der Prototypenfertigung und auch der Erstflug mit erster Erprobung fanden bei Dornier in Oberpfaffenhofen statt.
das Design ist 100% Dornier....Frankreich wollte allerdings ein Flugzrug welches trudeln kann drum haben französische Maschinen kein Staurohr vorne

Wonderful planes and a fond recollection having flown in one of these on the range from Beja in the late 80ies. Flies like a WW II bird, only much better.

Nice video, nice aircraft. They were supposed to be at our airshow this year (Legendy Nebes in Hradec Kralove), but unfortunately the airshow was postponed, so hopefully I will see this machine in a year.

It was co-manufactured by Dassault Aviation of France and Dornier Flugzeugwerke of Germany. It was developed specifically to perform trainer and light attack missions.
This little jet was a highly expensive trainer and light attack a/c developed in the 80's by Dornier and Dassault aviation. I remember a report criticising the expenditure, it was claimed to be just as expensive to purchase for the Luftwaffe as the f-4 phantom at the time!. The concept of light attack aircraft was given up with the advent of reliable manpads. I know a former luftwaffe pilot who flew f.4 and tornado jets. He experienced "dact" against the alpha jet flying a phantom, and rated the alpha jet "very difficult" as an adversary.
@@baronvonklik7159 das mit den Kosten ist bullshit.....Deutschland musste den Alpha Jet wegen der Abrüstungsverträge verkaufen.....in den USA werden die deutschen Alpha Jet als Gegner für Dogfights geflogen und im Sichtflug haben alle modernen Jets oft große Probleme......
